  1. Ok that's good. What if I start taking minoxidil for the survival of the new grafts and go off if it after a year, will those hair grafts fall off?
  2. Where do you find topical dustaride in the us?
  3. Where can I get oral minoxidil?
  4. I just had a transplant and want to maximize my survival rate. So was wondering any recommendations from you guys of where to get quality ones. Thanks
  5. Will taking oral minoxidil help the survival rate of new hair grafts ?
  6. Does oral minoxidil Increase the survival rate of grafts after a surgery?
  7. I just got a transplant, so if I go on oral minoxidil during the 12-16 months growing phase, can I stop or will those transplant hairs fall off?
  8. Doctor said to take oral Minoxidil after my transplant during the growing phase. If I stop taking it after the finam growing stage, will I lose the transplant grafts?
  9. My doctor said not to touch the recipient area for 28 days and after a month, it will be ok to wash off the scabs then. You agree?
  10. These photos were taken same day post op. My doctor said it's just some bruising from the extraction but I'm just worried it might be permanent or hopefully will heal on its own. Should I apply like vitamin e oil or let it heal on its own?
  11. What about some Black dots in the donor area? Any ointment you guys recommend for me to use the diminish them?
  12. Looks great man! You're hairline design going to give you versatility, slick back, comb either direction, side part, etc 👍
  13. This doesn't look like 2000 grafts either, looks less. But I could be wrong. Looks 1500-1800
  14. Yes, i was quoted 1000 from one doctor just to do corners(no new hairline). I got quoted 2250 frim dr Mohebi(corners and slight lower hairline), and another doctor quoted 1200(corners.) This clinic from LA fue said 1200-1500 for corners plus another 600 for a lower hairline. (From left end of my forelock to right end of my forelock). 600 grafts of one small linear line seems steep
  15. It's me again, I started a thread about my situation but I want to adjust the pictures a little. I have my surgery next Monday and want to make sure I got quoted correctly. Attached is a chart of their hair grafts break down of cm2. So my doctor quoted me 1200-1500 to fill in the corners and he said that they need to lower the hairline just a tad so it can connect to my corners with the other transplanted hair. So you can see the areas I marked where the grafts will be their. But NO work to the forelock. I'll be on fin and Minoxidil to thicken that area up. So he re quoted me for 2200 hair grafts. Based on the area i drew, the quote seems a bit steep compared to other similar examples of my hair loss. I was thinking 1600-1800. What you guys think?
  16. Thanks for the response. I just saw the doctor today. He said 650 grafts for each corner so 1300 total plus a new hairline for another 700 grafts. So 2000 grafts total. This is without reinforcing my forelock. Is he over harvesting to over pay or is this a accurate estimate?
  17. What about just the corners and add a new hairline slightly lower to my existing hairline, how many grafts you think I need? Without reinforcing the forelock
  18. Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, my temporal corners are bald, so transplant in those areas is the only option. But I will look to take on fin/Minoxidil after transplant to strengthen my existing hair to delay a second transplant if needed. Whats your recommendation of the dosage of fin and Minoxidil and how often i should take them? Thanks
  19. Ok thanks. Did you get good enough density for your tranplant? Will appreciate it if you can share a photo here of private message. Thanks
  20. Thanks for the response. But If I go on finasteride before my transplant and it improves my donor hair and that those improved hair is extracted and implanted into my hairline then that means I have to take fin forever or my transplanted hair will fall since it was a by product of fin correct ?
  21. Well I had a vaccine shot back in 2012 when I was going to Costa rica, forgot which one, but it was to prevent death or illness form mosquitos. And about a year later, my hair started to fall out in chunks, including my eyelashes, beard hair. It was like shock loss. Most grew back but I have always wondered if it was due to that vaccine shot I took a year prior. I'm not sure how long vaccines stay in the body so I may be over thinking it.
  22. Hello, I have a consultation with fue hair clinic in Los Angeles next week and was wondering what are your guys opinion on how many hair grafts I should have to fill in my left and right hairline corners. I'm not looking to fill my density in zone 1 or mid hairline since I'll be on preventative care(fin/roagaine) which will hopefully thicken my existing hair and I don't want shock loss since i heard implanting hair into existing hair(especially weak hair) can cause more hair loss. So just my 2 corners, and photos are attached. Any opinion will be gladly appreciated. Thanks
  23. I'm thinning too in zone 2. I have bald area temples(corners on the hairline) so transplant is the only option but i have thinning on my mid hairline and behind it so i think i should try to salvage that area with non surgical options like microneedling in that area first and other remedies like prp or natural remedies(scalp massage, rosemary oil and supplements) and see if i can thickened that area up first. If that doesn't work, then I have no choice to risk having transplanted hair filled in with my native hairs. I have a transplant scheduled to have zone 1 and 2 filled in. But your concern got my attention. So I think I may call my surgeon and decide just to have my corners in my hairline filled in. You guys think that's smart or are we over thinking that our native hairs can be damages with transplant hair like shock loss?
