Why would anyone even bother looking into a place with up to a 4 year waiting time? The original consultation would be totally useless at that point. I went from a thinning crown and looking like I had a full frontal half by parting my hair on the side to NW 6 in four years. Doesn't make any sense to have a plan for your HT and then not do it until 4 years later. What happens when you plan two sessions (first one for the front and second for the crown)? Do you have to wait 4 years to get the second procedure? Ridiculous.
i doubt the consultation is at the start of the waiting list..

doesn’t seem like a typical evaluation with someone in your position. surgeons don’t usually start with the crown.. they start to rebuild the hairline and work the frontal third first, working their way to the crown for a later date. Is he a surgeon recommended by this website? i’d start with the front half of your head. probably somewhere around 3500 grafts

what are people’s thoughts on doctor diep? don’t give me the typical “he’s a great doctor and we recommended for both FUT and FUE”
his youtube is convincing but i’ve heard questionable things from the forum
-
anyone else? everyone always names the classic docs but it seems there’s no general consensus in this community. I understand there’s preferences to the artistry but come on... let’s start a debate or something here

you’re probably looking at 5000 grafts to restore the front/mid and sprinkle some in on the crown. asmed obviously a good choice.. simple lol

im trying to match the graft placement in your first post in this thread to the results you are seeing today. It looks like a full frontal band was implanted in your hairline, but you have a tuff at the front of your hairline. did that part grow...?
also it looks like you got grafts in the crown area as well. how is that looking?

yeah sorry man. that does look pretty bad... i know it’s hard to keep hearing “give it a few more months” but that’s all you can really do for now. no surgeon will touch you until 12 months. can you buzz it?

Is there a general consensus in the community of who the best FUE surgeon is? Something how Erdogan is considered one of the best, if not THEE best. Interested to hear what people have to say. I see very sporadic answers to this. A lot offer FUT and FUE, but it’s hard to call any of them FUE pros

your donor will look fine post op 2 weeks. recipient may look red/pink and noticeable after 2 weeks.

interested to hear what the forum says about your situation. I’m in a similar situation (27, class 5ish, on meds)
I bet asmed gave you the 5000graft special? You may want to think about rebuilding the frontal 3rd and seeing how that turns out. then address the crown later? idk

this is amazing. im speechless.
4000+ grafts for that hairline? i understand some were put into the midscalp and crown, but he looked good in the pre-op pics. clearly didnt have any concerns about shockloss. this is amazing and something I'm looking to get done. super thin scar and probably made it invisible with the FUE into it. crazy good

question to everyone... what is the connection between waitlist vs popularity vs results?
You would think a long waitlist would mean the doctor is highly respected and has above average results.. correct?
-
-
Dr. Diep has about a 2 month consultation wait list. I believe his FUE is about 8 month wait, and FUT is shorter... maybe 2-4 month wait?
-
this is a great result. clearly not afraid of any shockloss... i never get why some surgeons are so cautious about that.
nice work

i don’t see why you wouldn’t be a FUE candidate. You will probably get the typical 5000graft estimate from Erdogan. The tricky part with your pattern will be blending the hairline/tuff you have with the implanted hair. I’ve seen a recent post (i think by Uklad) that there was controversy over the strategy with his front tuff

1 surgery across 2 days
technically isn’t that 2 surgeries?

I wish i got on finasteride sooner. I had some aching in the beginning but that went away. I also got dizziness about a month after starting it which lasted about a week. Nothing else to report. I’m thinking about taking 1mg every other day. Can someone provide the scientific studies that this approach has the same/close enough effect compared to taking 1mg every day? Thanks

who was your surgeon? that’s a ton of triples
-
what are the details of your first surgery?

any other thoughts on follicle placement?

great result. who was your surgeon? FUT?

the punch size definitely concerns me. i saw a post here where it was clearly obvious with the punch size. the kid had a fade on the side and you could easily see the circles on the side by his ears. before everyone freaks out... yes i know no transplant has 0 scarring lol
can you request doctors to not use above a certain punch size? i’ve read that asians usually require a larger punch size. what about caucasian? 1mm seems way too high
