  1. With time, it is proving to be more and more effective and famous therapy.

one must get PRP especially after HT procedure in order to boost their results.

I have seen a youtubers timeline from 3 month to 4 month, amazing improvement and he said its due to PRP session he took after 3 months and at 4 month it changed everything for him

It has been wrongly thought and propagated by some people that Direct hair transplantation (DHT) is impossible to perform and those claiming to perform DHT are actually not doing simultaneous extraction and implantation. However, that's not true.

This idea was first conceived, and published by Dr Arika Bansal and Dr Pradeep Sethi.

The publication link is mentioned below:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3764754/

They have been able to demonstrate this technique through live surgery workshops at various conferences.

    1. Chandigarh CUTICON 2013

    2. Kolkata ACSICON 2015

    3. ACSI live surgery workshop in hair transplant was conducted at Eugenix in April, 2019.

They have also demonstrated to this technique to various doctors coming to Eugenix for training, fellowship programs and workshops.

Infact, Eugenix became the first centre to be accredited for training fellows by the National Dermatology Society (IADVL).

Dr Pradeep is a professor of Hair transplant surgery at DY Patil University and involved actively in research and technology development related to the field of hair transplant.

The unique idea of making the recipient sites beforehand and then doing extraction & implantation simultaneously has actually enabled them to reduce the out of body time drastically. Moreover, the unique implantation method by using implanters in pre made sites, we are able to implant in any position. This enables extraction and implantation to go on simultaneously in lateral positions (both right and left) and prone position.

Thanks for the additional input Nelson :)

Eugenix is doing some good work and I always appreciate clinical researchers who think out of the box, takes an initiative and invent a new method.

It clearly demonstrates  that these doctors are driven by what they do. They have the passion to discover new ideas and methodologies.

    Dr Konior

    hasson and wong

    Dr Rahal

    Dr Bhatti

    Dr Sethi and Dr bansal

everyone have something in common, they tweaked the process (major/minor changes) from different perspectives.

But DHI itself a new process, so KUDOS to Eugenix if they really invented DHI.

I am not going to go into a debate is DHI is great, good, average or not impressive.

what  I am saying is If Eugenix is the first clinic in the world to create DHT with choi pen technique, then they deserve recognition just for trying even. Do you know for a fact that DHT is invented by Dr Sethi and Dr bansal...... is there a global forum/certificate... not trying to question the validity of this great initiative but i am curious by nature :) i tried to research myself for weeks on DHI/DHT before i settled with traditional Dr Bhatti tweaked FUE with PRP + a stem cell solution

I am  still not sure about the exact difference between DHI and DHT lol ......

  3. Yes, I think it does. Look at majority of body builders, there was a research on them.  Creatine when mixed with protein , creates baldness :( not sure how true this is but lot of folks when they eat so healthy, spend 4 hours in the gym, no smoking, no alcohol, fitness freaks  why they loose their hair if protein/blood flow/good diet/exercise is after all supposed to provide good thick head of hair.

    Hi mate,

if it helps I tried Minox from Kirkland extra strenght and made my scalp super itchy. had to sop.

I switched to Rogaine now and it's fine, no itchiness. As far as efficency i have no idea, honestly taking minox for the last 8-10months haven't seen any difference.

    Thanks Jhonny :)

Overall rogaine seems to be a better choice then ( worth extra price)

You switched to rogaine foam or liquid ?

Were you perhaps talking about ingesting coconut oil? If so, I have not tried that either.

I was talking about regular massaging with coconut oil " every single night" . results prove its miraculous in almost all of the cases.

helps strengthening the roots, hair shaft and overall thickness. If Each hair becomes really thick, i think low # of grafts will give a much better look as compared high # of thin hairs on one's head.

thickening each single hair should be our main goal. I think coconut oil helps tremendously with that.

I will add soon to my routine but I was avoiding coconut oil until now ( 3 months ) as I never wanted it to get mixed up with minoxidil and dilute its impact.  fist 3 months, Minox is a must ( better to apply this only and no oils )

after 3 months,  i think Luke ( Cinik's success story on this forum) also applied heavy coconut oil and look at his result :)

think for Kirkland brand minox,  the combination of "Costco" (which has it's own pharmacy for it's customers), and "minoxidil

Thanks again Lennney ! this helps to solidify my decision and I am going to try Kirkland minox ( with extra strength ) :)

if its cheaper in the long run, reliable and  equally or less/more effective  then i think its a good costco product and should be on walmart shelfs too but walmart only sells rogaine.

I never knew any thing other than rogaine, also tugaine recently was introduced ( due  to darling buds clinic )

Regarding Biotin brand , let me know which one you select in the end. I am also doing some research on that.......

    Tinfal,

    Hi Lennney,

Thanks for your continued support and knowledge sharing with us. Great info indeed.

I will also finish my tinfall stock in the next 3 months

    Two questions:

Many good options for biotin out there, Biotin 1000 ug.

    • Have you made any final decision based on your own research for the next biotin brand on your table for next 1 - 5 years if you decide to continue taking it ?
    • Also, you basically said Kirkland minoxidil is better and also cheaper than Rogaine ( almost half the price).                  this is a win win situation. Not sure why rogaine is #1 sold brand then worldwide and in the US also ? I need to make a decision on buying minoxidil stock also and need to stick with one brand in the long run :( confused

Now I use the spray nozzle. Pic to show old cap and the spray nozzle.

I also like using spray instead of dropper. Its recommended to use spray for good coverage for first 6 months when grafts are growing. Once /IF you achieve density after  6 months, then dropper is better.

By the way, thanks for sharing good info about Kirkland.  As we know, Rogaine - tugaine - Kirkland are different brands/companies but 5% minox is the main component in all of them and that is mainly required for the scalp.

Do you know if Kirkland product has something else/ more than regular minox ?

Its really good prices, rogaine is almost double here in canada. But I can drive 1 hour, enter New york/Buffalo border and walmart there in USD is much better in price. Many people from toronto buys rogaine from that walmart in niagra falls NY side.

Its in my head that rogaine is # 1 :)  I think every brand is good and price wise, kirkland seems better as well.

  9. Yes, its common to see this during first few months after HT. They say its a good sign especially proving that inflammation is happening deep into your scalp as hair is actually pushed hard to " break the wall" from beneath the surface of your skin and come out.

are you using heavy minoxidil dose twice daily, rubbing nicely into your scalp for past 6 months ?

kindly post pics also for better clarity

Looking great dude! Have you tried hair fibers? I bet you look amazing with them now.

Thanks Melvin.  Took these random pics on June 14th ( there was a big meeting at work and I simply couldn't wear a cap )

This was 2 month 25th day for me where I first sprinkled some fiber in the morning :)

I only sprinkle some fiber now ( 3 months post HT ) ONLY for rarest of the rare occasions as it could create :

disturbance to my growth, stick to the hair shaft and  affect scalp pores.

Also, another reason is to keep myself honest with my growth and let natural air do its thing...

if I use too much fiber, it might not give me a true picture of my personal growth.

Yes you are ticking all the boxs to get the best type of results. Looks like its working for you .

I purchased biotin tablets today which I have never taken before also purchased aloe vera juice ( organic ) as well.  All regarded to improve enhance and to strengthen hair follicles .

    ...................Paddy............

I assume aloe vera juice to rub into scalp ( not to drink )  ?

let me know please if this juice helps with strengthening hair follicles  and i will buy too :)

HLPTORONTO how do you feel about taking minoxidil as you say it is sticky ?

I understand there is an oral form of 5mg tablet which would be easier to take, have you considered this it might be a better option?

    ............Paddy........

    Hi Paddy,
I heard about it but I think oral tablet is slightly less effective than liquid minoxidil

also, I am taking 3 different oral tablets daily - 1 mg finastride, 1 tab biotin and 1 tab mutivitamins

I work from home mostly, so little itchiness, redness, stickiness is fine as eventually after few hours, it dries out and feels/looks much better ,So overall it is manageable for me as long as it shows its effect in the next few months as I 've been very patiently applying good amount of minox daily  for past 3 months ( never missed a day )

I hope one day it pays off  :)

    but thanks for the advice.

FYI - I am planning to buy rogaine brand ( topical liquid solution 5 % )  as its north american FDA approved, worlds most famous brand of minox,  being sold as #1 product in minox market ......

right now, I am going to finish with 6 months stock of tugaine ( as purchased from Darling buds during my visit there )

Actually, if you look at the positive side , many patients ( myself included  ) uses this sticky minox left over on their hands  to also style their hair after deeply massaging on the scalp...

GREAT LOOKING RESULT SO FAR HLPTORONTO.

YOU WILL HAVE A MUCH BIGGER IMPROVMENT 3 MONTHS FROM NOW.

    ............ALL THE BEST .......

    ...................Paddy..............

    Thanks Paddy :)

Based on my research,  biggest improvement window is " 3 month - 6 month "   as compared to any other window  for most HT patients.

    whether its "  1 month -3 month "  or " 2 month - 3 month " or  " 6 month - 9 month "  or " 9 month - 15 month "

i think " 3 month - 6 month "  is the most important timeline window for any/all patients.

Simply because in this window, all of this happens:

    1.shedding is minimal now

    2. shock loss starts fading

    3.  numbness is low

    4. minoxidil and fin-astride starting to show their effect

    5. native hair gets longer thicker with implanted hairs also blending in.

after first 3 months, next 3 months are most critical for one's successful growth;  so my fingers are crossed ......

coming up behind you while you sit at work. And even when they see it, they'll likely forget it shortly after. I've been caution about the same issue at work, but with the improvements and this realization, I don't worry anymore. I've "established" a look with my coworkers. The see me a certain way, and even if they see me thinning, they'll revert back to the image of me the normally see and chock that balding look as a "nah, I probably don't remember what I saw, he definitely has hair."

I started to get more carefree at your current stage.

That is correct Lennney. I am 6 feet tall so when I walk around people, it gives the impression that I am " fine " now. coverage all around the corner ( with a of thinning in the central part ) won't look that bad when you are F2F with some one standing.

While I sit and when people come and talk to me,  a tall coworker could see it from the top which is a bit stressful for me ( hence the reason why I started using fibers few years ago , it was always central crown, mid scalp, sides thinning of frontal hairline heavy thinning and balding mid vertex where fiber was always required )

But I agree with your comments, and I should be more carefree now. :)
