Thanks for your reply. I am nearly 32.5 years old Here is my hairline 6 months ago. I know it doesn't seem like much, but the hairline definitely has gone back, especially on my left side, which was the stronger side. The density has also become a lot weaker on the left. The right seems like it is starting to round towards Norwood 3. I am worried because I am getting mild sexual side effects on topical Saw Palmetto. I was planning on going on topical Fin ASAP

I have been using topical SP for a couple months. I get mild lower libido and EQ on it. From the reviews I've read on topical SP, most people report no sexual sides. I was planning on going on Topical Fin ASAP, but is this a bad sign? Does it show that I am very sensitive in terms of side effects? I have lowish Free Testosterone, and highish Estradiol. Both within 'average' ranges though.

It's ingredients is listed as a bunch of natural oils plus Saw Palmetto. A few weird things about it: It came in a bottle with no sticker attached. There was a note in the package saying that this was because it could not be printed fast enough because of Covid. So no ingredients or instructions on the bottle. Also, the one youtube review on it seems to be a fake one. More like a paid promotional. I bought it because it had SP in it and I wanted to try that before Fin. I started using it 11 days ago and my hair has looked better since. Trouble is, I seem to be getting mild sexual side effects from it, very similar to what people describe from finasteride. It is manageable at the moment, yet my libido and general mood doesn't feel the same. I am wondering if they have actually put finasteride in it. I have never heard of anyone getting sexual side effects from topical SP. The fact that there was no sticker on the bottle is a bit weird to me. I may get the substance tested at a lab to determine what is actually in it. I may be putting fin or dut into my hair and not knowing it.

This is a bit off the topic of this thread, but what do you mean by 'unregulated'? I have purchased topical fin/min from minoxidilmax, but haven't used it yet. Do they make it in a way that is worse than fin/min compounds from other websites?

So I've started taking a topical Saw Palmetto (Gorilla Grow) since last week. I applied quite a lot of it, and applied it four times so far. I left it in for nearly 24 hours yesterday. This morning, I felt unmistakably different. I had slight trouble getting a full erection, and also felt like I was back in a pre-pubsescent state. My previously very high sex drive/lust had been dissipated. To be honest, I felt really good. I was really upbeat and productive. I have actually struggled with p*rn and lust addiction for years, and I felt today like the teenage me before I got exposed to this. I know I'm speaking a bit too early, but if this is what mild side effects feel like, then I don't mind them at all, atleast in a low dose. Has anybody had the same sentiment? Edit- the low libido feelings subsided a few hours later, atleast to some degree.

Well damn, it may take up to 8 weeks to arrive in Australia. Thank God I ordered it now. Will start on the Gorilla Grow in the meantime I guess.

Well @JohnAC71 @Raphael84 @j1mmyyou have convinced me. I purchased a topical fin/minox combination an hour ago. It should ship in a couple of weeks. I think you're right, why delay it, especially as I have seen a bit of loss in density over the past 3 months, and was always gonna try topical fin anyway. I have ordered a low dose topical fin mixed with 6% minox which I will start once a week. So the journey truly begins now.

Well guys, my hairline definately has gone back in the last 3+ months, on both corners and at the front. It seems like I'm well on my way to norwood 3. Density at the crown is noticeably less too. I first realized it 2 weeks ago when I got a haircut. I have ordered Gorilla grow, will start with topical oils (that contain a bit of Saw Palmetto) for now. But I am thinking of gettin on topical finasteride soon. To be honest the difference is pretty significant in how my hair looks overall, at least to me. Here we go, the journey of trying to keep/get back a norwood 2.5 or better hairline begins

Thanks doctor. I am actually worried about my liver more, as my ALT level was 52, and I hear finasteride is processed through the liver. A question- would topical finasteride also be processed through the liver, or just oral?

I don't know where else to ask this question. My estradial levels are: 133 pmol/L (Average in men is 48-154) or 36.22 pg/mL (Average in men is 10-40 pg/mL) That seems pretty high. I'm pretty bummed to be honest. For any experts here: -Does that mean it could be risky for me to take fin? -Would people with these levels be better off not taking it?
