You want to harvest grafts from the crown, that area is usually the most prone and first to go. It's a gamble and most surgeons probably won't do this.

Judging by your donor, in order to not look absolutely ridiculous from the back you're going to have to find a surgeon who will meticulously extract from a wide pattern, or extract from higher in the donor. Even then you will probably disappointed in the donor appearance when all said and done. Maybe go very conservative like 1-1.5k grafts to fill in the temples. Frontal third looks ok density wise.

FWIW your hair is undeniably better at this point than it was pre surgery and you still are at the half way point. You have favorable hair characteristics as well with respect to the illusion of density. Congrats man.

It looks below average. The back is thinning and the area behind the ear is also thinning. Your sides are still intact so it should be easy to frame the face aiming for the hairline/frontal 3rd. Honestly I would reach out to eugenix. You mentioned bisanga but seeing your donor I don't think he would accept you. Be sure to reach out anyway. With eugenix, it's not that they are anything special compared to the other elite doctors recommended here, it's the fact that they are highly vetted with a LOT of patient stories plus the forum admin, Melvin, has a direct line to the founders if something were to go wrong. With 10k you have a few options also at eugenix.

Depends on how long you like to keep your hair and your skin/hair contrast. This is my biggest fear as well and has held back my procedure. I have dark hair, fair skin and decent donor but it's not exactly a thicket. You can always try and plead with your surgeon to spread out the extraction pattern.

It's pretty funny how Bicer was like "buzz off pal, you don't need a ht" and Bisanga was like "hmm a NW2? yeah, come on down pal!". That sounds about right. 🤣 Kudos to Dr Bicer. I don't see a problem with filling in the temples. It doesn't even appear that bad, maybe just the left temple? Lowering the hairline would be risky though. Regardless, the meds seem to be working for you so stick with that.

A lot of men get ED as they get older. If you've been on fin starting at 28 then had one episode of ED eight years later at 36 that could def be natural. It's hard to know. There are still risks nonetheless when using fin. I didn't have any side effects until about 7 months in. It wasn't random ED years later either. I straight up had loss of blood flow "down there" and also felt a sharp drop in mood. It lasted about a day and I was able to power through it with no recurring episodes since. Can a once or twice occurrence be attributed to fin? Or is that simply anxiety? It's hard to say. I would think that if you are prone to side effects then they shouldn't just "go away". But the body does adapt. Side note - Have you consulted your doctor about combining DUT+FIN? What is the efficacy on 3 days DUT 4 days FIN? If FIN was no longer working I would stick with DUT once a day.

These generally improve quality of life especially d3. So if you don't take these yet, then...maybe?

Not only do you NOT need a transplant, but if this is your hair at 25 you more than likely will never need one. Style your hair better if you want to hide the corners. (get a haircut) Goodluck.

FWIW I have not had my procedure yet. However, after 6 months and unsatisfactory growth I'm not sure I would acquiesce such a request by my surgeon. It's also worth noting that even if you posted photos for us to judge growth, you can still withhold the Dr's name. This gives the doctor anonymity (Debatable if that is even necessary, this being a patient oriented forum after all), while also giving you a chance at some insight from ton's of former patients and experts. I do wonder if some simply exaggerate or outright lie about the surgeon asking them not to post photos as an excuse because the patient themselves are simply embarrassed at the result. In that case you are doing a major disservice to us all.

You might be surprised at the small but positive changes on FIN. A proactive approach to mitigate physical side effects before you start FIN would be to lower body fat thus lowering aromatase expression. This would provide a better balance of e2 to test levels and can be easily done by keeping dietary intake just slightly below maintenance while increasing protein and fat intake. You still have plenty of hair to keep on the crown and lateral humps. I've used keeps but beware it is subscription based and auto renews every 3 months or so.

Just want to get this out of the way. I'm not advocating for a no-lifting approach. You should be working out heavy and often. Along with low intensity sustained cardio. But if you're also prone to MPB, get on FIN as well to be safe.

No need to be a twit and editorialize mate. Here's what I said No where did I say MPB causes or is solely determined by training. Use some nuance. I'm not even sure what you're arguing against here. I never said having that simply high DHT means you'll lose hair. If you're prone to MPB, increasing DHT conversion will be detrimental to keeping your hair.

Taking FIN is a different story. Of course FIN will stop a lot of DHT conversion and slow down hairloss.

Quote me where I said training causes MPB. You can't. I said if you're prone to MPB training and leaning out will definitely accelerate that. In your fantasy scenario a guy with minimal DHT who is losing hair, begins to train everyday and increases DHT = no additional effect on hairloss? Rethink what you're saying here.

His hair is (substantially) longer in the after photos.. I'm gonna' go with "INCONCLUSIVE" on this one. Sorry fellas.

PED's or not, training like crazy WILL accelerate MPB if you're prone to it. Its happened/happening to me. A few years ago I went from casual 2-3 times a week to training every day and leaned out while getting a lot stronger.

Like the guy above me said, get on medication and see how you respond. That's the gameplan for young guys with aggressive diffuse loss.

The picture 3 years pre HT tells me the donor was already slightly thin. That plus the the surgeon extracting from the typical 5-6 square inch space we see so often. 🙄 Was it over harvested or simply not spread out enough? Its six of one, half-dozen of the other.

The donor looks below average/bad. You may not like the appearance after 3-4k grafts. Unless you only get haircuts maybe once every 2 months. Some don't care what the back of the head looks like and just want to frame the face better, regardless if the back looks goofy as a result. I've seen it far too often on here and other sites. Just my 2 cents.
