  1. First of all, congratulations for the amazing result. You will continue to see some improvement in your scalp. But please also be aware that the Anagen desynchronization shall occur inevitably. We want you not to worry when that happens. It is normal and you might feel that you are shedding again but that is okay.

It is an overwhelming joy to see your head of hair. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you sir. You result is an encouragement and a blessing to all.

From what I know in the standard FUE procedure, the grafts are extracted and then sorted into singles, doubles, etc. Once the slits are made, the particular graft (single, double, etc.) is placed according to the most optimal outcome for the illusion of density, hairline, etc. With this DHT technique, at what point is the type of graft determined, the extraction or the implantation stage?

In the DHT process, the slits are made in the beginning which gives ample amount of time for the doctors to design and determine the density, depth etc. The extraction is done simultaneously with the implantation and this is when the grafts are identified as singles, doubles, triples etc. The use of high magnification is crucial at this point to avoid missing out the telogen hair. The singles etc. for the hairline that are taken from the nape of the neck are extracted in the end. The hairline is implanted at the very end of the procedure. There is a systematic and customized approach to the procedure in each case.

    I Agre Abhinay

But still shock loss really scares me.

Especially in my case when i can hide my frontal hairline right now.

Just preparing myself mentally about this.

I know the procedure calls for a 8-12 months duration.

Just need to trust the process..

I am charged Rs 75 per graft for Dr Priyadarshini.

They have higher packages with Rs 120 going till 350/graft depending on the experience of the surgeon and involvement.

Heard Nothing but praise of Dr Priyadarshini and having met her i think I am in capable hands.

I am scheduled to do my procedure on feb 25 @Eugenix Hair Science and this really concerns me..

Loosing the non transplated hair and looking worse than before must be agonizing..

Late growth happens in a lot of cases..

Hope God gives you strength to pull out of this..🙏

We must remember that the goal is to have a full head of hair and a successful survival of the transplanted hair. The timeline may vary from person to person but that is secondary. We MUST only focus on the end result and success in survival rates.

    Month 4 Complete :

Hey guys. Hope you all are doing great.

So i have completed 4months since my surgery will posting all the pics below which i clicked today. I dont see much difference in terms of Regrowth of the hair lost due to shockloss or Growth of the transplanted hair.
The look appears a little bit fuller but i think thats because of the growth in length of existing hair.

Had a word with Dr.Arika she said that the Growth is slow but the end results would be good.
Would want all your views on it.

    Lets hope for the best.

You should not worry about the progress of the results within 4 months. The general timeline for the initial shedding phase is almost 6 months. Some patients tend to get their results faster and some a little delayed. However, at 4 months, the absence of growth or slow growth is completely normal. It will pick up the pace soon and you will have a good growth on your scalp. Please don't worry. I know it is emotionally taxing for you to have to keep patience but it will all be worth it in the end. We wish you the best.

Apperently shampoo has a best before date, its usually marked on each bottle. I have a few bottles that are probably beyond their best before date, is it harmful to use these? Could it be bad for a hair transplant?

Maybe just chuck them out and get some new ones. I'd never use any product a day after their best before dates.

I'm a 24 year old with thinning hair looking at getting hair/follicle transplants. I know there's a few different procedures out there and I feel like I'm a little out of my depth here so I thought I'd ask a few questions. For those of you who had a hair restoration procedure done, what was it, were you satisfied with the results, and has your hairline remained intact after five years.

Do you have any pictures to share with us? We can give you suggestions based on that.

  10. You can have a dense growth on your scalp using the normal amount of grafts. Considering your age, you will have a fantastic donor. The trick in achieving the illusion of a great looking density is not planting excessive number of grafts but planting the grafts intelligently. The expertise of the doctor, the planning of the procedure (in sync with what the patient wants) and immaculate execution of the procedure would give you fabulous results. Most patients look for a general coverage and are not usually bothered by having extreme density or other specifications. However, mostly in the female patients, they are very specific about the look, density and feel of the final result. Therefore, this being a COSMETIC surgery field, it is possible to give what patients desire.
