  1. Congratulations man, truly awesome result. Looks like you never had ant hairloss issues, looks great.
  2. Cheers mate. I'm at 3 weeks now, just a little delayed with postings pics, I hope to catch up at the weekend.
  3. Yeah, my hairline wasn't bought forward at all. To say I was disappointed is an understatement and makes going through the ugly duckling stage right now even worse wondering what the point is. But ASMED said in my online consultation that they wouldn't bring forward my hairline and in the real life consultation as well. Its because I don't have enough donor needed for future loss further down the line. I have to take their professional advice on board despite not getting the outcome I wanted. Asmed were consistent throughout and I if I couldn't get Dr Koray to do it, I doubt many places would have. I can't fault Asmed at all. They have done the best job they could given what they had to work with my case. I would love to bring my hairline forward as I have 3200 grafts remaining but maybe thats ultimately a mistake long-term. It may be something I ask Asmed at some point in the future as it is playing on my mind if Im honest.
  4. So impressive. You are truly going to have an awesome result. Congratulations.
  5. I'll post some more daily pics tomorrow. Sorry, the angles aren't the best for sone of the photos.
  6. Day Four - I still felt quite tired from lack of sleep and as you can see from the photos the scabbing is really clear. This wasn't a nice period of time for me,
  7. Day three was pretty much the same still very red and grafts in place
  8. Day 2 post Op photos. At this point I was feeling OK, the grafts looked really dense and I couldnt get much sleep as I had to use the neck pillow.
  9. Hi Ifcfan Im in London. I felt the same way before the operation (and it doesn't sound stupid at all) but post surgery I promise that you won't find it a big deal as you are walking amongst strangers at the airport. It made me chuckle to myself on the flight home as two guys had clearly just had HTs as well so you will be in fine company. My hair looks a state at the moment with lots of redness and shedding, its only going to get worse in the next few weeks and I havent told a soul I got the HT. Would I change my mind knowing what I know now? Not a chance. My hair before needed sorting and its something I'll just have to suck up. There was a 3 month wait for me but others have got appointments sooner. From researching on this forum, ASMED appear to be one of the top clinics. They treated me very well and I'm hoping I'm another success story but time will tell,
  10. Hiya, I have progress pics on my phone i need to transfer over but having issues. i'll look to post asap. Ive just started shedding and still quite red so looking pretty awful and its only going to get worse I just pray the redness goes fast as thats whats drawing attention to me.
  11. I'll post some of the photos I took each day during the last 2 weeks tomorrow.
  12. Hi all, As mentioned in an earlier thread, I said I would upload photographs of my recent FUE procedure with Dr Koray Erdogan at ASMED in Istanbul on 24-25 April 2017. Overall a really positive experience. I'm at the 2 week stage. I ended up with 4600 grafts mainly at the front and mid scalp. I was meant to have 5000 grafts but my skin was too hard and so 400 couldn't be extracted. I have been informed I had 7800 donor hairs, so should have 3200 remaining. Day 1 Upon arrival at the airport, Asmed ensured a driver picked me up in a large car. The journey took about 45 minutes from Ataturk Airport and I found myself arriving at the clinic where I met my patient co-ordinator, a very friendly woman named Sema who quickly explained the process and put my mind at ease as she could see I was quite nervous. They did medical tests on me (eg blood sample and blood pressure) and then took photographs of my hair before surgery, the extent of my hairloss shocked me as I hadn't realised the extent of the loss. I met with Dr Erdogan and he drew a hairline for me and I asked if the hairline could be moved forward but he said the hairline he drew was what he could offer given the extent of my loss and he had to ensure I had remaining grafts for future loss. I accepted his professional advice, Dr Erdogan was friendly throughout. I then went and had my hair shaved off. I found this to be quite a nice experience but found I do not suit the shaved look! I then went for dinner with a couple of other ASMED patients which was nice and I'd recommend doing. Day 2 Got up early in the morning and was driven to ASMED clinic from the hotel. Had my head shaved again and went to surgery. This was performed by two lovely ladies and the only part of the procedure which hurt was the numbing injections but was bearable, They performed the extractions and Dr Erdogan did the incisions and the surgeons then placed the grafts back. This lasted a total of 8 hours but you have films to watch on TV or iPad. Day 3 was pretty much the same as day 2. I should mention Dr Umut who provided medication and I found to be a very personable guy who managed to hold many conversations with me when I wasn't at my most alert. Sema was so caring during the whole process too. After it was finished Asmed provide you went post-op aftercare products and advice. The first week was awful when trying to sleep because the donor area was quite sore. I still have redness but its starting to fade a little bit. i'll post some photos I took over the last two weeks as well. Any questions let me know. Overall, a great experience,
  13. Hi all - I have the photos and will start a new thread in a moment.
  14. Hi, it is going well. I just returned to London this afternoon so I will look to get my photos and details of the whole situation tduring the last couple of weeks up on the forum. I'm in a good place at the moment, in that I can now sleep most of the night and have minimal pain. Its quite itchy in the donor area and the recipient looks like it has got redder though. Its been 11 days and I don't have any doubt I made the right decision to go for this procedure. I just hope I get a good result!
  15. Coming along nicely matey!! Really see how the final result will pan out and it's looking really natural. It's just the waiting game and the worse part is over for you, it will just get better and better I'm sure Keep posting, so helpful to see a detailed timeline.
  16. I'm having this pain described right now from day 4 and today is day6 post op, the last two nights I have had an 1 hour sleep as I can't bring myself to lay on my support pillow as it's just too painful, I'd rather not sleep but can't keep avoiding sleep for much longer. It's strange how accurate others have described this. It's about a 8/10 for pain and intensifies in the evening after 8pm. I really hope this doesn't last for 30 days like some have stated. I'm hoping day 10 by the latest!
  17. Hi all, So I had the procedure 3 days ago. I'm still in Turkey so can't access my laptop to post photos and other stats until I return next week. I ended up with 4600 grafts as my skin was apparently quite tough! I was assured that it shouldn't impact on the final result. I'm having trouble sleeping at the night and there is a little soreness. Overall a great experience and everybody at Asmed are so friendly and professional. I'll start a new forum thread with op photos when I'm back from Turkey in 1.5 weeks. Keltharan- re carrying large sums of cash. I was worried about it too but I kept it inside a moneybelt and had no questions at the airport either side and Asmed take you straight to the clinic where you pay, so it honestly isn't worth worrying about Will
  18. Wow- looks really impressive mate and so soon too! Congratulations!
  19. Looking great, I'll be watching closely as you are a little Ahead of me
  20. Thanks mate. I took some the other day and just need to upload them here. How are You feeling at this point post op?
  21. I'm in a taxi on my way to the airport. A mixture of excitement and nerves going on.
  22. Looking really solid. I'm glad you are feeling confident about your hair, it must be a long time since you can feel that way. Keep growing!
