  1. Definitely not a footballer but keep an eye on Tom Delonge from blink 182, just ‘shaved’ his head and rumours he’s had a transplant:
  2. I think he must have been paid for them to be allowed to use it for marketing. His agent would have organised it you’d imagine, Guilherme Miranda who looks after mainly Brazilian footballers. You should reach out to some of the football agents @Melvin- Moderator I bet they just use Google to find surgeons.
  3. Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes went with Dr Cinik, TikTok video but shows a little of the extraction:
  4. @digi23 You’ve been nothing but objective, fair and pragmatic in all your posts. Thanks for sharing your journey honestly and I look forward to reading where you go next to correct the mistakes Yaman made and get the final result you deserve.
  5. What have the clinic said to you? At 6 months there’s still time for some improvement but I think the growth looks a little sparse from where your immediate post op photo to now, especially on the left temple. The majority of Arshard patients require a second top up procedure due to poor growth, he seems to offer this for free reading other posts.
  6. I’m in the UK. I think you’re making a sensible step, it’s worth a go for sure. There’s a user on here called @JDEE0 imo he’s the most knowledgable and unbiased when it comes to finasteride, it’s worth going through his posts on the subject, no hysteria just backed up research. You could try going to your GP and get a prescription but it’d be easier to get it from a website like Dr Fox (google it) I get the generic type in a 6 month supply, you could try a month supply to start of with, it’s relatively cheap. They’re 1mg a tablet, so just take one a day, no cutting etc. I’m not a medical professional but id suggest starting by taking it Monday Wednesday Friday, if after a couple of weeks there’s no bad sides, go up to 1 a day. Take consistent photos (same lighting/camera etc) every month and track your progress on it. I’m rooting for you man, we all empathise how rubbish you can feel when losing hair.
  7. A joy to read through this, what an experience! Will be following progress over the next 12 months. That last photo… hahahaha.
  8. At 5 months I’m glad I let mine grow out, at this length there is more than enough to cover up the recipient area whilst it thickens up. The temptation to buzz as soon as I could post op was so strong though and if I couldn’t wear a hat at work I would definitely have buzzed through the ugly duckling stage for sure.
  9. I’ve been taking 1mg a day for nearly 2 years and noticed no change in speed of beard growth or density, same for all other body hair inc the annoying areas like the top of my arms 😅 Know that everyone is rooting for your gatsby, I can’t wait to follow your progress after the procedure, not many deserve a good result more than you.
  10. Looks great for 6 weeks mate, with the native hair you have at that length you could probably pull off a cover up and no one would know. The dryness might be from using nizoral too much, I’d suggest using it no more than twice a week, maybe even just once a week. The same thing happened to me and I experimented with different shampoos, I switched the alpecin hybrid which moisturises and then nizoral once a week and the dryness all cleared up. You still might shed some more, even post 6 weeks. I’d say about 80% of mine shed bang on 3 weeks and then started growing at around 2/3 months. Design looks great and this time next year you’re going to look and feel amazing.
  11. I'd consult your surgeon and see what they suggest, from my research there's different advice ranging from fine to buzz after 2 weeks to only cutting with scissors until many months. If density is your concern, then there's going to be more of an illusion of density when there's some length to the hair. Buzzing it too short will actually make the hair appear less dense.
  12. Have you buzzed/shaved the donor area since the transplant? The native hair looks short for 3 weeks? If you have, maybe that’s aggravating the wounds.
