The most reliable test is a biopsy, even if it leaves a small scar of 1/2 centimeter, but I recommend you also carry out tests to check your thyroid values.
What would they even be looking for in that test and what would the mechanism of action be that’s causing his skin to have a low graft yield that they can tease out by doing that test?

Nah, dermatolling isn’t a good idea IMO.
I thought I used to see it recommended on this forum

There's a very noticeable difference and tbh you should be happy. I know your previous surgeries probably made you very anxious and self conscious and disappointed but this procedure has been successful.
Yeah it has I just can only Imagine how good my hair could be if I had used all my grafts with wong

Are these taken the same time or is one before and one after your most current procedure
Pre op and 10 months

Absolutely, definitely worth it!
I’ll probably starting using rogaine foam too then. You think it’s worth also doing derma rolling?

7 month update. I think I might have gotten the most regrowth I’m going to get. I notice my hair looks visibly worse if I don’t use it for a few days. I think one week I slacked and I took a hit. Consistency is everything. All pictures taken in the same room/lighting.
Im running out of my minoxidil, so I need another script, time to visit Dr. Pan.
Do you think you’re getting extra improvement by also using minoxidil in addition to xyon and that it is worth the extra hassle?
-
I also plan to probably do a bit of micropigmentation in the future to help improve the appearance of density in sunlight too
-
Yeah I just wanna reinforce those corners a bit and then save the rest of my grafts for my crown area which is thinning from the back
-
Wong said if I wanted to reinforce the corners and crown to book for 600 grafts and then decide actual amount at surgery time. But im guessing we’d do a bit more than that.
I may do that November 2024, 2 years after when this surgery was performed.
-
I also did get grafts in the crown though too

Well the crown and midscalp has improved what else could it be?
Right I mean I wonder what the difference would be if I had been doing daily

Hey man, there definitely looks to be an improvement with the photos you posted. Hang in there 😎
My concern is the hair loss and regression from the perm solution is permanent.
wong is sending me some exosomes to test out to hopefully get the hairs that fell out growing again

Nothing at all
If you say it is nothing at all (it looks like the second photo on the right in my progress collage on an earlier page which was at 5.5 months, actually slightly worse) then you are saying there was no progress at all for me between then 5.5 months and 8.5 months, which is still a bad thing
the photos in this from top to bottom are preop, 5.5 months, 6.5 months, 8.5 months.
There is clear improvement from 5.5-6.5 months but then at 8.5 months you can see a clear regression in my corner at the bottom due to the perm solution which was not even worth it, didn’t last long
dr wong is saying it is possible it was permanent damage but only time will talk over the next several moments.
Because of this he said he is going to send me some exosome topical solution to see if it can get it growing again and then also if that doesn’t work might have me use topical minoxidil as well to simulate blood flow to get them growing again
-
I think that difference in scalp is quite noticeable
-
This was right before I got that perm solution in the top photo and the bottom photo is now about 7 weeks or so after it stopped shedding due to breakage from the perm solution. You can see I regressed because of it. I really hope the hairs come back. Te perm solution didn’t even last long. Wasn’t worth it

Yea, went back to normal. He hasn’t gotten it done since.
Any idea how long it took for him to go back to normal? Mines still not good and the hairs probably stopped shedding about a month ago
wong said it takes about 6-8 months

No, it gets better but stay away from that crap. It's not good. My buddy has really thick, coarse hair, and he wanted it straight, but it made his hair look way thinner and gave him bald spots. You can always use a flat iron to straighten it. Way safer.
So his bald spots weren’t permanent and went back to normal?

It was literally just in my hair for like 12 minutes

Wong suggested 500 more grafts for my hairline and 500 for my crown which I will probably do November 2024
