The healing process was pretty painless. It’s pretty insane that the only thing Konior has you take post op is OTC pain killers, but I can honestly say that I never was in pain. The itching was pretty bad for the first month, but after that, I didn’t have any noticeable impacts from surgery. Unbelievably clean work.

As for results, I’m right at 2 months, so not much action to speak of. I feel like there’s a few little hairs sprouting in different places, but I know I probably have another couple months before I see anything meaningful.

Enjoy the look while you can. I loved the way I looked for the first 10 days or so. I was probably back to my original hairline by 15-20 days so it didn’t last long before the shed set in. Now just trying to be patient and hope for the best.

    Thank you 👏🏼

yeah, I’m in absolutely no pain. Nor did I feel any pain after the surgery. I did take ibuprofen only because the hair tech was so concerned and thought that I was fighting through the pain.

Hopefully, I get to see your results! Best of luck boss.

I had a procedure with Dr. K in August and had the same bruising around a number of the extraction sites. Nothing to worry about. Within a week it was gone and my donor looked like it had never been touched. You’ll be undetectable back there in a day or two.

How’s your post op journey going so far?

Thanks for the heads up! Yeah, I actually don’t feel any pain or soreness on my donor area. It just looks like a bunch of red random dots lol

These two photos are of my right eye on the 3rd day. By the 7th day, it was swollen shut. There was no pain however, I knew it was just fluid an blood from broken capillaries. I didn't sweat it at all. Plus being in quarantine helped a ton. With thousands of scabs on your head during that time, you won't even be thinking about a black eye.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear this. Hopefully your eye is a lot better now?  During your recovery did you spend your first few days laying down? Or were you doing light activities?

Yeap, it is astonishing. The thought of being able to use "bruising" as an adjective used to describe an incision is impossibly crazy. Even still, the math doesn't add up for me. I don't see 1600 bruises; I see like 150. Truly a testament to the man's skills.

Looks like you don't have to worry at all with the pain I described in my thread =). Your donor compared to mine looks like it won a title belt because the opponent decided he couldn't win anyway and withdrew. My donor looks like I was knocked down several times as the fight went the distance.

Would like to see your procedure pics @BDK081522. Seems you've deleted your posts/threads.

    It’s all love bro 🤝

Those red spots are just bruising around extraction sites. Dr Konior's punches are so well done that they're virtually undectable by day 3. The bruising is completely normal and just signifies that there was some bleeding under the epidermis layer. Nothing to be concerned about and they will be gone in the time it takes a typical bruise to heal.

Well just looking at those red spots, I can't see holes to go along with them. I just see red spots. I can't see holes at all anywhere. So if those red dots are the result of FUE, then your donor is truly virtually untouched.  I just can't see where 1600 extractions were made. Those red spots number in the low hundreds around your head. In any case, it is a testament to Konior's mastery if someone is confusing his excisions for pimples.

Thanks for clarifying.  I was a little confused, because I only see red dots on the back of my head and not the regular scarring patterns from other FUE’s.

They probably have something to do with your donor being harvested yes, not that I am insinuating it’s anything to be of concern . . Rather it was in bemusement of you being seemingly unaware of what the previous poster was referring to, as they stand out quite obviously in your pics 😊

Yeah, the red donor dots I was expecting. I thought maybe I had some scarring or bruising that looked a little out of the ordinary that I wasn’t seeing initially.

That photo isn't going to document your journey well. Takes practice, but here is what I do. Turn on sounds on your phone so you can hear the shutter sound as you take a photo. With two hands, hold the phone so that the touch screen is facing away from you (the camera on the touch screen side produces inferior pics). Position your index finger as close as possible over the take photo button.  Now raise your arms up and rotate the phone in your wrist so that the camera is pointed towards the back of your head. The top of  the phone will now be pointed away from you towards the floor. Crane your neck forward and tilt the phone so that it has a slight upward angle towards the back of your neck (this is important later as the hair grows back in). Then snap the photo. You might miss the button a few times, but you'll get it. You only need one good shot.

    Thanks boss!! I’m trying 😅😅

Thx for the update. About your donor area -taking pics would be better than video since you are doing it yourself. You should have a delayed timer option on your camera app -like 2seconds, 5 seconds, etc. I've found 5 seconds gives you a good amount of time to press the button to take the pic and then move the camera into what you think will be a good position -then try to hold it still so it can focus otherwise it will blur. Takes some trial and error of course -helps if you have a hand mirror in your hand that you use to look at yourself over your shoulder at the bathroom mirror -if you use the camera lens on the front of the phone you can see yourself looking at yourself on the phone screen and that can help you position it better too -that probably sounds mind blindingly confusing by reading it, but if you get bored after the games are over give it a try. :D

Also on your healing process, get ready for the itching. Glad to hear you are positioning your neck with towels. You may want to think about restraining your body and hands. Seen a few guys post about waking up the next morning and seeing some blood trails on their head and not realizing that they touched/itched the area during their sleep. For the body try to wedge yourself in with pillows. For the hands -I didn't do this on my own procedures, but I was thinking about ways with stuff you have around the house and I found if you take a smaller hand sized towel, cut an opening in the middle large enough to get most of your two hands together through it, then push your hands through the rest of the way, stretch rip it a little more so that its comfortable around your wrists but doesn't easily slide off over your hands -that will keep your hands together, and then run a cord/string/rope around the towel in between your hands and tie it to the foot of your bed so you have enough slack to move comfortably, but not so much that you can reach all the way up to your head.

And here's an interesting read about when grafts are secure after a hair transplant, some guys agreed to come in and let the doctors pull on a few of the grafts to see how many days it takes for the grafts to be permanent anchored. The 9-10 day range is the magic number, can help give you some piece of mind

    Thanks boss!

I truly appreciate it! I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for the healing tips too!

@MagnificentAl I wouldn't worry too much about the pain that @jimcraig152 is describing. I've had procedures with both surgeons and can tell you firsthand there was no notable pain a couple days after Konior's surgery. His donor sites are done so meticulously that there's no unnecessary trauma. Your donor and recipient will itch like crazy in the coming days/weeks while it's healing but I wouldn't classify it as pain. I just kept spraying the itchy areas with saline. That temporarily alleviates the itching but it comes back rather quickly. The swelling was pretty atrocious with both but only lasted a few days. Massage laterally and ice and you'll be good.

@BDK081522thank you so much for your insight! This response absolutely has me feeling relief.

Did your swelling start after the third day? Around what day did the swelling improved ?@BDK081522
