  1. Sparky, good diet or bad diet, I dont think it makes any difference to how fast or how much hair grows. The body takes the nutrients it needs out of the foods you eat. the 3 weeks of bad eating wont make a scrap of difference. However eating healthier will improve your skin over time, maybe the lustre of your hair and you'll feel better for it of course. But it takes months before you maybe will actually notice a difference anyway. The only time your hair could suffer is if you suddenly stop eating through extreme stress, or your diet is so unbalanced ie you eat only french fries every meal, that vital nutrients are totally absent and you get sick eg scurvy from lack of vitamin c. I think you could even go on a controlled fast living only on water for a week or two and your hair would still be good, but dont try it just to prove me right...:-) cheers sunny
  2. are you on 1mg of propecia per day, or proscar or what? are you using minox 5% strength twice a day as recommended. maybe you could try proscar, 1.25mg per day. cut a 5mg tab into 4. maybe just a change like that might help. good luck
  3. If youre worrying....stop....like sparky said its just the start. Expect the process to take many more months and expect to feel a few ups and downs during that time. It may take a year to see the full result, and its possible for the really big change to take place after 6-9 months after the HT. Everyones timing is different. Are the brown spots tender to touch....if so its a large pimple. sometimes you get some inflammation and then it goes away. If its not a large pimple it could just be your skin characteristics reacting to the HT. I have fair skin and I can still see a very faint purpling in the front from the HT after 5 months. So i wouldnt worry.....give it time....cheers sunny
  4. TTP, I expect it will take 3 or 4 more months more before I see any significant gains. My hair is very fine and most grafts were in the crown which takes quite a bit longer to grow. I have faith in Dr Paths work though. Hes a good Doc. Yesterday a work colleague made a remark in front of a young and good looking lady from work that if he worked too hard he would end up losing hair like me....annoyed me I must say and made me a little impatient for results. Im not trying to impress anyone but I dont like my lack of hair being a reason for a snide joke either. Its been 5 months and no-one has noticed anything. I work in an open office. i look forward to the day when i can give them an excuse for the hair thats appeared...:-) anyway once again your results are encouraging. I'll be following your progress. BTW your hairline looks very natural...the absolutely MOST important part of a good HT. cheers Sunny
  5. I just had a look thru your blog. what a journey youve been on. But your hair looks great at the end of it. Another 1800 grafts will make another huge difference. Im going thru a period where I dont see alot happening....5 month mark.......so your pics are a great encouragement. Cheers Sunny
  6. Looks pretty good Bill. I like the font colours and arrangement. i think pages will take longer to load for me, but we'll see how it goes. Is the old forum going to continue in parallel to this one for a while? cheers
  7. Can I have some recommendations for a good volumising conditioner please. Im in australia. For the first time in my life my hair is dry and I only wash it now a couple times a week with a small amount of loreal shampoo, but I rinse in the shower each day. I can only think its the rogaine foam thats drying it out. thanks
  8. I find girls that dress up as you describe attractive. I find cougars even more attractive...lol That'll probably change in 30 years. lol....that made me laugh.....yes, we do find them attractive, its normal but do we want to marry them.....if we dont then we only want to have fun while we're young as is the custom today....hence the worry about our hair....more hair more fun...:-) but in 10 or 20 or 30 years you may regret the one you chose if you were in love for the looks and the body first. no one can say they cant get a girl....theres lots of girls....but if you only want the good looking girl with the hot bod, well just remember every other guy wants her too for abit of fun....choose carefully the one you marry is what I say....
  9. Son, I understand, but you have to learn to find these things for yourself....besides you dont think Im going to tell you all my secrets do you....
  10. Hey WB, 1 month to go....cool. bet you cant wait. Im doing great. no problems at all. the first couple of weeks after the HT were the hardest, with the healing process and telling people why the hat....I said i had an op on my head. no-one knows about the HT. I havent minded waiting for growth. no-one knows youve had it done if the growth is slow over months so thats fine with me. I'll be 5 months in a week. crown growth is really slow but the hair is there....:-) Im looking forward to seeing your blog and following your progress when youve had it done....cheers sunny
  11. depends alot on the women too. not too many beautiful women going out with bald guys unless theyre really good looking too and then it dosnt matter if they have hair or not does it. Of course if youre bald, paunchy and super rich you'll get a nice girl but probably for the wrong reasons. unfortunately we do live in a time where looks count alot, and we care more about our image because society has made it that way. we are affected by the forces of the age in which we live. Hard to break out of that too. Im older and wiser now....(I hope..lol) the hot good looking women who dress like theres a world shortage of fabric, love attention and think every guy wants them dont interest me anymore. same with older women who dress and act all foxy like someone off couger town. they'll always want attention from other guys.....trouble in the long run I reckon. Better to find a lady(nice looking or not) who has great character, high morals and a personality you love and who loves you for whats inside and will make you feel great about yourself no matter how much hair you have now or in 20 years time. cheers
  12. I had my stitches taken out back in Oz. I could only stay there for 5 days and I left 2 days after surgery. I went to my local bulk bill doctor and the nurse took out the stitches. no problem. some can bleed a little but thats nothing to worry about. One of my tension stitched bled for a minute. worst part was telling her I had a HT. Im always a bit embarrassed about that. If it were me I would still go to bangkok. If you have to re-schedule you dont lose your deposit. Dr Pat will keep it and it will be your deposit for the next appointment. I hope the flight problems are sorted out for you so you can travel dj. mission if youre worried about a hotel near victory monument maybe change hotels unless youve paid a deposit.Personally I think you'll be fine. too many people there for anyone to worry about you...:-) There was a thread here not so long ago with a heap of hotel recommendations if you want to change. i think the loft was a good one. Good Luck djames and mission cheers sunny
  13. Hey NN86, that was good. true, the better you eat the faster the result however if you want muscle it has to be done in the gym. you have to train hard and with weight to grow!!! I think hard training is more important than diet. I reckon i could push some pretty decent weights and put on heaps of muscle if I ate at mcdonalds twice a day and slept plenty...:-) Of course i wouldnt be lean...have to diet strictly for that....:-( but I would have heaps of energy in the gym. I agree with you about these get ripped quick programs and supplements....all sales gimmicks....you can get ripped fast but its a miserable time while you do it...restricted carbs and fat, training twice a day, tired most of the time, hungry, no enjoyment in life....better to take your time.....they make it sound easy. anyway I appreciate the info you gave....cheers sunny
  14. Ive been meaning to reply to this.... so vegetables are worthless....good, glad a big mac or KFC dosnt have any or I wouldnt eat it....no point then huh!! and a can of tuna at 2pm...can i substitute that for a fish pie... look the whole diet / exercise thing has to take into account the human factor....thats YOU....your personality, your motivation, your personal circumstances and work routine and family commitments, your food likes and dislikes and your exercise likes and dislikes. Its no good saying eat 6 small meals a day 5 of which include tuna in brine... when you work hard, like nice food and all you want to do after a days work is come home, have a couple beers or a wine and a good dinner... a weightloss program cant be standardised. you have to find out what works for you. If that means skimping on some meals like breakfast so you can indulge in others like dinner so be it...I do that...works for me. It means eating the food you like but deciding which meals to cut back on. Then you can do it long term. otherwise you give up after a couple months. but heres the bottom line.... you need to exercise. i dont care if its sex 10 times a day for 6 minutes a go....thats 60 minutes a time if youre on top....lol....trick is finding 10 different girls so you stand a chance...lol....but you need to exercise not just for weightloss but the health of your heart and for overall enjoyment of life for the other 23 hours....hang on...if its sex for 60 minutes you get 24 hours enjoyment of life :-) exercise speeds your metabolism and burns calories so you have to make it important....becz it IS!!! try to do it daily but no less than every second day......ok...walk, jog , gym, sex, wrestle with your wife, box with your son...theres times i would have loved to do that !!!...lol, i dont care just do it!!..thats it from me...cheers sunny
  15. yeh it feels like crap in your hair. your hair feels like an old cheap musty wig and smells like it too.....sure aint sexy!! I have a question. How long after it goes in can you wash it out again without reducing its effectiveness. Say I get up at 6.30am put it in then and wash out at 8pm before I go to work. would it still work the same. cheers sunny
  16. But dr kulahci missed a critical area in the front. then the same clinic missed it again. Sorry but the clinic as an organisation stands and falls on its worst practitioners...and from what I have seen here, I consider them incompetent....I mean how do you "forget" to do the front of the front....and twice??? come on....most important area people...and i dont think clipper has brushed the temple forward......its hard to brush hair in the way its not designed to go unless you grow it real long and even then its hard. ok with gel or something you can but you shouldnt have to use gel. I would be pissed but clipper has been very restrained I feel....... sunny
  17. well, after looking at those pics I for one would not be happy with this either. There is absolutely no excuse for a doctor to mis angle hairs as they have done in your case. Its the most basic and critical part of a HT to get right. who cares if the yield is great or the design of the hairline is great. If the hairs are all misangled it will still look un-natural and wrong. I wouldnt go back to these guys. My personal opinion is you should get a full refund so you can go to someone reputable and caring to fix it up. Maybe you could have another FUT and fix the scar up at the same time. And the yield looks poor too. But ok give it a bit longer if you have to, to prove your case, but overall you have a right to be unhappy at this stage....cheers sunny
  18. ...But Ive never ever seen anyone who obviously had a HT and now all the hair around it is gone and they look like a muppet or something. There must be thousands of 20 and 30 year olds getting transplants, then as they age they lose alot more hair leaving the island of transplanted hair. Do they keep going back for more or what. Its something we all think about... right. Its an expensive business too. I mean when youre single you can afford it but once married with kids its not so easy. how many more transplants will a guy in his 20s need to do so the first one dosnt end up looking silly..... Do young guys really understand what theyre getting into....maybe the family history of baldness needs to be researched a whole lot more before taking the plunge......cheers sunny
  19. Cheers Nick, I agree with you. I have a simple rule in the gym. The biggest guy pushes the biggest weight. So...if you want to get big you have to get those weights up. Of course theres lots more to the detail...concentrate on the basic compound movements like bench press, chins, dips, curls, squats, shoulder presses and continually go for weight....and eat well, get your sleep, train hard...have rest days, dont eat so much you get fat...and of course.... plenty of sex....:-) cheers sunny
  20. Thanks TTP. Im on Fin and Im using rogaine foam but I think I'll go back to the liquid after its finished. I had reduced libido with fin to start with but that settled after a few months. Hey, I can always blame it on old age cant I...:-) .no adverse effects from the minox. So it appears then that there's nothing thats proven to stop the frontal hair from being lost. I guess i'll just continue my once a day with minox on the front and crown fringe and hope for the best. I apply it at night before bed and wash my hair in the morning because I cant stand the feel of it in my hair during the day. cheers sunny
  21. Yeh, my hair would be grey but I use a product called silvercheck which I have found to be great (Im not selling this I just like it cz it works and is easy). Theres probably other similar products but I have found this one really good for my hair. Its exactly like hair conditioner, non staining and you just rub it through your hair once every couple of days. It dries quickly leaving hair soft and healthy looking and your hair stays the natural colour. Theres a website if you want to have a look. I tried dye once. never again.just a pain and then the grey grows in and you have to do it again. cheers sunny
  22. I thought minox helped prevent further loss from any area where hair is presently being lost, like the front and round the hairloss fringe area. Is this not correct. default dosnt think it helps much at all. Anyone else care to share info on this. I mean its about 15 bucks a month for rogaine foam and Im applying once a day and it leaves the hair kinda stiff. Is it worth it then?? If it only helps ever so slightly then its not worth the cost or the hassle is it. would appreciate some feedback from the experts on its effectiveness and the areas where it is most effective. and is once a day no good. does it have to be twice a day. any studies done or clinical results somewhere........cheers sunny
  23. If there was no sunburn, ie red and noticeably feeling like sunburn then I wouldnt worry in your situation. I used to give my head 5 to 10 minutes of sun now and then in the first month on purpose. you get vitamin D from the sun and I felt a little sun would aid in the healing process. I think its actual sunburn and consistent exposure that drys out the skin, not the limited amount of UV rays from a once only 20 minutes that would be a problem .If the skin blisters and peels you could damage layers of skin that protect the grafts and I guess this could affect the growth or even survival of grafts. And you dont want damaged skin from the small cuts being dried out by lots of sun. But Im not a doctor or an expert on this either . cheers sunny
  24. you dont say how long its been since the HT. If its more than a week dont worry; from what youve said its nothing. I think you would need some serious sunburn, like blistering and heavy peeling in the first couple of weeks to kill grafts and i dont even know the medical reason how grafts can be killed by excessive sun after the first week....maybe someone can tell me..... but pinkness from sun exposure I think would have no bad effect after the first week or two. i got some sunburn on my crown after 1 month...I mean I felt the sunburn...very warm to the touch and obviously too much sun but no peeling or blistering.... I was worried at the time, believe me, but I dont believe it killed any grafts. cheers sunny
  25. mate I appreciate the fact that youre trying to give some advice along with push this intrafit system that tells us all the secrets of weightloss and exercise that no-one ever told us before....but seriously, my english is good, but i need an interpreter for what you write.....if you want anyone here to read PLUS understand what you say, please find someone to write the message who is coherent....sorry but thats the facts of it.....I will listen and comment but its hard to decipher what youre saying....cheers sunny
