What is/was your Norwood scale? If it was say Norwood 6 then you have far more less to potentially lose than a Norwood 2/3 for example. I'm also in the same boat @Portugal in that I can't tolerate finasteride orally or topically. Topical finasteride is something you could try because many people who get side effects on oral finasteride don't get side effects on topical finasteride. What I do take is oral minoxidil and it has made a huge difference in thickening my hair and beard. All the best.

Yes the growth is very good. If the multis concern you then that's an easy fix with an elite surgeon that won't require a huge amount of grafts.

Cinik hair transplant - should I do it?
Gatsby replied to hairchr's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
If you have a good amount of hair then make sure you keep it. Bad crown work can stick out as much as bad hairline work. I would forget about ongoing treatments like expensive PRP. Stick to FDA approved finasteride and minoxidil or off label oral minoxidil by a dermatologist. You only get one chance. Do lots of research on patient results as @Al - formerly BeHappy says. I would be focused on results first, price second (if at all) and not geography. All the best. -

Dr Pitella impossible hair transplant

Dr Pittella showed me the graft breakdown last night (without the patient’s name). It’s pretty much all beard grafts and it is impressive! Over 11k of beard!!!! -
Dr Pitella impossible hair transplant

One problem I have noticed with Norwood 7 patients who go to Norwood 7 surgeons is that a strong proportion of these patients (like myself) have already had previous surgery/ies. When I see that a Norwood 7 patient shows no sign of recipient growth from these surgeries I worry a little bit on the gigs session outcome. Even when I had the punch graft plugs, as much as I hated it, every single one of them grew. When previous surgey doesn’t grow I think having a scalp biopsy to rule out other factors is a good investment before undertaking a gigga session. -
It's starting to kick in now. Compare this to your three month update. Slow and steady wins the race granted the patience can feel like the clock has stopped. All the best!

Well two years ago I was a Norwood 7 and zero coverage. I was just elated to have some hair again after more than three decades. On the plane back I was spraying my grafts every hour in the middle isle. I got to go for a pee and started talking to one of the air stewards. He noticed the blue medical cap I was wearing and asked me about my transplant. It turned out that he was on finasteride! After a bit of chatting about my long story he ended up bumping me up into first class! You will be surprised how happy people can be for you.

Looking at your pictures and reading your post I think it's possible that the OM may have induced a shed. You need to be on these medications for a year really. Even if you feel your hair has not improved then if your hair is no worse then they are doing their job. I honestly feel that you should save your money and not have surgery now. I mean you are about on par with a hair transplant result for someone else. Plus your hair looks 'natural' which is the goal for a successful hair transplant. You are already there my friend. All the best!

Have a look at patient results posted here on the forum. I think they are comparable. All the best.

If you are staying a while in India then a popular path is Delhi, Varanasi then Agra (see the Taj Mahal). People do this in one long day but it really deserves a few days to a week to take it all in.

@chrisu I am about 19 days post op on my third hair transplant. I don't even think of it in all honesty. And the reality is if you're not thinking of it then others won't be thinking about it. Being a hair transplant candidate is as much psychological as it is surgical.

Hair transplant in Delhi, India
Gatsby replied to Rajeev Kumar's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
@Rajeev Kumar I personally wouldn't recommend Dr Bhatti. I've met him and he seems a lovely guy. However I have also met several of his ex patients and the work is in need of repair. Look at Eugenix or other doctors. Travel overseas if you have to if it means finding the right doctor for yourself. All the best! -
Well remember that Afro hair will give a better illusion of coverage than straight hair which means you could cover the same area with less grafts. Also Afro body hair would be a better donor match to Afro scalp hair also if required. Just do plenty of research and stick with the surgeons who do great work in Norwood 7 cases. Wishing you all the best. 👊

HLC ANKARA 3580 Grafts for hairline and middle section
Gatsby replied to FaganBecker's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Every surgeon has a result that’s no perfect. If you are concerned about the doubles then it’s a very common procedure to remedy with an elite surgeon. Conversely if it doesn’t bother you then leave it. Ultimately it how you feel about it. No one else. -
HLC ANKARA 3580 Grafts for hairline and middle section
Gatsby replied to FaganBecker's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I said in the last photo it looks good. The other photos highlighted what I said about the doubles in the hairline. Also I stand by not recommending that you go back to them for a free touch up (which is a good show of faith in their work). Because if they can get the hairline so badly wrong performing your surgery, what guarantee will you have that they have the higher necessary skills to repair it? All the best with whatever way you decide going forward. 🙏 -
Dr Somesh | Eugenix Delhi | 2500-2700 Grafts | March 2024

Looks good. They/you will fine tune the design once you are there. Wishing you all the best and enjoy the food! 😋 👊🏻 -
You may be able to just put it in your main luggage. 100mls is the maximum you can carry with you on board a flight here. 👍

HLC ANKARA 3580 Grafts for hairline and middle section
Gatsby replied to FaganBecker's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
This last phot looks good. Your previous photo shows doubles in the frontal hairline and a lack of micro irregularities. I would not recommend going back to the same doctor/clinic in my opinion as this is the first tennant of surgery rules that has been broken in creating a natural hairline. -
Of note if you see a GP here get a referral to a dermatologist. Oral minoxidil brand name Loniten made by Pfizer comes in 100 x 10mg tablets for $30 AUD. I am on 5mg a day so I break the tablet in half and $30 lasts me two hundred days. If you were to take 2.5mg per day then that $30 works out to four hundred days! All the best. Feel free to ask any questions. All the best!
