Have you tried finasteride and minoxidil? Your hair loss will likely progress without those

You made an excellent choice in @Parsa Mohebi, MD. Please keep the community posted.

As Melvin stated, look into topical finasteride or topical dutasteride.

Very nice results and the patient's hairline looks completely natural. Thank you for sharing

I'm not sure of any great surgeons there...I do know that @Dr Blake Bloxhamhas an office in Philadelphia. He's consistently putting out awesome results and is a highly recommended and ethical surgeon

In Chicago you have some great options, including @Dr. Raymond Konior. I know Dr. Konior has worked on some high Norwood cases

You're definitely a candidate for FUE. But an FUT would probably be better since as @JohnAC71mentioned, you can get more lifetime grafts that route. Many people are leery of the FUT linear scar. But if you go to a highly skilled surgeon, that scar is basically invisible. @Dr Blake Bloxhamdoes excellent work and his FUT scars are basically invisible. I would definitely consult with him

I do not know anything about this surgeon. However, you need to consult with @DrTBarghouthiwho is located nearby in Amman, Jordan. His results are consistently superb and he has the highest ethical standards.

That is very strange. Our body will not reject our own hair follicles.

I have never heard of this doctor. If you're considering getting a hair transplant in India, look no further than Eugenix

Drinking alcohol in moderation will not impact your hair transplant

Do you have pics you'd like to share? Are you on finasteride and minoxidil? Are you restricted to a certain location? Feel free to reach out anytime

Yes, I would have zero hesitation with Dr Bloxham to do my surgery, as I have seen his work and trust his judgement. And I may be happy with just the one surgery, but only time would tell. How do you feel about going to a place like H&W or somewhere where I could do a 2 day FUE surgery back to back days, with 5000-6000 grafts or whatever is necessary? I'm assuming there would be a year wait or so between surgeries with doing a FUT? I don't actually know so that's why I'm asking, thx.
Research has shown that you can get more grafts over time via FUT and then using FUE.

Well, Dr Bloxham just got back to me, a little different than what Dr Nadimi said, but maybe Dr Nadimi is similar in that she would just be concentrating on the frontal region also, just with only 2000 grafts. Anyways here is what Dr Bloxham said.......Based on what I see here, it looks like you would be a good candidate for surgery. It looks as if you have pretty advanced -- and diffuse -- thinning somewhat from front to back. Typically it takes two large FUT procedures for a total of 5,000 - 6,000 grafts to restore a scalp like this. Most patients can safely do around 2,500 - 3,500 in a sitting, so it sort of breaks down to one large surgery for the frontal half and one for the back. I think the best approach is starting on that frontal surgery now. We will go in, safely steal out as much as we can -- and my estimate would be around 2,500 - 3,500 but I am happy to do more if we can get it, rebuild a new hairline, densely pack the frontal scalp behind it, and then strategically work back as far through the mid-scalp as possible. The potential second procedure -- which is always optional -- would basically be just starting where we left off and finishing off the rest of the mid-scalp and crown region
Great planning by Dr. Bloxham. His work is impeccable and he is very ethical

Phenomenal results for such a small number of grafts. Thank you for sharing

You might want to try dutasteride if you didn’t respond to finasteride. Feel free to reach out

Did your hair loss at least stabilize on finasteride and minoxidil? It’s especially important for you to be on medications since you’re on testosterone replacement therapy

If I'm trying for a baby do I need to be off fin? If so how long
Not necessarily:
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.2164/jandrol.109.009381
"In summary, a 1‐mg dose of finasteride does not appear to adversely affect spermatogenesis. In addition, the level present in the ejaculate of patients taking 1 mg appears to be negligible. Thus, there does not appear to be any need to stop 1 mg of finasteride in those patients trying to conceive or in those whose partners are pregnant."
As always, talk to your doctor.
