  1. Mr. Yadav was a 26 year old man with aGrade IIIA baldness. He required his hairline to be recreated and the density in the frontal zone to be augmented. The 2742 grafts that were transplanted wrere taken from the scalp donor. The results presented to you is after 1 year. He has also been precribed Finastride and minoxidil to stop any further progression of baldness on his scalp for the preservation of his pre existing hair. Scalp grafts: 2742 Singles: 236 Doubles: 1622 Triples: 654 Quadruples: 230
  2. Mr. Sharma is a hotelier who was Grade VII on the Norwood Scale of Baldness. He felt the requirement for a hair transplantation due to his very public profession. We took 4126 grafts from his scalp donor and 3666 grafts from his beard donor. We covered 3/4th of his scalp and left the crown area for the future coverage. Presented to you below is the progress after 9 months. We planned to use the singles to recreate his hairline to give it a softer look and a natural appearance. The beard hair were used in the mid scalp with a mixture of the scalp hair. We had planned to do the crown again to provide better density in a subsequent visit. That is pending. Breakdown of the grafts: Scalp: 4126 (singles: 425, rest were doubles, triples and quadruples) Beard: 3666
  3. Mr. Gupta was a Grade VA bald case. His brother had gone through a transplantation procedure with another clinic earlier. He came to us because he wanted to have the complete coverage of his scalp and most clinics had refused him the complete coverage of his scalp and cited his donor as insufficient. We took 3386 grafts from his scalp donor and 3000 grafts from his beard donor. The result presented to you is after 9 months of the procedure. He is happy with his growth and very recently he also brought along his father and his cousin brother who then went through with the procedure with us. Breakdown of the grafts: Scalp: 3386 (singles: 475, rest were doubles, triples and quadruples) Beard: 3000
  4. Mr. Kadam was a Grade VII bald case with a big forehead and washed out temple points. So he was looking extensively bald. First sitting: 6084 grafts (Scalp: 4000, singles: 310; beard: 2084) Area covered: front, mid scalp, temple During the reconstruction of his hairline, we also focused upon the recreation of the temple line and after 8 months of his procedure, he is extremely happy with the new look he got. We have focused upon the temple point with diligence to give a natural looking temple with less density, very acute angle and direction. If a temple is done well then it can take away lot of "ageing" bald look because it reduces the transverse hairless area on the forehead. But if the angle and direction is misfit then the misdirected hair on the temple would be catastrophic to the patient. So temple point needs to be done by a veteran, highly experienced surgeon. Second sitting: 2500 grafts (Scalp: 1500; beard: 1000) Area covered: Crown Total number of grafts done over two sittings: 8584 Total number of scalp grafts: 5500 Total number of beard grafts: 3084 The patient had sent the pictures of his crown after 6 months of his second sitting wherein we have planted 2500 grafts only on the crown as planned at the very beginning of his procedure. (Since the pictures were taken by the patient from his phone without proper background and illumination, it does not look very scientific but still we can appreciate the hair growth and naturalness.)
  5. The 50 year old well informed Urologist was very particular about a very natural looking hairline and a maintained fronto - temporal angle. We planned to do 5000 odd grafts over two days; close to 4000 grafts were taken from the scalp donor and 1000 grafts from the beard donor. As in all the cases where we use beard grafts, we planted the scalp hair in the front 2/3rd of the area and the posterier 1/3rd contained of a mixture of the beard and scalp hair. After 1 year, we the physicians and the patient 'Doctor' are happy with the outcome. Hairline: The hairline is kept at an appropriate height, not very up or very low. Single hair grafts were selectively and actively planted on the hairline to make it very natural. Breakdown of the grafts: Scalp: 4000 ( Single: 325; the rest were doubles, triples and quadruples) Beard: 1000
  6. This patient was a 33 year old, Grade IV Bald case. His donor was good and his family history had similar baldness. And we planned a practical hairline for him wherein his forehead is neither too small nor too big and we have also kept in mind the future of his baldness where his crown might become bald and he might require a second sitting. He was also advised to take Finasteride and Minoxidil to prevent the ongoing hair loss. The results presented here are after 1 year of his procedure and he is well maintained upon medications. Note: To minimise the requirement of the grafts during the procedure and give a better and younger (not of teens!) hairline we use a concept of "three peak" hairline. To create the peaks we need around 20-30 grafts. But these peaks give an illusion of a lower hairline and takes away a lot of baldness from the facial profile. The central peak corresponds to the midline and two lateral peaks corresponds to mid pupillary lines. The hair line abruptly runs back from the mid pupillary line to meet the temporal area and produces the fronto-temporal angle.
  7. Mr. Mishra was a 53 year old man with salt and pepper hair having Grade 7 baldness. His hair was thin in quality. He wanted a complete coverage of his total bald area. So we planned to do it in two phases. Phase 1: Number of grafts - 4980 (scalp: 3500, 320 singles and rest were multiples; beard: 1480) Area: Front and mid scalp In the first phase we did 3500 grafts from his scalp donor and rest 1480 grafts were taken from his beard area. And we also kept in mind that we have to do the crown coverage in the later stage, and also kept in mind that he would always like to keep his beard as he has. So the results that we are showing here are after 6 months of the first procedure. Phase 2: Number of grafts - 3000 (scalp: 2000; beard 1000) Area: Crown The second procedure was done and another 2000 grafts were taken from the back and 1000 grafts were taken from the beard. So a total of 3000 grafts were done. The results of the second sitting is shown here after only 4 months and we are waiting for the full blown results. Here to note that with the right kind of instrumentation and expertise, the donor areas, both the scalp and beard retain the cosmesis well and we can harvest the right amount of grafts required to give a complete coverage of Grade VII baldness with right kind of acceptable cosmetic density.
