  1. 9 Month update

Well folks it’s been a pretty stressful couple of weeks hair progress wise .

On the strength of a friends recommendation I decided to try “ Just for Men” grey reducing hair dye shampoo ..please to all members avoid at all costs ..long story short i lost a large number of grafts after my first application..could see a wet ponytail like clumb of grafts in the shower cubicle after the washing out of the shampoo ( you’ve to leave in for 2 mins ) it was almost tear inducingly stressful .

It wreaked havoc across my scalp with grafts lost in hairline and mid scalp ..

The Doc has assured me the lost grafts will grow back ..Ive been an Anagen desynchroniser with my last 2 procedures normally around 10months so I’ll be under the gun over the next couple of months ..fingers crossed all will be ok 🤞

The pics attached are with hair crème applied no fibres but probably some of that Devils product darkish hue on board .

Just haven’t the energy or headspace to write to the company and complain ..I’ve enough on my plate

  2. I have to say hair systems have come a very long way from what I can gather .

A guy I know living Ireland has ruled out a HT due to his fear of flying and has had a hair system recently..it looks absolutely fantastic..totally undetectable and non “ that’s a rug “ like ..

Each hair restoration route has their trade offs …systems have a more viable place nowadays if you ask me .

Unreal Karl! The hair style really suits you. Also  highlights a huge advantage of the FUE/BHT combo, in that these hair styles now can be rocked on high norwoods, when typically you had to wear is much longer to conceal the FUT scar.

Thanks mate ..I wouldn’t ordinarily of gone zero right up to the top of sides but like I said the barber just sheared it all off like I was a true NW 0 ..I normally leave it blended into around 3 at the higher end of sides to help camouflage some of the FUE scars ..which are very acceptable btw ..👍

    8 month update

    Hi folks

Delighted to report I’m enjoying what I believe will be my long term hairstyle into the future ..I’ve shelved the ponytail idea as the style I’m sporting now is proving so helpful in wiping out any weak areas in one sweep back motion .

I use a hair crème which is what you see here ( no fibres at all ) …I got a zero right up to the top of each side of scalp last week ..the barber didn’t speak English and just gave me the style he has wearing which I love to be honest

Ive dropped oral minoxidil due to too many heart palpitations..which I’m very frustrated about as it’s a wonder drug if you ask me .

Ive enclosed an outdoor hairline pic again just crème product ..

My eternal gratitude to everyone Involved in my restoration,Docs ,techs and indeed my esteemed forum members .

@Melvin- Moderator I want to say a huge THANK YOU to you for this valuable resource that is hairrestorationnetwork.  I did tons of research online before getting my HT, and I admit I almost wound up at a Turkish hair mill, where who the heck knows what the outcome would've been.

Then one day I was blessed to stumble upon this site.  I had never heard of Eugenix, but seeing some of their success stories on here really opened my eyes and began to give me hope.  Then I found @Zoomster's write up, a guy with very similar baldness to mine who had an absolutely insane transformation and that's honestly what made me decide to go where I did.

I found it really difficult to separate truth from hype online, especially with fake reviews on YouTube.  I realized much of the info I found previously was mainly marketing by the hair mills, with undoubtedly cherry picked cases, but I would later stumble across horror stories about that place and be so confused.

Having a site like this with real guys and gals sharing their experiences, where you can get a wealth of objective information and knowledge, plus a moderator that will call bs when he sees it to keep things honest, is just beyond invaluable 🙏

Brilllllliant result @Capelli21and no doubt will offer huge hope to others .

Your hair looks amazing when you compare it to where you started. If you want to experiment with different hair styles that's totally fine, but don't get caught up in hair greed where you never feel like you have enough or it's still not looking perfect. A hair transplant is supposed to free you from worrying about your hair, not keep you continuously worrying about it forever. For someone your age you don't really have any significant crown thinning at this point.

That’s a great perspective to have …it’s just when you’ve had no hair all your adult life it’s nice to you can take a few liberties here and there ,chuck it about a bit when you’ve gained most of it all back ..I can see myself settling back into short ,back n sides eventually…👍

Those temples & widdows peak got you looking real alpha! Loving that your going for a full on man bun, keen to see how this plays out, could be a few joining you if all turns well. Now they say crowns are a black hole for grafts, however I think it more a case that the side corridors are! All looks good mate and donor looking like it still can give out!

Cheers John ..let’s see how long I’ll last into this ponytail Journey …I’m told the growing out Stage can be just at tricky as an ugly duckling phase ( the waiting game all over again 🥲)…

On the donor ….my advice to all you guys having a procedure or just completed one try not to properly evaluate donor until at least 6 months …and if at all doable ..get on oral minoxidil…Ive had to tolerate some quite scary palpitations at night time only but I’ve clung on to its use such is the difference I feel it’s made to the overall aesthetics of the result ..1.25mg at night seems to ensure that palpitations stop .

    Hi All

Im seriously thinking of growing out a ponytail to help fully close up crown hence the couple of pics attached with hair band to give a peek as to how things might look scraped back .

Pics are 5 mins after shower with towel dry no product of any sort In hair ..just comb

one indoor pic from behind in favourable lighting to show you how the beard grafts sit naturally without product

One thing of note is I’ve stopped applying fibres over the last month .

Just kind of happened organically such is the improvements I’m seeing I’m feeling confident enough to do this ..I’ll always  have some in reserve though

    Month 14 Update

I just wanted to share some photos after a haircut around 10 days ago. Also, I am now coming up to seven months since the second sitting where I had grafts into the crown, humps and back of temples. The crown seems to improve each month too (albeit at glacial speed). Humps wise I’m really happy with Dr Sethi’s decision to implant into here, in my oppnion this has drastically improved the aesthetics of the side profiles from the first sitting results. Also, the 100 grafts behind each temples have helped improve the profiles too. I also want to highlight, how short I am getting away with on the haircuts, regularly using a 1 guard with fade cuts and very few signs of 5,800 grafts being taken. Going to give a crown a few more months too and make the call on whether to do another HT early next year to seal the deal (..and join the 10k+ graft crew).
