  2. I didn’t watch the vid but if he’s saying that I think that’s utter bs. If you take finasteride at 1mg per day the half life is 6-8 hours so that means there is still .5mg of fin in your system after one half life is completed. Another 6-8 hours later there is still .25mg of fin left in your system. So after two half lives are completed, fin is still in the system at therapeutic levels. There are studies showing that doses down to .2mg still inhibit serum dht almost as much as 1mg.

secondly, 5 alpha reductase, which fin inhibits, does not build up quickly. So normal male testosterone levels really aren’t even a concern

****Melvin please delete my account And content******

Dude, obviously people on here don’t want to know process or details. Just results, I get it now. No problem ask Melvin to delete my account and other people as well ask him. I will totally be ok with it.
@lasercap (old days)gets it. Because he is one of the few who knows the details and process. So when someone gets a result they are not happy with definitely don’t go to this forum because guys like you will have a sissy fit.

Process or details? Wtf all you talk about is density and how Nader has given you 100+ grafts/cm2. If you want to talk details ok let’s go:

-what size punch was used for each of your 3 procedures?

-what’s the average micron size of your donor hairs from the occipital, parietal, and temporal regions?

-what storage solution does he use for grafts and what temperature are they kept at?

-was a smaller sized punch used for your nape hair? What size?

    -trumpet, sharp, or serrated tip?

-what rpm was the waw set at for your last two procedures?

-what kind of implanter pens does Nader use (Choi or lion)?

    -what size implanters were used?

i bet you can’t even answer one of these and you don’t even know where to start. Details? Puhlease. Log off....forever

  4. This used to be a huge topic back in the day. The debate used to go something like:

“manual is better bc there is more tactile feel for the surgeon/tech and less stress/heat on the grafts since the hand is rotating the punch handle at low speeds”

“but motorized leads to less fatigue for the surgeon/tech and leads to less out of body time since you can extract quicker”

    repeat

from the results I’ve seen, I think Melvin is correct, it’s not about the tool (unless we’re talking about artas or other crap tools like neograft) but more of the skill of the person using it.

ive seen amazing results from clinics using both

when I consulted with hasson they moved from manual over to the waw motorized system and he even showed me pics of examples of extracted grafts (waw vs strip) and the quality of the waw trumpet punch was great. Many top clinics are using the waw system nowadays

ive also seen clinics use no name Chinese punch systems like cinik and I believe dr Ferreira with great results.

Yeah, no issues not promoting anyone just the process. Good luck! I would delete my account if I could. I just realized something on these sites🤔....and no it’s not you I was pointing out the obvious that possibly  if you want and expect density maybe you should ask how many grafts are going into my head per sq cm being on that’s how they come up with density for hair in the first place. Believe what you want. This will be my last post.

    peace ✌️

this guy below who is a senior member understands. You never will.

Wtf r u doing? U totally derailed the OPs thread by spewing bs. No one here wants to talk about drawing 1cm squares in the donor for extractions. We are here to see the updates on his results. I seriously hope you delete your account cuz your posting is annoying af.

This is commonly called DRT (donor replacement therapy) where the extraction sites have new hair added.

IMHO, beard hair is the best donor for this type of treatment because beard hair is usually much coarser.

The single most fundamental challenge to DRT is the yield in regrowth...WHY?...because the healed extraction site is made up of scar tissue with little to no blood flow and usually scar tissue is thicker in its composition as compared to normal scalp tissue.

    What’s the yield typically like?

    I love dr elif.

she tested my donor zone and was so sweet and kind!

    @LonelyGraft

dr Özgür makes the hairline design.

The woman you see in the behind him, looking at the patient, is the hairline consultant.

she gives suggestions and make the math to see how many grafts the patient needs.

Is she a doctor as well? What makes her a specialist in hairline design?

@LonelyGraft after I found out about my friend also being rejected I complained to the rep because I felt responsible for having recommending Pekiner and the rep told me that they have started requesting a thricogram to any patient with suspected miniaturized hairs so they can know if they need to reject these patients before they get on a plane to Turkey.

I already told you that HLC didn’t operate on @duchaine they just said they wouldn’t have aborted his surgery and could operate on him at a later date.
Obviously you would have to wait 12 months to see HLC results on Duchaine to say for certain if Pekiner was right or wrong on rejecting him (if I had Duchaine condition I wouldn’t go to HLC either).

Why did it take 200 grafts to realize there was a problem? This makes no sense

trichogram? As far as I know trichograms are used for hair counts, not looking for miniaturization. Sounds like more bs to me. There is no doctor out there that uses this even doctors that operate on dupa patients. What does this offer vs a dermalite evaluation?

@LonelyGraft Pekiner aborts surgeries when he’s not confident he will achieve great results and I know he doesn’t charge for aborted surgeries he just charges if he implants grafts.
My friend Gonçalo had the choice to get a full refund or pay for the 200 grafts extracted and get them implanted.
He chose to get the 200 grafts (I wouldn’t have).

Pekiner’s not a option for anyone with miniaturized hair because it seems he’s not willing to risk another unhappy miniaturized hair patient like dredd77.

I knew I didn’t have miniaturized hairs so I was confident in choosing Pekiner’ because all other patients are posting great results and he does beard mega sessions.

If I had miniaturized hairs or DUPA I would never go to anyone in Turkey I would go to Dr. Lorenzo and if I hadn’t the budget for Lorenzo I would go to his colleague Bruno Ferreira.

That’s fine. I agree with all of your points but none of my questions are answered including the fishy behavior.

I read alot of feedback from forum saying Nizoral seems like causes dry scalp, and also positive feedback of using Revita. So was hoping to give it a try.

Nizoral is a drying shampoo but it has proven benefits with studies. Personally I wouldn’t use it more than twice a week (most studies require 2-3 times a week use). And use a conditioner afterwards. The 2% is more drying than the 1%. I find the 1% to be not really drying at all and just like a normal shampoo.

revita has less than 1% ketoconazole ( I believe only .2% last time I checked with the company so it’s quite low)

@LonelyGraft if you are saying that the patient that was rejected is @duchaine then you are mistaken because he was indeed rejected after a few grafts were extracted but he didn’t have a surgery at another Turkish clinic (he did consult with HLC and they did say they would operate on him at a later date).

But you are correct that his rep lacks CRM skills when confronted and asked for things he shouldn’t. Also true that Pekiner has refused a few patients with miniaturized hairs (like my friend Gonçalo that is now having his HT with Bruno Ferreira on May 29th who’s a Doctor that has more experience with DUPA and miniaturized hairs).

All this doesn’t exclude the fact the apart from 1 patient that had miniaturized hairs and ended up with subpar results,  he’s been hitting nothing but home runs doing a highly skilled doctor only surgery at a affordable price (reason why I picked him and so far so good).

I also have to say that if I have any type of surgery and the doctor tells me at the beginning of the surgery after having a closer look that he’s not confident he can achieve a good result then I would prefer to abort the surgery so I can then seek another Doctor with more experience towards my particular situation  (in the medical field doctors actually refer their patients to other Doctors that are more skilled for their particular situation and it’s nothing be ashamed of).

I dont want to start throwing names out because it's not fair.

So if HLC agreed to perform surgery on @duchaine after pekiner noticed miniaturization, and they are the ones that provided pekiner with a good amount of his training since he worked there for many years, and they are known as one of if not THE most ethical surgery centers in Turkey....why did Pekiner reject him? Seems very fishy.

Also, still doesnt answer the question of why Pekiner started surgery without thoroughly using a dermalite to look for miniaturization. Miniaturization does not require grafts to be extracted (especially in excess of 50-100) as far as I'm aware. He did this with another patient on here from china. Took out a bunch of grafts then stopped mid surgery. Never heard of a doctor doing this. On top of that, it seemed to occur more often after @dredd77 posted his results. Then pekiners rep came in on a mission to try and remove the bad review. Doctors like ferreira and lorenzo strictly use a dermalite to analyze the donor to look for miniaturization and a high percentage of single grafts.

So after pekiner rejected @duchaine, who did he refer him to since he was "not confident he can achieve a good result?" Or did he just send him back home? It would also be interesting to know if he also charged him for surgery.

  12. I highly recommend you stick to what you're using (easy accesible treatments like minoxidil finasteride and nizoral shampoo). DS labs has been around for a long time but they constantly change their formulas and there was even a time where they blamed some hurricane on stopping their production which left their customers without treatments for many months. What you buy today may not even be the same formula in a year.

secondly, their stuff isnt as proven as the standard minox, fin and nizoral shampoo

  13. I dont know if there is any concrete answer to this. However, it would behoove you to disinfect with any procedure you are performing that draws blood in order to prevent an infection. Especially during these times you probably dont want to get admitted to a hospital or have to go see a doctor because of an infection. Many use alcohol but i'm not sure if thats detrimental to the roller.

In the famous indian study they used betadine to disinfect the scalp, maybe this would be good to use on the roller too? I have no idea
