  1. Very interesting case, please keep posting updates.
  2. Thanks for the advice louise, I know I made some really really bad judgement calls in the past and focused 100% on the implants and pratically none on the donor area. That proved to be a gigantic, costly, grave error (not even getting into it). My hair grafts looks great ( if i can get my blog link to work ) but my scar? You name a wrong a thing, I probably did it. For this last revision I'm doing everything differently and taking ALL precautions in care of my the incision area for both health and aesthetics reasons. wish me luck.
  3. From what I understand, yes FUEs can be done on black men. I might be leaning towards FUEs myself.
  4. I've been under the knife 3 times and have never been on meds. I might give it a try pretty soon though.
  5. I can deal with everything you've mentioned except the sleeping part. Finding the right position is a nightmare. Vicodin? in 3 procedures, 2 with Dr lindsey, Ive taken a total of 3 or 4 Vicodins. My last HT was 4 days ago and Im sitting at work with stitches in my head typing this. I think its all about the person. Now root canals... and I've had plenty of those including a root canal repair and two implants, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I walk into a dentist office with white knuckles ready to fight. Everyones different. Hang in there dude. Hope you have a quick recovery.
  6. Yep never saw the strip my first time around, when I saw the second it spooked me out, but I was on valium so it didn't bother me that much. My last one 4 days ago I had nothing in my system but coffee and of course local. It was a different experience during and when I saw the pictures.
  7. I've had 3 sessions so far and everytime its the Dr that cuts the strips and makes the holes and the techs seperate and place the hairs.
  8. Thehairupthere, I noticed I have a bunch of hair like one inch wide totally stuck perpendicular across the scar. Should I gently try to pull it or just leave it alone? Also whats the best sleeping position?. I have serious concerns about sleeping on my back. On the side I feel the stitches poking into my skin.
  9. Hello all After my second HT I noticed my donor scar was getting a little wide. This was probably due to my physiology, lack of care and original scar placement. My first HT placed my scar alittle low I believe. Either way I just had Dr. Lindsey in VA do a scar revision. My question to all you fine folks are some tips on how to keep this one from widening as well. My procedure was done 4 days ago and of course I still have the sutures. Thanks
  10. Megatron I know what you mean by more density, but dude you looking pretty good.
  11. Bill I did have photos and a link on two different post introducing myself and my situation with a total of at least 300 views, not including the blogs which I'll copy and paste here: " Your site has been seen 533 times. " But no worries. Like I wrote above I wish nothing but good luck to everyone. Take care
  12. My first HT I actually used part of my student loan to pay for the procedure - living allowance. The second, all cash. So my savings took a big hit - 10 thousand. Although, some or most might find it strange, my biggest sacrafice is my body(temple). For some reason I find a scalpel going across my flesh a violation of some kind. Especially if its voluntary. A good result is my award though, and its worth it.
  13. Great results RRVG. Very natural hairline. I'm surpirsed you achieved this density with 2665 grafts. Probably due to high yield percentage and thick hair - and a good doctor of course.
  14. Good advice danny, The only one I'm not following right now is the proscar. Tried propecia about 5 years, my labido got hammered. I'm thinking of giving it another try.
  15. Dr. Glenn. At the 13 week point, could there still be growth not visible to the eye, another words still under the skin?
  16. RRVG not sure if I missed it somewhere above, but how many grafts did you do?
  17. cole, just out of curiosity what did Dr. Siporin recommend as far as number of grafts and the hairline?
  18. Megatron, thats a good question. Although the rest of his hair looks so dense. Either way I guess going on meds might not be a bad idea.
