Great results, especially with the conservative number of grafts. Thank you for sharing

I am on oral minoxidil 2.5mg daily and oral dutasteride 0.5mg every other day. My biggest regret is not getting on these meds much sooner.

I don't think it's too late for oral finasteride and oral minoxidil

I know that @DrTBarghouthihas lots of experience with Afro-hair and his work is consistently excellent. His clinic is in Amman, Jordan if I'm not mistaken

Your personal doctor would know best. What dose are you on and how often do you take it? You can take it every other day and it'll still be effective and the chances of side effects will decrease.

Unfortunately, those immunosuppressant meds can impede wound healing and cause significant scarring/fibrosis. That's likely why surgeons are hesitant on performing surgery on you

His work looks great and he's been a great asset to the hair loss community. I agree that he has earned the distinction of being recommended.

I've actually seen Dr. Gabel operate and came away thoroughly impressed. He was trained by Dr. Konior and his involvement and degree of perfection when it comes to doing all aspects of the surgery are awesome. I recommend Dr. Gabel wholeheartedly.

is this surgical negligence or is extracting hair from parts of the body that aren't the head just a lot more prone to complications?
Great question. It's a combination of the 2 factors you mentioned

+1 am curious too. I had never heard of this before. And just to be clear, lymphedema on the scalp or on the legs?
On the legs. I'm assuming the surgeons were just terrible (going in too deep, etc.) at extractions and damaged the lymphatic system

Really ? Can you mention who this was ?
Unfortunately, I can't mention who it was. I will say though that it isn't anyone recommended here from the list

Medical boards in the US don't mess around

I have heard of leg hair, arm hair, etc. being used by surgeons and lymphedema occurring as a result. One such surgeon was warned by the medical board yet continued doing so and had his medical license revoked.

What about having the vaccination just prior to the procedure?
No contraindication to that either

As others have mentioned, there is no contraindication to getting the COVID vaccine after a hair transplant

You don't want to stretch your FUT scar (neck flexion) since that can impede scar healing. You can start very light lifting after 1 month and I wouldn't resume heavy lifting until at least 3 months

I actually just observed @Parsa Mohebi, MD perform a 4,000 graft FUE case over 2 days and he has extensive excellent results with megasessions. You should consult with Dr. Mohebi

Dr. Parsa Mohebi has a ton of experience with curly hair and does consistently amazing work. He's highly recommended.
You can schedule a consult with Dr. Mohebi here:

You don't need a hair transplant. Talk to your doctor about switching to oral minoxidil. Feel free to reach out anytime
