  1. Most credible doctors will recommend FUT 1st procedure, FUT 2nd procedure and finish with FUE 3rd procedure (if necessary).
  2. Great result! Are you on any meds to maintain your existing hair? Did you experience any shock loss of existing hair in the recipient area?
  3. Sorry to hear about your experience. This is exactly the reason l have been hesitant to consider a HT outside of North America. Cheap mega sessions sound great until something like this happens. Western Europe could be an option, but trying to follow up on a problem from half way around the world does not appeal to me.
  4. Good observation. I noticed this as well.
  5. OP - your hair looks great. However, like others have said, if you are serious about keeping the hair you have then start on meds. This is especially important if you have a transplant done at such a young age.
  6. Tough to say for sure without knowing if it has always looked this way or has it gotten bigger over the last few years. If the "whorl" seems to be larger than say 2 years ago, then maybe you are experiencing male pattern baldness. In which case, you may want to speak to your doctor about topical rogain for your crown.
  7. I agree with most of this post. However, if your hair is long enough on the sides/back that a girl can run her hands through it, there's no way she would notice a scar if she didn't know to look for it. Different story with a #1 or 2 clip on the sides/back, but then there's really no hair to run hands through. More importantly, l think the biggest difference between FUE vs FUT is the yield of donor hair. Someone with a high NW, thin donor hair and contrasting skin tone/ hair color will likely benefit much more from FUT.
  8. So far everything looks good @mikenguyen. I'm not an expert, but from what I've seen in my research the work looks good and should yield great results.
  9. Did you discuss the potential of shock loss to your existing hair with the doc? Seems like you still have quite a bit of native hair to work around.
  10. Hey don174, I just came across both of your HT threads. You had some tough luck with Seagar, so l really hope HT #2 with Cotterill works out for you. You said that you met with the rep at H&W and Rahal. What didn't you like about your meetings with them? Did you get a chance to meet the doctors in person before ruling out their clinics?
  11. 40 yrs old. Currently I'm a NW4 with pretty even thinning (no completely bald spots yet). Most of my loss is in the crown, but also experiencing loss in the front hairline. I am looking to redefine my hairline (nothing too aggressive) and increase density in the front and mid scalp. I would also like to add some density to the crown, but that is low priority. I'm considering FUE with approximately 3500 grafts. Total donor is estimated at 4500 grafts. Both surgeons have given very similar plans. H&W's plan is slightly more aggressive in that they would do 3500 grafts in one session but Rahal will be split over two sessions. I still have some hair to work around, so the grafts will need to be strategically placed with skill.
  12. Hi guys, I've been considering a hair transplant for over a year now and I'm close to making a decision. I've narrowed down my top docs to Hasson (H&W) or Rahal. I have had an opportunity to meet with both in person, but I'm honestly torn on which one to choose. Both were extremely professional and I had a positive experience with both. I'm interested in some feedback from this community. Thanks in advance!
