  1. It likely is over harvested, that post op doesn't look so good. People will ask what clinic you went to, I hope you went to a reputable clinic and not a hair mill, but I doubt that is the case unfortunately.
  2. Fair point, but it's easy to say that when you have plenty of hair. If you were cueball bald I'm not sure you would say the same thing.
  3. Your post op looks excellent, I think you're on track for a home run result.
  4. The point is, think about it. Why would a doctor undercut their prices so much if they can get 100% more? Hair transplants are a mostly efficient market, where the price is pretty much what the quality you should expect. People gambling with their heads for exceptions to the efficient market are, too me, risking too much. Now, after a certain price point, you get diminishing, or even worse returns. This is mostly to the disparity in US healthcare prices vs the rest of the world.
  5. It is a combination of technique and concentration, tools used, and extreme attention to detail to make sure the donor extraction is completely homogenous.
  6. Deleting the "bad" postings...I would have responded interesting world you live in where the truth is "bad"...is that a "bad" blue sky you see there, "bad" green grass? Sad to see.
  7. No dude, not to derail the thread but that's not the way to go. Your donor should be closely analyzed by the doctor, as well as your recipient. Anyway I hope your results turned out well.
  8. It will improve more, 4.5 months is still early. The next 2 months you should see plenty more growth so don't worry.
  9. The hairline you want is too low and will look unnatural. Your hair is fine and I wouldnt chase perfection with this whole process.
  10. @washingtondc You have very realistic and fair expectations. Simply put the work is not good, and the result is disappointing at best. Immedietly post op it did not look up to par, and it played out as such. I hope you can get some sort of refund for your troubles, but that is not worth the time and effort and struggle you have had to deal with these past two years. Im sorry that you're in the situation you're in, it's not your fault, you had good intentions.
  11. Look at Spain or Portugal for your next procedure, not Turkey. Also Hattingen in Switzerland. You are correct that the results are underwhelming. Don't roll the dice with another subpar procedure in Turkey, your donor area is more precious than $.
  12. Very natural result and the density looks very good, hopefully though the patient is on medication as his native forelock may thin soon enough without it.
  13. To be fair, from what I have seen he uses a lot of grafts (in my opinion too many) for small surface areas. I would caution that the OP should find recent results (in the last year) that he likes, and compare them with other top surgeons for similar graft numbers and see if he is still confident with his choice.
  14. As the video points out, transplanted hair can thin over time. The key word being can. Generally speaking, the more aggressive your hair loss is, meaning the more you lost at an earlier age, the more likely this will be the case. Most people do not go to Norwood 6 or 7 or bald this aggressively. So, I would generally tell most people not to worry about their transplanted hairs. My humble recommendation would be, if you are Norwood 6 or 7 in your twenties, you should definitely be on a DHT inhibitor to preserve your transplant, otherwise you will have spent a lot of money and time for multiple surgeries and rolling the dice with your result. In your 30s and 40s, well, you are probably safer. 50s even more so.
  15. Out of curiosity, which recent results have you seen that you like from him?
  16. Have things improved some more, are you happy with the result?
  17. Unfortunately, I don't think it will grow more than what you see (maybe 10% improvement or so perhaps).
  18. Hmm well I have never really seen before one temple much different/receded than the other, can you show me an example? Of course for the top, especially for diffuse thinners, there can be significant asymmetry in the hairline diffusion. But for the temples I haven't seen such cases.
  19. Dang sorry to hear that. So, I thought the order of operations is, before they shave your head the line is drawn. It is just easier to see visually where it should be that way. As for the grafts in the temples, well it is difficult to understand without pictures exactly what you mean. But generally the recession in the temples is symmetrical, so before seeing any pictures, it would make sense that the doctor would have to add close to an equal number of grafts to the left temple as to the right one.
  20. So it isn't over harvested in the sense they took too many grafts. 2500, if done properly, should not over harvest your donor in that surface area. However, they likely did not know how to do the extractions properly so they damaged adjacent tissue, thus caused larger scaring in diameter. So, your donor will appear over harvested like they took 5000 grafts, even though they only took 2500. However, at this point there is nothing you can do but wait it out. Hopefully it is mostly shock loss that will recover in the upcoming months.
  21. I plan to do my 2nd procedure as a partial shave but due to this reason, I think I might just bite the bullet and shave my head. After 10 days it looks more normal like a buzz cut anyway.
