  1. This patient is 6 months post op. He did not have good donor density at all so we knew we weren't going to get a lot of grafts; certainly not enough to cover the top with great density. Even though we only got 2026 grafts, his transplanted hair is consistent with the density of his hair on the sides and back.
  2. This patient is one year post op with his transplant in the temporals and into the existing hair.
  3. This patient has had two transplants. The first was 2 years ago, receiving 1500 grafts in his hairline. His 2nd transplant was to thicken up the hairline and fill in a couple spots. His hairline is growing very well and continuing to thicken up. His 2nd surgery we transplanted 1620 grafts and he is currently 6months post op. I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year.
  4. Thank you all for the nice comments. He will continue to thicken up over the next few months.
  5. This patient is 9 months post op with 2164 grafts. We transplanted his hairline and blended back into his existing hair. I hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving with your families.
  6. We transplanted 2381 into the crown 2 years ago. His growth has been great. This was very thin in the crown pre-op, but it was not extremely noticeable. His crown is much thicker now.
  7. When it comes to Neosporin or Bacitracin I only reccomend it being used day 6 post op NEVER immediately after surgery. It is an option to my patients to use it or not. The reason to use it is to soften up the scabs in the recipient area and help them come off. Pts are instructed to apply the neosporin over the grafted area for 30 minutes to an hour before their shower, then use lots of shampoo and water to wash the ointment out. As far as the incision goes, I instruct patients to keep the area clean and dry during the enire week that the stitches are left in. Thanks, Dr. Alexander
  8. We transplanted 2601 grafts in the patient's hairline and went back into his existing hair. He is almost 6 months post op.
  9. This patient is 2 years post op. We transplanted 1947 grafts in his hairline going back into his existing hair.
  10. This patient had his first transplant 2 years ago. We transplanted 2738 grafts into his hairline and crown. The pictures post op with short hair are his 6 month post op photos. 2 years later, he has grown his hair out and we recently transplanted 1118 grafts into his crown.
  11. I appreciate the comments. This patient was 50 years old when we did his transplant. We also transplanted his hairline in early April 2010 with 2627 grafts.
  12. This patient received 2717 grafts in his hairline and going back into his existing hair. He is only 5 months post op, but has already made a lot of progress. We will keep you updated on his growth as he reaches his 1 year mark.
  13. This surgery was years ago, but the patient recently came in to discuss a 2nd surgery for his crown. We placed 1756 grafts in the frontal third and he is doing well. He recently got back on propecia as well.
  14. Thank you for the comments. Plunge and Spex, I appreciate your comments and support.
  15. Hair loss is mostly genetic. There has never been any studies or medical reasoning stating that cigarettes cause hair loss.
  16. We have some new videos on our website and this is one of them. Here is just a short video how I draw out my hairlines to get natural results.
  17. sundevil, Yes, we do have financing here if needed. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  18. This patient had a facelift and her sideburns were removed. She came in to transplant sideburns as well as transplant into scarring from facelift. We transplanted 2037 grafts and she is now 1 yr post op.
  19. This patient is 7 months post op with 2686 grafts. He is growing well and we will keep you updated with his progress as he gets to his 12 month follow up.
  20. This patient is 1 year post op with 1566 grafts. We made his hairline a thicker and transplanted back into his existing hairs. I know the hairstyles couldn't be more different from before to after, but I thought I would share. You can see the difference in the density of his hairline.
  21. It depends on where you are losing your hair and what your family history is like. There are a lot of factors involved. If you are losing your hair in the front you will probably be good with a transplant and not lose a ton more. If you are losing in the crown area, you will mostly likely lose more if you don't stay on Propecia. Again, family history is a big factor too. It is up to you though how long you are willing to stay on the medication.
