  1. No issue as payment usually goes towards the surgery if you agree to proceed. Time is precious for a Dr after all. If you want a serious evaluation then I think it’s reasonable to pay a fee. These surgeons are often getting 100s of requests a week. It’s a good way of helping sort which cases are serious and those which are time wasters.
  2. Perfectly put The result is going to last a lifetime remember.
  3. Now I’ve seen this frame it does very much look like a hair system.
  4. Lists can he useful but I wouldn’t let them be your final deciding factor. That should always be your own eyes (this is where research of cases is key) and the feel you get from a surgeon. As above plenty don’t appear on these lists who are world class operators. For example on the IAHRS website there’s 1 surgeon from Spain and none from Portugal. It’s an open secret those regions are blessed with some of the best surgeons in the world.
  5. Absolutely , he’s 77 years old after all. Arnold similarly had work done about 10 years ago to refine his hairline. Since then granted he looks to have lost more native hair but it’s still a nice look for a 76 year old. I’d be delighted to still rock such a defined frontal third into my 8th decade!
  6. I recall he went from jet black to grey almost overnight. I suspect his last transplant was done around this period as it coincides with it. Looking at his hair 10-15 years ago he had clearly already had some work done at that point too. (or was wearing a piece)
  7. I’d re send if you haven’t had a response Dr Bicer only operates on 1 person a day, they’re such a small clinic that I think they sometimes get a little snowed under with requests. This time of year more so when the ‘Best’ lists for 2024 are published.
  8. It was around the €3.5 mark in 2023 . Not sure if prices have changed this year.
  9. You’re ahead of schedule. I wouldn’t worry about density until at least months 10-12 when the final result takes shape.
  10. I think yes it’s a real thing and makes sense. But there’s also other factors in place which can be attributed to other things too. For example there’s a possibility when harvested grafts were damaged. They subsequently grew but later died off.
  11. 1/3 of the way through, man what a great guy. He radiates positive energy.
  12. If you do go down the much cheaper generic route stick to the same brand. The tablet can be compounded differently brand to brand which potentially impacts consistency. I’ve seen numerous people attribute changing finasteride brands to inducing large sheds
  13. Pittella hands down. You know exactly what you are getting when you go. His new Norwood scale also gives you a tailor made procedure. Eugenix have been a great option in the past but recently I’ve seen a few questionable results. The involvement of more junior techs would alarm me.
  14. Can only echo the above posts. My most rapid period of hairloss was from around 27-30. Between 16-25 I had recession but it remained relatively stable. 20 is way to young to consider surgery. I know you want a fix now but please trust this forum. It’s a collection of people who have gone through hair loss and are speaking from experience. In the long run you’ll be grateful (even if right now this isn’t what you want to hear).
  15. This would be my own preference too, fantastic results and Couto is also very economical with grafts. Like you say in your original post the waiting time may be excessive, I guess it then boils down to how long you’re prepared to wait. I prefer Pekiner to De Freitas. Long term as hair thins with age I think they’ll look more natural than rows. Not sure on Larwong he’s very new to me. He’s results seem good on here but he’s not been around long enough for me to make a strong judgment. That’s not to say he’s a great surgeon and only my personal thinking.
  16. Vera are sponsors of Everton https://www.evertonfc.com/club/partners/vera-clinic
  17. That’s fair enough, can only apologise if that’s the case. 3 is still a lot given Yaman tends to do very large sessions 4,5 even 6000 sessions . I’d hope for the days which see large sessions the number of people is lowered.
  18. Yaman is a good surgeon but I fear he’s treading close to the Asmed / Koray route of expanding too quickly. The stories above of 6-8 surgery’s a day are alarming. I’m not sure what his packages are and the breakdown of Dr / Tech involvement but with so many surgeries a day Yaman’s role must be minimal now. There’s nothing wrong with tech involvement but the larger operation you have the harder it is to remain consistent.
  19. Both elite level surgeons. I’ve never seen an Ahmad botch, it’s basically a guaranteed success. You can’t put a price on that. If you’re able to drop 30-40k on a new car then why not your hair? For a lot of us it’s economically it’s out of reach but taking a step back and assessing…we’re talking about someone at the very top of the game, the price reflects that.
  20. With the right supplements you can absolutely improve your hair health. If you are lacking in something and can address it then naturally the hair will get stronger and potentially thicker. Long term however you need to go beyond natural supplements if you want to halt or significantly slow down the progression of losses
  21. It’s been quite a journey, after coming so far it’s only right to finish the job 😀. It’s crazy to look back now, especially when you see compare. Best decision I’ve ever made. Thanks 😁
  22. He’s got a ton of cases on his Instagram page, granted they aren’t independent but they are presented clearly and documented excellently. It’s a yes from me. You only have to look at the respect he’s built up around the world from other Dr’s to realise this guy is the real deal. Unless he dramatically changes his approach I don’t see his work falling off . It’s done very methodically, there’s less variables due to the level of planning involved.
  23. Thanks for your reply and kind words, that’s reassuring. I’ve weighed up not having a second surgery but due to the thinning midscalp / crown I’m limited to a longer hair style. A second surgery will enable me to have more freedom. I’ll also finally be able to go out on windy days without that lingering worry at the back of my mind 🤣
  24. Now that my scalp issues seem to be over Ive begun the process of planning my second surgery. Interested to hear how many grafts people think I’ve got left? Unfortunately my right side is maxed out I think, I’ve enclosed photos from April 2023 and now of the area. As you can see compared to the left it’s not as strong but it has bounced back a little . Given my age I’m also worried about future recession too and maxing out completely now.
