Sir, The decision of strategising the placement of the grafts for the hairline, depending upon the thickness and potential future miniaturisation affecting the donor area are taken clinically by the doctors out of their vast experience of more than 10 years of practice of only hair restoration.

According to Drs Sethi and Bansal the hairline is the “rate limiting” step of the whole procedure.

Sometimes the “thin and light” hair for the hairline is not available in the temporal area, rather available in the nape of the neck.  Sometimes the temporal area is affected by thinning or reverse thinning.

Age: 44 years

After a devastating and prohibiting experience of hair restoration, Mr Abhay Goel, remained reclusive to “hair restoration” for more than 10 years. He became timid because of the traumatic memories of his first procedure, which didn’t yield any thing on the recipient area. 
After repeated persuading episodes by his dermatologist sister, he gave another shot to it at the hands of Eugenix. And lo, the result speaks for itself.

Details of the first procedure:
Year: 2009, Hyderabad
Technique: FUT
Grafts: 4000 (as told to the patient)
Result: Very few hair had grown, not satisfactory. Hairline was placed lower down on face.
His hairline was too low on the forehead, disproportionately. Also the donor area was having a big FUT linear and wide scar. The recipient area was also scarred badly. It was very difficult to work upon the scarred area which has not grown any hair.
Problems: A lot of scarring on the hairline with very few hair grown in unaesthetic manner.

The word "corrective" is termed because we rectified what was botched. The results shall have to be awaited.

Dr Arika Bansal led the surgery and 2220 grafts were implanted. 

The index patient had come along with his friend for his hairline correction and density augmentation. He too, like his friend, had had his surgery done in Turkey.

The hairline was very sparse and unnatural.



We decided to densify his frontal zone and also plant thinner calibre grafts in the hairline to give it a more natural look.


 

We broke his hairline and planted grafts which had:

1. Thinner hair calibre,

2. Lighter pigmentation,

3. Slower growth,

4. And single follicles.  

There was no density in the hairline region. 












The loss of hair in these regions was not looking good at all.


















Now we shall have to patiently wait for the prescribed time for his growth to show up and the miraculous transformation that he shall have.

We are now waiting for his results to be witnessed after the proposed time.

The first session that was done in Turkey left him with a pluggy hairline with doubles and triples in grafts sprouting aimlessly in haphazard angles. The hairline looked bad and unnatural. 
So we gave him a corrective procedure and planted singles on his hairline to give it a softer and a more natural appearance.
