  1. I must say the truth hurts from you guys lol. Now I can't help but research nordwood 7 success stories and I must say some of them give me hope. I think the best thing is to have realistic expectations. Am I looking to have full coverage from front to back and be 100% dense? No. Mature hairline that will fit me in 10 years.

I understand the approach to wait and get on meds and see how it turns out.

These 2 (especially the 2nd link) are the most recent postings that give me the most hope. I understand everyone's case is different, but I will cling on to these results :) lol

I've also seen some stellar results from Dr. Umar on high norwoods.

  2. Hi guys,

I feel like I'm inching closer to a decision to have a transplant.

Can you take a look at my pictures and recommend an approach? The first picture is directly under a harsh light. I've included a pic without the harsh lighting.

I'm eyeing H&W or Rahal right now to do a FUT to get as much covered as possible in 1 shot. I've yet to have a consultation with either yet, but will hopefully be doing so soon (on-line consultation). I believe I have average scalp laxity but thats just based off my own judgement. When I move my scalp, I would guess it moves about 1-2cm.

Question - you can clearly see how far my hair loss goes down the back of my head. Is it safe to say that's where it will stop? I'm 26 right now, and will be 27 in the fall. I'm hoping to do a strip and get coverage as much as possible.

    Thanks

  3. im considering Dr Rahal for my procedure. your first procedure seems to have been a success, even though we cant see much of the scalp, it still framed your face.

can you clarify the FUE procedure you had? are you saying he extracted 2500 grafts and only 45 could be used? damn that seems like a waste but it looks like you'll be able to finish off your journey with this one

also - that seems like a big strip to only get 2500?

  4. Yes, this is certainly an excellent point and we actually do provide this, not here on the forum, but on the HTN. The page is https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/advance-search.asp and can be accessed from the drop menu (on all pages here) by clicking on the link in the top right"Find a Great Surgeon". This is mainly by area and we also have an Advanced Search, which then takes you to the page lined above.

As to the suggestion about organizing the threads, that too is really excellent and I think Bill will have some input and provide feedback on this.

    Hope this does help.

I feel silly for not noticing the advanced search button. Thanks

  5. Hi Moderators and community.

I thought it might be a good idea to come together and put forth ideas we have for the forum.

I will start it off. Feel free to add your ideas/suggestions to the thread and please remember to keep the feedback/suggestions PG :)

    1. In the “Find A Surgeon” link, it would be nice to be able to filter by technique (FUE/FUT/Bodyhair), graft count, and other fields, rather than only by location. Also just a random question- but how often are these bios and result pages updated?

    2. There is an exclusive FUE subcategory on the forum. Maybe try a FUT only subcategory?

    3. Maybe put a section where threads are placed into the surgeons specific folder. Example: someone had a procedure by Erdogan. This thread is moved to a subcategory/folder where all the other Erdogan threads are. If someone has a procedure by Diep, that thread is moved to Dieps folder where all of his threads are. This way you can view a whole group of threads rather than using the search function which sometimes doesn’t work the best. I would love to see something like this.

    Thanks!
