    Hello! First of all, thank you so much! I’m excited that you are thinking about having this done for yourself - you won’t regret it! As for shave vs non-shave, I don’t think this should impact your end results in any way (or at least I can’t imagine it changing the results). I went with the shave option because I wanted the simplicity for my post-op care (and so that I could experience the feeling of a shaved head 😂). However, this might be a question better asked during your consultation either through WhatsApp or in-person! I can’t remember the name from the people on my team but they were 3 absolutely fantastic ladies! I have a picture of them, but I don’t know if that would be enough to figure out who they are haha. I’ll post it on here, though! And as was said above, I’m not sure if you get to pick your team. But hey, it’s worth a shot right? Hopefully this helps!

    Wow! I am very sorry to hear about your friend. Devastating that he wasn’t able to achieve the type of results that he wanted. Perhaps he may try another round in the future if he’s feeling up to it! And sounds exactly like my experience! It was cool to have all those little hairs less than a week after surgery, hey?

    Thanks man! I’m very impressed too! Chatted with my barber and asked him if I shouldn’t go as short and he said it’s going to look great with a nice close fade. And I totally agree with him! I agree, because we are on a forum where we see this all the time, I think we are all going to see (or imagine that we’re seeing) things in a lot more detail than the lay person! And that’s so exciting man! I will definitely be around and would be happy to help answer any questions you may have about it!

    Thanks for your insight! So I think the reason it appears like it shows is because I’ve been using a very harsh selfie light during these photos to emphasize the area. In normal lighting situations, it’s completely unrecognizable that any hair was taken from the donor area The back and sides are shaved down to a 0.5 guard (almost no guard at all), which has a pretty outstanding result, in my opinion. As for why I’m taking Saw Palmetto in conjunction with finasteride, pharmacologically speaking, there are no reported negative impacts on the body or hormone levels. I only have a bit of finasteride left and then I’ll be switching to using only Saw Palmetto and biotin to see if there are any changes Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the share! I think it’s important for people to realize the kind of great work that Dr. Cinik does! Been seeing a bunch of forums talking about how his clinic is just a hair mill and that all they want is to get as many people in and out without any regard for quality or safety. This is just not factual at this office and it’s sad to think that others should be frightened away when they too could experience great results. But, such is life, right? Glad to hear you had a great experience and I’m going to pop over and check out your forum to see how things are going on your end! How many months are you out right now?

    Thank you so much! And yes! He was fascinated and couldn’t stop staring at it and touching it 😂. I hadn’t seen my regular guy my past few haircuts because he wasn’t there when I went, so it was really fun to chat with him! He said it looks amazing and that out of the HT’s he’s seen, mine is a very fast growing one. He liked how the hairline looked natural and wasn’t too intense like others he has seen. He’s very excited to try different styles with me as it gets longer!

    Haircut update! Decided to play around with a different style and went with more of a fade on the sides! Question for those who have had a hair transplant done and have had growth from the 6 month to 1 year mark: what should I expect over the next few months? Honestly, I am already super satisfied with my hair transplant at the 5 month mark, so I am curious to know what other changes I should expect moving forward! Thanks in advance for the advice!

    Thank you! And yes, I agree! My biggest thing when I got this done was that I wanted it to look natural. Even when I had a full head of hair, I didn’t have a super low hair line haha!

    5 month update! I am going for a haircut tomorrow, but I figured I might as well post a photo to show how my hair is growing in after a month without a haircut (will post others tomorrow after the haircut). Still super happy and stoked on it and have received many compliments from friends, family, and even some of my patients who I haven’t seen for awhile. Self-esteem and self-confidence is super high and I’m excited to see how things continue to grow and thicken! During the early stages, I had occasional doubts about the hairline design and felt as though it was a bit high. But seeing it grow in now, I’m super happy as it looks very natural and fitting for my head and face shape! Now to decide how I want to style my hair in the future as it continues to grow!
