It's been exactly 180 days (6 months) since my procedure. Got a fresh haircut this morning, and I'm super pleased with how things have turned out thus far. If this was my final result, I would be satisfied. There are a few areas that haven't reached maximum density and could be stronger, but I remain optimistic that these areas will fill in by month 9.
Have included some outdoor shots in direct sunlight also.
My care regimen remains the same. Honestly, I can't tell if the minoxidil is helping all that much because I still feel like I'm losing hair on my crown. Given my family history, the best I can hope for is mitigation. Perhaps I'll return to Eugenix at the 1 year mark for a quick hairline touchup and 500-700 grafts in the crown area. I definitely have a wee bit of hair greed now. 😁
Will continue to update every month. Hope you're all doing well!

That is a phenomenal result, one of the best on the forum I would think. That is just amazing.😍😍
If you could just maintain this hair, you should be all set.

Update- 7 Months completed today- July 22nd, 2020
Hey everyone
Hope all is well.
I am sharing my 7 month results today and even though, I am not a very patient person, this journey has somehow taught me that by being impatient nothing will change and the journey of growth will take its own time.
As you can see, the results so far are somewhat close to 65%-70% and not something I would expect but it is what it is. Mid frontal is a patchy hole right now than the rest.
I will reserve my final review for 12 month mark which will be on 22nd Dec ,2020.
I have consulted Dr Sethi and the feedback is to wait for another 2 months and to expect another 30%-35% growth during this time.
I have been very strict with my diet, exercise etc and not sure what else I can do, other than waiting. So fingers crossed as I am optimistic and I hope to achieve good results . If not in next two months , then atleast by 12 month mark.
I look forward to your feedback and any suggestions you may have.
Kind regards
Hi bud, It definitely looks better and sharper but it seems to be partly due to growing the hair behind longer. Did the doctor say why certain areas are responding slower than others. One of the consultants at Eugenix also had a slow result and did not have too much growth till the 8th month so might need to still wait.

@Zoomster, those are really good results and you seem to have really thick hair. It looks quite good even in bright light. 😀

Hope everyone’s staying safe during these troubling times. I’ve had to do some traveling and take care of some urgent work. Hope everyone’s staying safe in these troubling times. Here’re a few pictures from almost the 2 month mark. It looks like I might’ve had a little bit of shock loss near the crown and on the side donor areas, specifically on the right. I’m not too worried as this should pick back up in the coming months. I did not shed fully and some of the hair you see are the unshed hair. I also see a few new hair growing out of my scalp. It’s very few at this point but I’m fairly certain that it’s hair that didn’t e it’s before.
It feels like I might be a little ahead of schedule but will be very patient and not stress if it takes a few more months. I’m taking the hair supplements which I purchased from Eugenix and still on Finesteride on alternate days. I will be getting topical Finesteride as well to add to the regimen shortly.

@Pyrat Hello and apologies for the delayed post. Attached are the images at the 8th month mark. Due to lockdown I could not get a haircut and thus it was difficult to judge the result. Hence I had not posted any images earlier.
What are your views about the result compared to earlier images I posted at 5 months. I have also sent these images to Dr Pradeep for the feedback and I would update in forum once I get the reply.
I’m finding it hard to judge the difference in results between the 5th and 8th months but there is definitely improvement from before and after the transplant. Let’s wait and see what others on the forum think.

Its indeed a great result but I cannot compare it with mine. I am not on any medication and I believe it takes full 12 months to know if the surgery was a success. I am hopeful that it will be👍
Also my suggestion to anyone out there is to keep all the possibilities in mind. Dont get carried away by videos of amazing transformation in 4-5 months as this one. The best results become the face of marketing and one may start expecting moon and stars watching such videos.
I am a prime example of what kind of expectations to set and atleast you will not get disheartened. It takes time and longer than 12 months in some cases.
It would be a great idea for clinics to create a video with someone who is a slow grower. I do not believe that only 5% fall in this category and specially if someone is not taking medication.
However, One thing I can confirm is that Eugenix is always there when I need them and this is very very important. Dr Sethi is always there whenever I have panicked or had any questions about my growth.
Thanks for following my progress and Stay safe !!
6 month update will be posted on 22-23 June
I really think your results will still be very good but are just taking time. I was parsing through the transformation books at Eugenix while I was there and most people that were so summered there fell under the 5 to 8 or 9 month transformations. There were a few that were slower and a few that were faster. We average people are just going to be around that timeframe.
You just got to wait a little longer I think.

How are you getting on bud. How was the head wash?
I’m doing well, doing well. Just have been super busy at work the past few days and could not update this thread. I will post the 7 day update within the next 2 days. Just a little worried about the right side of the donor and some density behind the left fronto temporal area but should mostly not be an issue.
I saw your update as well and looking at Fluffhead’s amazing last month, I think your month should be sometime soon.

7th DAY UPDATE , HEADWASH AND REMOVING OF CRUSTS.
I HAVE SOAKED MY SCALP WITH SHAMPOO AND LOTS OF SUDS WITH VERY LUKE WARM WATER FOR 30 MINUTES AS INSTRUCTED BY DR.SHISHIR. I ALSO CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF PUTTING A LIGHT PLASTIC SHOWER CAP ON OVER THE SCALP TO HELP ALL THOSE SHAMPOO SUDS TO SOAK INTO THE CRUSTS ON MY RECIPENT, ALSO I ENSURED THE SUDS WENT ONTO MY DONER AREA ALSO TO CLEAN AND REFRESH IT. I AM NOW FINISHED TAKING THE MEDICATION SO I DONT HAVE TO PUT THE ANTISEPTIC SOLUTION OR ANTISEPTIC OINTMENT ON MY DONER FROM NOW ONWORDS.
AFTER 3O MINS I TOOK OFF THE SHOWER CAP AND GENTLY MASSAGED MY RECIPENT AREA ALL OVER WITH THE TIPS OF MY FINGERS FOR 5 MINUTES. THE CRUSTS HAVE REALLY COME AWAY FROM THE SCALP WITH PERSISTENCE, NOW AND AGAIN ADDING MORE SUDS TO MY RECIPENT. I THEN POUR LUKE WATER WITH A SMALL JUG OVER ALL MY RECIPENT SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN DO THE SAME RINSING THE DONER .
I THEN PUT MORE SHAMPOO SUDS ON MY RECIPENT AND DONER AND MASSAGE IN AGAIN GENTLY FOR A FEW MINUTES AND POUR LUKE WARM WATER OVER AGAIN TO REMOVE ANY MORE SMALL CRUSTS HERE AND THERE. I HAVE REMOVED ALL THE CRUSTS EXCEPT A VERY TINY AMOUNT THAT IS NORMAL ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT THAT I WONT FORCE, I WILL WAIT A FEW DAYS AND REPEAT ALL OF THE ABOVE TO REMOVE THEM THEN.
PICTURES BEFORE AND AFTER HEAD WASH.
YES I KNOW THE ONE WITH THE SHOWER CAP IS RIDICULOUS AND EMBARRASSING, HOWEVER IT MIGHT HELP SOMEBODY OUT THERE , TO REMOVE ANY STUBBORN CRUSTS.
TOP TIPS : SOAK YOUR HEAD FOR 30 MINUTES , WEAR A SHOWER CAP, USE VERY MILD SHAMPOO LIKE JOHNSONS BABY SHAMPOO TO BE GENTLE ON THAT TENDER AND INFLAMED SCALP, AS IT HAS NO PARABENS, SULPHATES AND DYES.
I WILL UPDATE YOU VERY SOON WITH INFORMATION AND PICTURE OF SCALP AFTER THE HEAD WASH, ALSO UPDATE ON CONDITION OF SKIN UNDER THE CHIN AFTER THE BEARD EXTRACTIONS
ALL THE BEST FOR NOW.
...............PADDY.............
Will be following a lot of these tips and putting some gauze on the recipient area while soaking. Thanks again Paddy.
5 more hours and I cannot wait to wash my head.

Congratulations bud @Pyrat. Following your journey and wish you all the best.
Apologies in the delay in replying as got busy at work.
My hair is getting longer and it has definitely given a higher density illusion. Also, very very thin hair are growing in some areas which I think will get thicker. Mid frontal is a little patchy still but will see how next few months pan out. Ill be 6 months on June 22nd so will post all pictures so you can see the difference and compare with month 4 and 5 😊
Exciting days ahead for you
Thanks @Looking for HT. As long as you’re still seeing growth, you could just be like Nelson who was just a slow grower. I will look forward to your updates.
I more day of intensive care and I’m going to have to start the long waiting game.

Could be someone that’s very disgruntled with some of the recent events on the forum.

6 MONTH UPDATE
DENSITY HAS IMPROVED EVEN MORE IN THE LAST MONTH TO GREATLY ACHIEVE THAT ILLUSION OF DENSITY. I CAN SAY THAT THE TRANSPLANTED HAIR HAS MATURED FURTHER OVER THIS PERIOD ALSO.
SLOW GROWING HAIR THAT WAS IMPLANTED INTO THE HAIRLINE WILL CONTINUE TO CATCH UP ON GROWTH ON THE REST OF THE TRANSPLANTED HAIR IN THE COMING MONTHS AHEAD. THIS WILL ADD TO THE DENSITY AND FURTHER IMPROVE THE OVERALL LOOK OF NATURALNESS .
I SENT PICTURES AND SPOKE TO DR. PRADEEP AND HE SAID MY GROWTH IS VERY GOOD AND THEIR WILL BE FURTHER IMPROVEMENT AHEAD . I'M ONLY AT THE 6 MONTH MARK NOW AND I'M REALLY PLEASED WITH HOW MY HT HAS TURNED OUT TO DATE.
ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS FEEL FREE.
ALL THE BEST ,
PADDY
Looking good @paddyirishman. The density looks really good, specially in the frontal photos.
Even if it stopped right here, I think this is an excellent result but I am sure we will see even more improvement.

Updated my experience and added photos from the surgery in the first post.
Quick update with a picture as of 4 days post Op.
The donor is healing quite well at the back of the head. The sides still sting a bit and look a little worse than the back of the head. I do not think they were over harvested and it could just be that the sides are more sensitive than the back. I am starting to feel the back of my head and the numbness has reduced in that part of the donor quite significantly.
I obviously have not touched the recipient to know if it is still numb or not and will wait 7 days before trying to make than evaluation

Thanks @Abhinay Singh. I did have my surgery on the 31st and had followed the pre-surgery precautions.

Hi @Looking for HT, I hope you’re doing well. I just had my procedure at Eugenix a few days ago. How’s your growth coming along. Anything to share since the last update.

Thanks for the update @Goldwing. It looks like you have progressed a bit since the last update although we still see a couple of places where it is thin. I am sure that will start to fill in as well.
Do you think that you experienced shock loss in any of the places(crown or midscalp) and can you also comment on how you think you’re progressing.
Also, how is your donor coming along. Can you share a picture of the donor as well.

Good luck I’ll be looking forward to seeing your progress as much as I love seeing posts from all the others on here from Eugenix.
One question, can a dermatologist see if you have a thinning donor area then? How does that work?
The dermatologist used a camera attachment to take pictures all over the scalp. She then showed me the donor area which was mostly doubles with some triples and singles and showed that the hair was quite thick and normal looking. There were no empty spots.
It areas where I had lost all hair or was losing hair (thinning), you'll just see white spots (empty spots) which is basically where there was once hair but is no longer there. This could either mean the follicle is resting or is permanently gone. Also, the strands hair had a lot more singles and were narrower or wavier than the hair from the donor areas.
It is a real quick check and took less than 10 minutes for the whole process.

Oh, did you get stuck there or were you planning on staying this long anyways? Because if you got stuck that's exactly what I was fearing, and it's why I wouldn't go there for a transplant until this coronavirus stuff clears up.
I kind of expected to stay back a little longer and was prepared for it a little bit but basically did get stuck for over 2 months and counting. Luckily, I am originally from India so it's not too bad.

Long overdue update. I think my results are mostly there. I have not seen too much change in the last 3 weeks or so.
The donor which was a big concern has improved quite a bit but the right side is still a little parse. I can trim to a number 2.5 and people cannot make out that any hair was taken out.
I am quite happy with the results and they look quite good and very close to what I had wanted. A couple of areas that could’ve been better are:
1, Temples: the transplanted hair look sparse and strange looking compared to the native hair and also curl quite a bit,
2, Immediately behind the left and right corners of the hairline, there seems to be an area which Is quite thin and looks unnatural as my hair grows longer. This could’ve probably been better if a few more grafts were put in there.
I might go for a second procedure to get a touch up and fill in some areas and maybe have some put into the crown if the finesteride solution that I plan on purchasing from Eugenix when I am in Delhi (next month) does not help.
The pictures attached are immediately after drying the hair and under quite harsh lighting with the exception of the last one.
