  1. Given Dr.Zarev's history with unbelievable results in high norwood patients I believe its a yes absolutely.
  2. In my view shorter hair will always result in a "see through appearence" of some sort especially in high Norwood cases. Howeaver if you leave it longer it should be able to cover it in one way or the other minimizing the scalp visibility significantly.
  3. They recommended me to stop blocking therapy during the post op period but it was mostly due to the fact that I was taking already lots of medications and they didn't want me to overload that. It was only a week though so nothing bad came through it.
  4. Yeah that's the biggest problem of this industry is that people fall for marketing tactics way too easily but sometimes it may also be out of laziness to do proper the research and the time it takes. Then there's also money which makes them go cheap and play russian roulette with bad clinics.
  5. It goes to show that no matter how "ethical" or valuable their advise on medications might be if the skilset is not the best then the results will likely end up disapointing. I myself had a couple of consultations with a UK surgeon here to the point of even considering him as a possible surgeon for my scalp, howeaver I found out that comparing his results to patients from clinics such as Freitas, Ferreira or Pinto they would fall way bellow so I am glad I risked his name from my list. 4 years ago shortly before starting medication I was on the verge of taking a drastic decision of going to surgery with a local surgeon because he had good trustpilot reviews, howeaver he himself stopped me and showed me the way to meds before coming to this forum. I feel like coming to places such as these made a tremendous difference in my views as I sitted back during quarantine to ponder for my next steps.
  6. Honestly I don't believe this. Beard grafts are as good as any other grafts transplanted on the top. Yes DHT does stimulate them during puberty until they are fully out but once that's done there shouldn't be any impact on them. Which is why a lot of 5ARI users still go to lazer their body hairs even during treatment. I have been on 5ARI myself for almost 4 years and my beard grows as thick and as long as it did before to the point where I have to shave it every other day to keep the area completly clean.
  7. Different doctors bear different opinions but as a diffuse thinner that has been on meds for over almost 4 years I can say that I haven't lost a single hair since I started medical therapy, on contrary I have only seen improvements since then. I firmly believe that the overwhelming majority of patients either diffuse or not will be able to maintain for life in case they decided to commit on 5ARIs.
  8. Watheaver is shedded due to Minoxidil will eventually regrow better and stronger. Dont listen to the people who say that it makes your hair worse, its completle hearsay. So ride it out, you will get your hair back.
  9. You're good, I would try to avoid scratching because the skin may still be going through some healing. The grafts are fully safe though so no need to worry on that end.
  10. In your position I wouldn't even think about having HTs. One can barely notice that you had any hair loss so far. You're on point mate, amazing progress.
  11. Starting the second week all folicles should be safe enough for you not to worry about them. You might have the odd episode here and there or some scares but generally the folicles are safe. I blew a pimple around day 11 and was concearned about having damaged the hairs nearby, I didn't see any of them in my hand and the ones that were near the area remained before shedding in the next two weeks. Those those same hairs started growing while I was on holiday and are still maturing to this day.
  12. I cannot say of Bicer since she wasn't my doctor but having waited 14 months for my surgery with De Freitas was worth it. All instructions were clear, his staff is always quick to reply even during holidays and easily reachable. They also made my mind at ease in moments of doubt and panic. They knew their thing and their job was nothing more then professional. I can't vouch for the results yet but I have seen some good progress so far within these 5 to 6 months but I will have to wait before evaluating further.
  13. Congratulations over your result. Hair came very strongly.
  14. Seems like youre a quick grower, you're almost there. Considering your loss wasn't as advanced I think you will be fully happy in the next few weeks.
  15. What Gatsby said. Consider topical Dutasteride aswell, Melvin also had side effects from the Finasteride pill and responded greatly to Zyon. You got some good doctors in your list, consider spreading it with a few more names in case you already havent and consult with them all to see what are their views. Bruno Pinto and Bruno Ferreira are also class doctors to consider.
  16. Some regrowth in the crown yes but Im only almost 6 months in. I am also on 5MG of Oral Minoxidil I order from AllDayChemist.
  17. Yes and Yes. Brands don't really matter so long as you take them from a real pharmacy.
  18. NHS seems like a hit or miss sometimes. Like I couldn't get my oral min prescription from them because they were apparently off label but I've seen people getting them without much fuss.
  19. Yep. Not sure if this is because of any of the blood test content that you would be doing for the blood test that you had to pay but in my case it was 100% free. I let them know beforehand that I needed to do it and made sure to book it like a month before.
  20. After 8 days you can't really lose a graft. Its also normal to lose a couple of "hairs" while washing post transplant, the folicle still remains safe in your head despite this.
  21. I wouldnt bother with brands, they all work the same imo. The inactive ingredients vary but efficacy should be the same since they all contain the same MG of the active ingredient.
