They’re quite obviously different if you ask me

It’s 16k flat rate for brows that’s like a full transplant from Hasson and wong for only 350 grafts which is what he recommended for me and what I wanted. He does extract and place everything himself. And then a touch up procedure would be 8k.
what were the other surgeons on your short list? What is the reason you decided to stick with dr dauer and save the 16k to go to him?

I’m hoping he just charges per graft for my eyebrows. I’ll report back here tomorrow

Dr. Marc Dauer is by far the best hair restoration physician with regards to eyebrows. He has performed as many or more that any other doctor that does eyebrow transplants.I have been to his office and modified the way I perform eyebrow transplants after observing his technique. I've seen many of his patient results and they are excellent and very natural. If I needed my eyebrows transplanted that is where I would go.
Great thank you for this lead

What was his reason for not doing an eyebrow restoration procedure?
He didn’t give one he just said he doesn’t do eyebrows. He probably just never made it a part of his practice.
also from what I read online and looking at my own body hair, it says nape, back, chest, or leg hair is better for eyebrows
-
Wong said he wouldn’t do eyebrow, so we would have to find surgeons that actually offer and specialize in eyebrows

Any reputable experienced FUE surgeon can do this, a softer graft selection and the correct angulation of the grafts are the key factors.
I’m going back to wong for more reinforcement so I will ask him if he would help thicken my eyebrows a bit. Wouldn’t take many grafts to improve density and width but can have a dramatic enhancement of a male face so def worth it

I am curious about this too as I could benefit from some grafts in my eyes brows and have seen some nice results on google

Verteporfin has the potential to eradicate linear scars, and yet no face lift surgeons are testing it - strange.
Eyelid lifts often leave a noticeable linear scar, and yet no surgeon has attempted a Verteporfin eyelift yet?
And what about Verteporfin in breast reduction scars (which are extensive), or Verteporfin with breast augmentation scars?
All I am seeing is a few acne scar surgeons talking Verteporfin up (but not showing anything).
I had a blepharoplasty to fix ptosis and I don’t notice any scar. Maybe the surgeons don’t keep up with new stuff in that specific area or maybe since it’s so new and it’s the norm for other surgeons to leave scars for the same surgeries they don’t have incentive to venture out. But once a certain number of surgeons start to implement it with positive results then it would catch on due to the nature of competition

If this drug becomes a thing how long do we think from now it will become available for us to use after transplants?
-
I didn’t ask him I didn’t want to push or anything. I’m not sure if he’s paying attention to that

I emailed them about it. They never even responded. I also had a consultation with them with their Toronto rep and they seem super skeptical to do large procedures. They're very good at hairlines but I think all clinics that start making alot of money stop caring about Ambition or progression. They start making so much that they don't really focus on anything but catering to the people who pay. Maybe speaking to Hasson or Wong themselves would be better. Their Toronto rep lacked any Ambition at all for even a procedure past 1500 grafts
I asked Wong and he said he thinks it is wishful thinking

did he even read a bit into the studies though?
but i dont blame them, people like wong have a good running system, perfected their craft and are probably are millionairs. once you reach that level you tend to be saturated and less open to change and new things.
hence we really have to be thankful to mvps like dr.b who have the guts and energy to actually try out new things
I’m not sure if he has

Regeneration without scarring
Wounds in adult mammals typically heal by forming fibrotic scars. Mascharak et al. found that a specific population of skin fibroblasts (Engrailed-1 lineage–negative fibroblasts) activate expression of Engrailed-1 and turn on profibrotic cellular programs in response to local tissue mechanics in wounds (see the Perspective by Konieczny and Naik). When mechanical signaling was inhibited in these cells (using either genetic deletion or small-molecule inhibition), skin wounds in mice no longer formed scars but instead healed by regeneration, restoring skin with normal hair follicles and glands, extracellular matrix, and mechanical strength.
Science, this issue p. eaba2374; see also p. 346
Thank you I’ll take a look at those

If the drug just acts as blocking the scar forming pathway, I’m not sure off hand how that would do more than just heal the wound better as skin tissue. Wouldn’t it need like some sort of stem cell or something to regenerate a specialized hair follicle?
-
I asked Wong about the drug. He said he thinks it is wishful thinking and that once the follicle is extracted it is gone. But if it is transected and at least 2/3 of the follicles is left in the scalp after transaction it can grow back but is weaker

I hope that you spot the contradiction in your argument that everybody and their mother now wants to know about verteporfin, but that docs performing these experiments can't be bothered with giving even a short update. Not to rag on dr. Bloxham, but he recently posted a vid in which he goes on for 15 minutes about whether an HT looks good with gel. So you are saying that he has time for that, but not for an update that the whole world is supposedly waiting for? He even said after the Month 3 update that he would for future months just throw the results online. So that would require less time than the last video. You just can not convince me that he doesn't have that little time for an update that so many are supposedly waiting for but he can go on and on about how your HT looks with gel.
I think that there are some people in the know about the potential of vp, but there are still a lot of unknowns. The person who has these answers the first, has an edge and can exploit it commercially for about a year or so I think, before others catch up.
Btw, laugh at me if I turn out to be wrong, but let's be real: after dr. Barghouthi's last pics it is clear that the stuff likely works. If not, it could be an honest mistake or a scam. An honest mistake seems unlikely, you don't end up with a test area that is so much better than the control area due to some small mistake. A scam is also unlikely, dr. Barghouthi invested his own money, but makes nothing from this and puts his reputation on the line.
My mom even knows about it cuz I told her lol and she’s hoping the drug works out for me too

Has anyone talked to Hasson and wongs clinic about it?

Are you running low on grafts for more surgeries? Lol if this stuff actually regrows donor supply that’s gonna be amazing

Also I agree with Melvin your crown might be continuing to thin especially along that donor border. If you’re not I would get on dutasteride or try it out, minoxidil, and you may want to do some crown work in the future too. That would be my plan. Hw harvest homogeneously and your donor looked good before. So I think it is that your crown is starting to dip down a bit with thinning. Mines started doing that too. I put minoxidil and dutasteride back/down there as well
-
Take a pic with your head angle matching and farther away like here in this photo for easier comparison. If the head is tilted back like it seems to be in the photo you posted of your donor now it is reducing the cross sectional area of the donor we see and showing us more crown

I’ve heard using minoxidil on eyebrows and beard can make little tiny hairs turn terminal and grow thick and improve density I’ve seen before and after videos and photos. I’m trying it out in a couple patchy spots on my beard and my eyebrows to make them thicker, particularly the outer part of my eyebrows that extend beyond the eye. I’ll let update here on any improvements I see.

They are normal eyebrows. I want to enhance them and make them even more masculine, striking, thick, with better shape, more angular upper arch and positive tilt.
