  1. Yes, this is nonshaven. To provide a softer hairline, a lot of singles are required, both male and females. We we did a very little widow’s peak. That has come up very well! The patient and we the doctors are thrilled, so shared!
  2. One 42 years old celebrity socialite of Mumbai came to us for the restoration of the receding hairline with a bigger forehead. She was always aware that she has a big forehead, but never knew what can be done to that. She knew that a proper hairline would give her a better facial aesthetics. When she consulted us through her friend, who had also got a procedure done for himself, we offered her a plan wherein the hairline was supposed to be not very low, nor very up as well. She underwent the procedure. The hairline of females is altogether different than males. The shape is a semilunar type. The angle of the hair differs just after 2 cm from the midline and customising the hairline for the facial features is a bit challenging than males. However, in the index case, the results at 4 months and 6 months are highly encouraging and she is getting her female friends and her celebrity husband for the procedure! (Note: Even after 100 plus female hair restoration cases, we still believe we are improving with each case on a regular basis. Between 2010 to 2015 we have had 40 odd patients of female hair cases. Now since the last 2-3 years, we are doing almost 4-8 female cases per month. With awareness, increased cases of PCOD and lifestyle changes, the cases of female hair transplants are increasing.)
  3. In stick and place, the slits are made at the time of placing the grafts. However, we make the slits first, and the implanters unload into the slits by implanters.
  4. @Baldrick101 Thank you for the appreciation. In DHT (direct hair transplantation), the grafts enter into the body with in few minutes of extraction, so the chances of getting desiccated, infected or mechanical damage gets reduced. With the additional use of implanters, which ensure "No root touch" the challenges to the grafts during extraction and plantation is minimised. Hence, many of the grafts are not forced to the "Telogen" phase after the plantation. We have been doing this procedure since 2012, and have come very long way in this. You can google more about this technique in PUBMED and youtube. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3764754/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AUlHgvlXhM
  5. Dear @Melvin-Moderator, In the index case, the donor was great and you can see that after the procedure of 3491 graft extraction, visible aesthetics of the donor is not altered, though there must be some density reduction in counting. So, here there is no need to plant and grafts to augment the donor density. But, in cases where the donor is depleted in bad hands there is always a need to augment the density. There the number one choice is scalp hair and then the number two is beard. As you know, Beard hair has some different texture than scalp. We have done some cases where there were patchy hair losses due to excess extraction of the grafts from one area. So we could do scalp hair grafting. Where there is diffuse thinning of the total donor area due to very bad, over zealous and commercial extraction, there beard hair can be smartly planted. Also SMP would give the additional filler effect. Wr have done some grafting in big FUT scars with beard hair. I will check with Dr Arika if she has some pics on FUE donor area, which was depleted badly, and we have done beard grafting. Give me some time.
  6. Mr. Satish Menon, CEO of cricket club, Kings XI Punjab, India, is a 61 year old man who had his surgery with us on 29.9.2017. He believed that he would never be able to get a natural hairline and density. However, he proved himself wrong when he achieved his final results of the transplantation procedure with us. We restored his frontal zone and the number of grafts used were: Scalp donor - 3491 Mr. Menon was one of the patients who experienced a direct growth sans the shedding phase of the transplanted follicles. Within three months he had already had his first haircut when he visited us for a follow up. It is not unusual for the patients to achieve a direct growth when they undergo the Direct Hair Transplantation technique. Also attached are the video links to Mr. Menon's testimonials:

  9. Usually the beard grafts contain single follicles. And small punches of 0.75 to 0.80 mm are required to extract them. If one uses very sharp punches of small size then the scarring will be least. Techinically there will be always a scar whenever there is a prick. But it should not be visible to naked eyes. In our hands, we don’t get any issues in short and long term with any patient that we take for beard graft extraction.
  10. Not at all. it won’t affect the final outcome. The final outcome could have been affected if you would have been dieting and keeping nutritional checks on proteins.
