  1. Dr Mani is an excellent surgeon and this is reflected in your results @N.S.
  2. I would choose Dr Pittella. I had to wait two years due to Covid alone for my surgery and I was already 53 back then. Remember this is for the rest of your life. All the best with whom you choose.
  3. @kiwidan that’s a massive difference and great result. 💯👊🏻
  4. @LocksLoomer cancel your appointment with Gro Clinic. They are a hair chain here in Australia. I’m not trying to be negative but you will regret it. Keep looking at ethical surgeons and consistent quality results.
  5. Dr Woods has a personality that is an acquired one. His son has taken over and I’ve never seen any results.
  6. If you’re going to India then Eugenix should be on your radar. Here in Australia there is literally no one that can be recommended.
  7. Hahaha. Thanks Addy for the kind words. Funny thing I’ve just returned from seeing a great British cover band of ‘The Smiths.’ I’ll just wait out the growing phase and keep growing it now and see how it looks in 6 months. Depending on how thin the donor is I want to grow my hair long again (and front a real band)!
  8. You can still root for me. Lol! 😂 5mg oral minoxidil every day. Nizoral 2% 2-3 times a week.
  9. I left that to Caitlin James who is an expert in SMP. If the SMP fades away it won't worry me. I mean I could always have it done again but more tailored to my hair transplant and for density. But I can't see that happening. Also this will be my last surgery. If the results are not great or the donor looks affected I can live with that. I'll never forget where I came from and what Dr Sethi did for me. I remind myself everyday by practicing gratitude for what I do have (and not on things that I don't or things I can't change).
  10. I would really have to shave the back scalp donor right down with a blade to know how much better the scar is. But I'm in too much of a hurry for everything to grow ASAP! 🤞😂
  11. The SMP made much more of an impact I think. For one it changes the color of the white scar tissue. The grafts now in there are more of a bonus but also do make a big difference. I won't be having anymore SMP.
  12. Before and after of old plug scars and repair scars in the rear donor.
  13. Ten days post op today. All scabs have gone. I'll update this in three months. ☺️
  14. You do seem to have a lot of miniaturized hair in the crown and vertex. I'm not a doctor but taking finasteride and minoxidil could help rejuvenate these follicles.
  15. No I had to discontinue due to sexual side effects.
  16. The only thing that I don't like about finasteride is that it gave me sexual side effects so therefore I can't take it!!!
  17. Hey @azza786. I had tiny red dots on my chest (roughly 900 of them). After about six months they faded and disappeared completely. All the best.
  18. You’re pretty much right with what you have ticked off. Bring a power point adapter so you can charge your phone there. You can take some INR but it’s not mandatory. Buy a SIM card from the Delhi airport unless your phone is fine to use overseas. I had a plastic folder with plastic sheets with me. In each one I put my printed out visa, my airplane ticket, international Covid vaccination print out, copy of insurance, etc. You don’t need to do this but I just like to have everything in one place to be organized. Make sure you continue to spray your grafts on the flight back as directed. All the best!
  19. No one complained about finasteride (in much higher daily doses) about taking the drug for benign prostate hyperplasia before finasteride was used for hair loss that I’m aware of? No post finasteride syndrome group was created in all the years pre low dose finasteride to treat MPB that I’m aware of either. Though I do believe that some people do experience this. No one is forcing you to take Finasteride, Minoxidil, etc. Going bald is not a disease. This forum just provides information for those that are not aware of it. At all times you should be consulting with your doctor/dermatologist about anything you choice to take.
  20. You've made a huge investment in both time and money in your hair. So it makes sense to look after your hair and prevent DHT from affecting it. The so called donor are of the scalp is not DHT proof. It's DHT resistant. It will still be affected as you age. Look at the photo of hair of someone in their 20's. Then look at the same person in their 50's, 60's and beyond. It's always thinner even if that person has not gone bald.
  21. I've asked about this DHT method of FUE. I've been told that the healing of the slits works best between 24-48 hours. So when the grafts are implanted during this time they are held in better and heal better. Also it means the grafts are out of the body for the least amount of time possible which can lead to earlier growth.
  22. @carlos55 do you know how many guys wished that they had started finasteride at your age? LOTS!! Even at 5.5 months things will continue to improve up to a year. Stay on the meds!!!! 👌
  23. At only five months this is looking excellent @SaulGood. Give the finasteride a good year at least. Everything is starting to bounce back and you've still got months ahead of you. 👌
