  1. ummm, well I am biased. I would go rahal not just because I had a surgery with him, but because his results are amazing, consistent and have thought put into the hairline. I have not really seen amazing results or even consistently good results from Jones. I am going to assume you are from Toronto, correct? I am aswell, but almost went with another doc. Its worth the travel out of town... if that is the case again. anyway, thats my 2 cents, good luck
  2. Do you shave with a beard trimmer or shave against the grain without a lap with the grain? same happens to me, somehow I ended up with a similar line in my stache (lack of stache) and also have tiny holes in my stubble. wait 3 months, then worry if it hasnt come back. or just grow a narly beard and you wont even notice.
  3. Hey everyone, as the title says im about 2.5 years post op... maybe more and 7 months ago i was putting aside the funds for a second HT, just waiting for a little more thinning just to I would not stress over shock loss and I would just know the area is done. My transplanted area still looks awesome and I know eventually Ill need more work done, but the anxiety of hairloss has calmed significantly. Well things are looking way better than they ever had so Im going to give some really big advice. 1. proscar- the key is that I think 1.25 MG of finasteride is more effective than 1 MG, so attempt to discuss this with your doctor, as perscribing finasteride to deal with hairloss is legal, as for the perscription to warrant 1.25 MG. I do not put this through my health plan, but it does fly with the pharmacy. 2. QUIT SMOKING- since I quit the texture and quality of my hair and skin have improved insanely 3. Workout and stay in shape- This especially, when I was weight training I was loosing more, but i added cardio, and it slowed, then began P90X and it appears that there is more hair, lol. It sounds odd, but this has been my observation. 4. the only supplement I take is whey protein isolate, no junk in it or testosterone boosters. just clean isolate. eat healthy aswell, sorry if this seemes random, but I just got a haircut after 2 months and im still blown away by how strong my hair is now. Ill post pics soon time.
  4. thats awesome, congrats!. also, I am glad you can dress and look 18 again!
  5. i've kinda realized this already. to boot I have good donor hair and laxity, I wouldnt be surprised if there was another 6+ K grafts available still. the goal is to strip till no more than move onto the next best option. I guess im more at, "who has been there"? i'm happy with my HT, it still looks great but, the forelock is a freaking time bomb and ive been delaying the second HT to have it thin just a bit more so im not back at square one after shockloss and what not. proscar has done me well, im hoping there will be more advances, in the last 20 alone there has been so much, so maybe the next 20 will actually bring HM, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!. so yeah, anyonemaxed out yet?
  6. hey everyone, its been some time since I have had to post a question on a forum. As you may know, I had a relatively aggressive first HT, not a low hairline, but just a lot of grafts. I am going to need probabally another 2-2500 grafts to add to the mid front of my head so it looks even. I have descent donor, but for the sake of arguement if my hairloss goes to a NW 6 and donor is maxed out and I turn to my grizzly beard hair for donor, would it all look natural together? or should I just assume i should never work on the crown just in case.? any experience? p.s. i am on proscar for over 3 years and my ht was well over 2 years ago.
  7. pearson, for the amount of loss you had and the amount of grafts you used, this looks really amazing. and deff improvement post 9 moths
  8. I was a smoker for 9 years up until 3 weeks ago and it did not affect my HT.
  9. read this article and think "maybe I can get reperation for this crap" ...not me personally because I am happy with mine, lol http://www.irishtimes.com/news...5/1224250692845.html

  11. its called cradle cap, similar to the build up of dead skin that occurs when one has dread locks and does not wash them. wash your hair once a day.
  12. doesnt look bad dude, but for the sake of it, you may be balding. I'm in good shape aswell and started loosing at 21, so nutrition is important, but I doubt it would have an effect unless someone is malnurished. is your dad bald? do you have uncles on either side that are bald? grandparents? if so, like the majority of men, you are going bald. just in case though, go see a good dermatologist that can tell you for sure. good luck
  13. yeah, the same way you did during the growth of your HT, lol. p.s. I dig the hairline design
  14. swagger, Dr. Rahal is nowhere near as aggressive as armani. He seemed hesitant about where my hair line was even placed, and in case you didnt notice my forehead is HUGE. I consulted and paid a down payment with armani, my hair line was supposed to be much lower and use 3500, dr. rahal suggested 2500 and got 3000. he's an awesome doc man, so dont give people the wrong idea. i am also a bit bias, lol
