  1. I'm 34, been on fin for almost two years and luckily the crown has moved much since that time. Thanks for your input.
  2. Curious on the forums thoughts on my donor. I have a procedure coming up for 3k grafts.
  3. My hair is extremely straight by nature. Almost needle like until grown 2-3 inches. It makes the donor look.. not great upon waking or sweating a lot, after a long day etc. After a shower it looks more than 2x dense, like a perfectly normal donor.
  4. Theres a difference between sensitive skin and skin that is prone to keloid scaring. Google keloid scars. One also must assume the patient in question visited a hair mill. Bad combo. Dozens of factors go in to play for a safe and professional HT.
  5. You might be able to squeeze 1500-2000 including beard grafts but i'm not sure if that will be enough coverage for your loss. Still more hair on top is better than no hair. Get on the treatments and reevaluate in a year. Good luck man!
  6. Also insane - the redness (from 5k grafts) subsides in about a month? Wow. OP - were you taking any supplements or lotions for the redness? What was your post-op care like? Pretty crazy.
  7. You may start on low dose fin 0.25mg for a few weeks and see how you react. You can always stop. Even 0.25mg will help.
  8. From bald to NW2 in 9 months. 1 procedure. Congrats man.
  9. Equally impressive to the results so far is the fact that FIN basically froze your hair loss in its track 20 years ago. Thats insane.
  10. I get it though. Life is rough. Money can be tight. There is always a risk even with the best clinics. The difference though is not only the skill but the patient aftercare which lends peace of mind to the person being operated on.
  11. 1. Make sure donor is properly healed 2. Sanitize your clippers 3. Cut hair
  12. As far as HT's go, it's a budget clinic. In theory, people who are on a tight budget do not have the resources to bring about pressure on places like this.
  13. He means 1 more operation. For now I would enjoy your new dome as it gets better week by week. Congrats man.
  14. This. Hell I might even add DUT once a week and oral minox in a daily smoothie for good measure. To OP, I believe Eugenix recently had a patient similar to your situation, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkfa0V0n-nM Edit - His name is John Cross, crusader against the unholy norwood. Good luck and keep us updated.
  15. Looking good man, great coverage! I bet you wish you could freeze the hairs in place and fast forward 10 months. 😄
  16. Fantastic result. You went from random balding dude to Eric Bana real quick! Congrats.
  17. Out of the four options listed I would choose Dr. Bicer. I also found it difficult to communicate with her clinic though. Sending multiple pre-consultations through her clinic and this website. Not even a response. Very unfortunate but they are likely swarmed with requests.
  18. First of all congrats on a clean operation. All the best going forward. However, I don't understand why someone would get a HT without using fin knowing the hair behind it will eventually thin and fall out. Balding doesn't stop at a certain age. Even if you were to get a second HT, you're going to need more grafts to cover hairloss you could have saved with fin. That means less grafts for the future, a larger operation which includes more trauma to the scalp and more uncertainty. Get a generic 1mg script and split in in to 4's (.25mg) and titrate up.
  19. I would like to see pics of the donor pre operation also. I agree with naming the clinic. Although the tone of the thread is already set, what if you had a great result at 5 months? Would you not share the name of the clinic? Of course you would. Transparency is important here. Also, are you on finasteride?
  20. I'm sorry you're going through this. Some things to keep in mind - Its only 5 months. Wait until about 10-12 months before you freak out. - Have some perspective. We're all fighting a losing battle. You're not slick bald. There's plenty of hair on your head. If this HT fails you can salvage some donor+beard hair for even better coverage. And hopefully you won't choose another hair mill for the procedure. - You're gonna need to keep the back and sides super short for now + stop staring in the mirror all day. What's done is done. Look forward. There's still time for recipient area to improve. - There are doctors who can fix this, but it won't be cheap.
  21. If you can tolerate 1mg I would stay on that. Hell if you can tolerate dutasteride I would stick with that. I've never tried it yet however. 1mg only inhibits about 40% of dht in the scalp.
  22. Preserving as much hair as possible is the name of the game. You still have plenty left to lose, and if it goes i'm sure you're gonna feel that much worse about your appearance. Get on fin and stay on it. Generic form is 1mg, get a pill cutter and start out at .5mg for a few weeks until you feel safe to go to 1mg. Plenty of guys stay on .5mg effectively still. I wish I knew about fin at 24. Get on fin.
  23. I would grow your hair out for a few weeks and take new pictures. Your hair is light with fair skin so it's harder to judge based on photos. Also, did you get SMP done?
