  1. This is the response from HLC: The answer of doctor is It looks like a very small area is affected, like 2-3 grafts at most, I hope it didn’t affect deeply but even if so , it is a small area and it can be touched up. They said I likely lost 2-3 grafts for sure but hopefully the surrounding area isnt damaged. Not the best answer I was hoping for but nothing I can do about it now. I am also not clear if the doctor knew I am on day 18 when it happened.
  2. Thanks everyone for all the replies. As everyone has said, the hair follicle likely didnt fall out. Can the follicle get damaged though from a bad trauma and therefore not grow properly? I guess that would be my main concern
  3. Thanks Melvin, your video made me feel better! Your injury looked much worse than mine so somehow I feel better. Sorry to say lol
  4. Haha, true that. Understood that they are impossible to remove at this point, I was more worried that I could have damaged the new grafts and they will not grow in. Obviously, It is impossible to say if they were damaged and will not grow back. I wont know for at least 6 months I guess the good thing is it would be (hopefully) a max of 4-5 grafts that could be affected by this damage as the bloody area is quite small. I just hope the surrounding area isn't affected as I slammed my entire front of the recipient area into the headboard. I am really disappointed in myself. I was extremely careful the first 2 weeks but have been more relaxed the past 2-3 days and this happens.
  5. Hi all, I was getting into bed and accidently smacked my head on the fabric covered head board of the bed. I noticed a small red spot on my head when I went to the bathroom. It looks like it was bleeding but nothing was absorbed when I dabbed the wound, right after it happened. It is also hurting a little. Its Day 18 now after the HT, almost 3 weeks. Could i have damaged some grafts? The first photo is extremely zoomed in.
  6. I had pretty good amount of pain until day 12 or so. I am on day 16 and my pain is 90% gone.
  7. Hi all, tomorrow is 10 days for after my HT at HLC and super excited to finally get these scabs off my head. However it seems as though there a many different methods on how best to remove the scabs and I was trying to get some good consensus on what to do here. According to HLC: "From the 10th day you can washing your new hair as usual. During washing gently rub with your fingertips in the growth direction of your hair so the crusts on the recipient area fall off." They also recommended to use a gentle shampoo (sebamed) and apply the foam and massage for a minute or two to help get out the scabs. I have also read people recommending to soak the hair in shampoo or conditioner for 30 minutes before starting to remove the scabs. Why conditioner over shampoo? Any difference at all? Melvin also recommended this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpdmLGpju5w My plan so far is to take a shower on low pressure to get the scabs wet, then use sebamed shampoo (since its ph 5.5) and let it soak for 20-30 minutes and slowly use fingertips to massage out the scabs. Some questions: - What method did you use? - Why conditioner over shampoo? - How easily do the scabs come off? Do I need to apply alot of pressure? -Should I try to get all the scabs off on the 10th day or just get as many off as possible? Thanks, I am a bit nervous about this. Cheers
  8. even HLC has a wait time of about 4 months currently, and they have at least 4 docs working all the time. Demand is crazy during COVID
  9. the lowest point is along the hairline i believe. you should ask your doctor
  10. I just did mine today with Dr Umut too! probably just missed each other. I thought he in general was very cool and did a good job. Bandages come off tomorrow so I will have a good look then. Looks like a great transplant so far. keep us updated!
  11. This is a great point, which I agree with. Your beginning photos of your temples show the clear bald spots. After that your photos are super hard to tell if you have a new hairline at the temples and how it actually looks. The only ones that give a decent idea are those recent photos of you on the airplane and i can see a clear hairline where there was none. Your hairstyle doesnt seem to lend a clear idea of your hairline. Trying combing it backwards so we can see it a bit. Regardless you need to be happy and I am very curious what the response from HLC is. I am going to HLC very soon and would hope for a good response from them.
  12. I also am curious about your results. Do you have pictures of yourself as a younger man with a full hairline? It seems like you have thin wavy hair anyways so you maybe are not able to get the density you are looking for.
  13. It is interesting as literally every clinic I went to, 2 in person, recommended between 2500-3000 grafts... how do I know if they are overharvesting? Interesting thanks for the info. Thank you! regardless I will start a low dosage of fin again too.
  14. Interesting, i consulted with several hair clinics in Germany and Turkey, The german one recommended about 2500 or so and most of the Turkish ones recommended 3000 or so. I went to a HLC consultation in person and this was their recommendation: We calculate for your front hairline up to the middle area about 80 cm2 in total. The front hairline area is about 40 cm2 and the middel part area is also about 40 cm2. We recommend to transplant the fornt hairline with 50 density and the middel part area with 40 denstiy. 40cm2 with 50 density will need 2000 Grafts 40cm2 with 40 density will need 1600 Grafts So in total we have surgery plan with about 3200 Grafts it seems a bit high to me as well, but at the time I did know that was too much. Maybe they want to have a very thick hairline to match the rest of my head? Should I ask for less?
  15. i took fin years back but stopped. I will probably start again. But the hairloss has already occurred now thanks, I appreciate the advice. do you think 3000 grafts is too much in my situation?
  16. thanks, I appreciate the advice. do you think 3000 grafts is too much in my situation?
  17. Please keep us updated, I have my HT scheduled with HLC for next month. Looking at your before and current photos, my only thought is that the hairline looks good but the temples are a bit thin still. You also have styled it in a way that makes it looks quite bad. Perhaps the density isnt what you expected? I dunno
  18. Can you please post about your experience going to HLC , the clinic, and how the doctors treated you? Very curious. IMO you didnt need a HT at this point but good job going ahead anyways
  19. Location is extremely convient for me, would require less time off work, etc. and my friends recommendations! But the lack of reviews that I could find is disconcerting as you said. Linked below is a photo of my hair loss, I have been told I need 2.5-3k grafts for the frontal baldness and I have almost none in the back. I am 39 and took finesteraide for about 7 years in my late 20s = early 30s with mixed results. I did not really notice any difference while taking it and continued to lose my hair. I will start taking it again very soon. https://imgur.com/a/TgQSEdO I was quoted : Proaesthetic - 5000 Euro Dr. Cinik (istanbul) - 2500 Euro Cosmetictica (Istanbul) - 2500 Euro HLC - 8000 Euro Thoughts?
  20. Thanks for your response! I'm 39 and have had thinning in the front for many years and now it is getting bad so I've decided to get a transplant. I will post photos later. I was wondering if you had found any positive or negative reviews on the clinic i posted about? I will look into the clinic you recommended as well.
