  1. I'm sure this question has been asked countless times, but then again each case is different. Anyhow, it is possible to begin having growth at the 4-5 week mark??? I'd say I lost about 80% of the transplanted hair at around the 3rd week mark (as expected) but am beginning to notice alot of small black hairs that seem to be forming under the surface. I'm still losing a couple of hairs from the recipient site each time I shower, and the hair that seemed to survive the shockloss appear to have started to grow. I've attached a pic showing my progress (or lack thereof =p) at this current time. My question is, is it possible for growth at such an early stage?
  2. Hi bilorayne, refer to the following link which will show you how to perform scalp exercises. They can make a significant difference in terms of how many grafts a doctor can yield in a surgery. I'm glad that I did the exercises before hand as well. http://www.hassonandwong.com/h...Post-Op+Instructions
  3. Thanks for you input maxxy. There were a few grafts that bled a little when they came out, but thankfully it wasn't too many. I think the remainder of the grafts are now secure, at least until they start the inevitably shedding Speaking of which, has there been any cases were a patient has had little shock loss in the recipient site after pre-op? From what I've read in previous posts, typically all the patients shed after the third/fourth week, but there are some rare cases where this might not lose too much?
  4. I'm in my seventh day post op, and was in the process of working away some of the crusts and build up that has formed in the recipient site, due to the use of vitamin oil. While attempting to work out these crusts, I've seemed to dislodge/pull out some hair shafts along with them. Is this normal, or did I end up permanently losing some grafts in the process? Several of the hairs appeared to have the black bulb like ending on them, whereas some others did not. Please advise. Thanks.
  5. First time poster here. I too underwent the FUT strip surgery with Dr Hasson just earlier this week. As 'JMG544' mentioned, if cost is not an issue, I'd go with the FUE method, although it seems that the strip surgery has proven to show better results. I too am concerned about the donor scar, but I don't think it will be much of an issue, based on past results of H&W patients that wear their hair short.
