huge improvement already. congrats man

It's a 50/50 guess for me. I can't tell at all.
I'll go with the top picture as FUE
-
that diffuse thinning is coming one way or another man. just plan for that. I am 26 and worse than you right now with diffuse thinning.
plan for the future and maximize donor grafts

I must say the truth hurts from you guys lol. Now I can't help but research nordwood 7 success stories and I must say some of them give me hope. I think the best thing is to have realistic expectations. Am I looking to have full coverage from front to back and be 100% dense? No. Mature hairline that will fit me in 10 years.
I understand the approach to wait and get on meds and see how it turns out.
These 2 (especially the 2nd link) are the most recent postings that give me the most hope. I understand everyone's case is different, but I will cling on to these results lol
I've also seen some stellar results from Dr. Umar on high norwoods.

Thanks for the reply Melvin. I'm not on finasteride. I used to use Rogaine religiously but didnt see much success.
I know I need to have realistic expectations, and I'm ready to have my crown be bare/lightly covered. At least until I know what the game plan is from the doctors.
I figure 1 transplant to start me off with the frontal 1/3 to mid scalp.

Hi guys,
I feel like I'm inching closer to a decision to have a transplant.
Can you take a look at my pictures and recommend an approach? The first picture is directly under a harsh light. I've included a pic without the harsh lighting.
I'm eyeing H&W or Rahal right now to do a FUT to get as much covered as possible in 1 shot. I've yet to have a consultation with either yet, but will hopefully be doing so soon (on-line consultation). I believe I have average scalp laxity but thats just based off my own judgement. When I move my scalp, I would guess it moves about 1-2cm.
Question - you can clearly see how far my hair loss goes down the back of my head. Is it safe to say that's where it will stop? I'm 26 right now, and will be 27 in the fall. I'm hoping to do a strip and get coverage as much as possible.
Thanks

im considering Dr Rahal for my procedure. your first procedure seems to have been a success, even though we cant see much of the scalp, it still framed your face.
can you clarify the FUE procedure you had? are you saying he extracted 2500 grafts and only 45 could be used? damn that seems like a waste but it looks like you'll be able to finish off your journey with this one
also - that seems like a big strip to only get 2500?
-
wow you cant even see the scar in the back at all! and it looks like his hair is relatively short. amazing job
-
I think everyone is being a little too critical here.
Are you telling me you wouldn't go to H&W because their result pics are "enhanced" because the backdrop they use is a slightly different shade and you might not get a similar result? come on people, the difference is dramatic enough to not care about the backdrop...
-
wow great result. very natural
-
I'm really impressed. this is gonna be a great result. I'm contemplating Rahal... will keep an eye on this thread.
how long would you say the scar was noticeable?
-
lord please let this be the one!!!!
I just got really depressed about my hair today after I saw a picture of myself and now I read this... come on!

Also just my 2cents but it seems like these categories do the same thing/have the same types of posts. I could see combining them into 1

is that a previous FUT scar?
-
Yes, this is certainly an excellent point and we actually do provide this, not here on the forum, but on the HTN. The page is https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/advance-search.asp and can be accessed from the drop menu (on all pages here) by clicking on the link in the top right"Find a Great Surgeon". This is mainly by area and we also have an Advanced Search, which then takes you to the page lined above.
As to the suggestion about organizing the threads, that too is really excellent and I think Bill will have some input and provide feedback on this.
Hope this does help.
I feel silly for not noticing the advanced search button. Thanks

Hi Moderators and community.
I thought it might be a good idea to come together and put forth ideas we have for the forum.
I will start it off. Feel free to add your ideas/suggestions to the thread and please remember to keep the feedback/suggestions PG
1. In the “Find A Surgeon” link, it would be nice to be able to filter by technique (FUE/FUT/Bodyhair), graft count, and other fields, rather than only by location. Also just a random question- but how often are these bios and result pages updated?
2. There is an exclusive FUE subcategory on the forum. Maybe try a FUT only subcategory?
3. Maybe put a section where threads are placed into the surgeons specific folder. Example: someone had a procedure by Erdogan. This thread is moved to a subcategory/folder where all the other Erdogan threads are. If someone has a procedure by Diep, that thread is moved to Dieps folder where all of his threads are. This way you can view a whole group of threads rather than using the search function which sometimes doesn’t work the best. I would love to see something like this.
Thanks!

looks great. thanks for sharing the update!

damn dude im jealous. this is gonna look great. you're in the fun part of it now. I remember reading your post in the second half of last year where you were researching and counting down the days...
you're gonna look great very very soon
-
Yes I get that and thats fair enough. But I mentioned J oe, thats it.
can someone give a quick summary of this "Joe" case?
I'm fairly new to the forum

Update: I've officially hit the 3 month mark. I think i'm ahead of the game because i started noticing signs of growth last week. I also added a new before pic to my album as well. The pics may not be in order but they are dated so you can follow my progress. Cheers!!
hows the donor/scar region? has the hair grown to cover it yet?
-
This is really disappointing to hear. I really looked up to your advice hsrp and to see that you've been treated this way is concerning.
Your posts always come with respect and are backed up by evidence in subsequent posts...
If this thread is deleted I know that they are really trying to brush things under the rug.
I need a less ethical HT surgeon

I will admit that first pic of your front shaved looks rough. How long after your HT's is that?
do you have any pics of it grown out?
