  1. Hi marek hang in there mate , im 3 weeks post op with dr demisroy and i already have shedded quite alot , im cursed with quite bad redness too which i like having a big sign on my head saying ive had a transplant, this is a tough phaze we all have to go through , keep posting your updates . bb
  2. Hi ramez in brief 1. how your body metabolizes drugs is unique to you it will affect certain receptors more in some than others therefore may have more side effects in some than others. 2. from the latest research its been reported in a small number of cases, and for those affected it can lasted for several weeks after stopping it too. dose not mention it being permanent though , but some users have apparently reported it . Its a difficult one to call as sex is very much in the mind , so if you stress about ed or performance then the fact that your stressing over it can cause it .. 3. only been on fin 3 weeks no sides yet 4.amazon sell a pill cutter with built in storage , works great for me . hope this helps bb
  3. same here just back from turkey ( 3 weeks ), check out my experience in the other threads bb
  4. wibbles theres more of his work on the german forum .alopezie.de just use google to translate. For me the choice was because 1. first and foremost only 1 patient a day , so you get all the attention from the dr and team. 2. the dr does all the hairline design, extractions , and incisions , the nurses do the implanting. 3.the comms with the clinic (muzaffer) have been faultless all the way through , always replies even now post op which is important to me . 4. the dr is very ethical in my opinion , from the posts ive read he has not operated on some patients because it was not right for them. I believe from my own experience the work done would be as good as anywhere else , with surgery there is always risk , you cannot gaurentee a good outcome in any clinic no matter who the surgeon is , he may do hsi thing right but then its down to other factors like your own genetics , healing process , hair quality etc so for me for the money he was my choice. even the top surgeons in other clinics i looked at did multiple patients with the techs doing the grafts, for me i wanted the drs experience and attention. its a hard choice when going to a forgien country you have to put trust in them and everybody has different reasons. all i can hope for now is that the (other factors ) are on my side for a good result , we will see ... bb oh considered bhatti, asmed, yaman, de reys , some other clinics were well out of my range though
  5. are you a diffuse thinner ? ok cool no sides yet so hopefully ok
  6. I tend to agree htsoon if you look at my photo my brow is quite brown where its had sun exposure but the original color of my scalp skin which you can see on the non operated crown area is really white, apart from this my skin everywhere else is darker and not sensitive , trust me to have really sensitive scalp skin , I think its going to take some time to go back to normal unfortunately I was just concerned that without the minoxidil my growth would be affected as this was recommended by my surgeon bb
  7. Hi what is your hairloss pattern , to be honest i never took fin until now , he did not insist i take it but he di recommend it . SO for future protection and because of what i have now invested into it going through this I think it deserves a shot so ill see how it goes , so far so good but i suppose its early days and i do not know if i would be getting sides after 3 weeks or not ?
  8. hi guys as the post says, I am supposed to start minoxidil today but what concerns me is it looks like im one of those with lingering redness , its fading but very slowly and it stands out quite alot. now i dont want to impede my growth , and ive never used minox before so what are your thoughts ? give it a try or hold off . I certainly dont want the redness to be any worse or prolong it , but if the minox is going to speed things up and help growth then should i use it ?
  9. hi all just an update on my experience at 21 days post op i must say im now entering the WTF stage alot of my transplanted hair has gone not sure how much , im not sure yet also if any of my native hair has gone too , but the main thing bothering me is the redness , i guess im one of those who is going to be suffering with it for months , funnily enough i dont have sensitive skin either normally but the only thing i have noticed i the skin on my scalp is very white .... since day 10 ive been using distilled witch hazel 2 twice a day and after washing my hair in the evening i put a good amount of 99.9 % organic aloe vera gel on cant really tell if its helped as its still red but i do think it might have faded a tiny bit . The redness is really what keeps me having to where a hat in public if i didnt have this i could have coped wit the hairloss bit as im in my 50s ive gotten more used to it , but with this red emblem i look like a freak. Other than that im healing fine, i think my donor at the sides may be a bit see through but the way my hair used to lie it has always been a bit like that. I just hope all this comes back its quite unnerving now every time i wash my hair i see little hairs in the sink. If this persists i might experiment wit ways to make it less noticeable options are 1.keep it clippered down so its all blended in 2. use some kind of foundation / cover . my wife has all these magic potios she uses like mineral foundation which blends the skin so i might get her to work on me , i know the risk , i must endevour to wash it off properly at night . not sure whether couvre or dermatch will help me as i dont have that much hair left? the other points are this is my first time on fin @ 1.25mg a day so far i have not noticed anything , i mean my sex drive has leveled off anyway since getting over 40 , dont get me wrong its still there but im not as driven as i was in my 20s but i think thats natural . I will see how it goes on fin. I am not sure whether i should start the minox now , doctor advised i can start from week 3 but im scared of making the redness worse or prolonging it what do you guys think ? anyway ill keep this post updated as it may help those who are considering this doctor and the journey through recovery. bb
  10. another good way is what dr demisroy told me soak in olive oil , that softens them considerably then shampoo out as normal . bb
  11. im pumped for you gman its good news for me as im coming to the worst part of mine , i have early shedding ive lost about 40% already at 15 days and noticable redness , also a large spot on a grafted area im worried about loosing the grafts from the spot ? so its great to here some good news mate its looking very promising and the donor looks good form what i can make out from the photo . bb
  12. Hi just a quick question if you have a spot in the first month's you have had a fue procedure does this mean the grafts will die? Bb
  13. i think the general consensus is clippers with a guard on not shave eg razor ... bb
  14. justlax if i press where my hairline starts its tender i would say , its different to the donor pain i had . i have the same like a darker purple line where the hairline meets the brow . hows your redness on the recipient ? mines quite noticeable its the only thing that bother me now as its quite a contrast to the colour of my forehead . looks like it will be with me for a good while. bb
  15. justlax your as paranoid as me mate , ive been shedding since day 12 , i noticed the recipient looked thinner and sure enough in the sink were some little short hairs. From what i read its normal. bb
  16. hi justlax im going throught roughly the same as you im day 15 post op , ive been using aloe vera gel organic 99% what you have is fine ive put it on donor and recipient bb
  17. No problem goofer I put loads of aloe Vera on to soften them then dipped my head in Luke warm water to soak it, then washed with the shampoo. After a good rinse I very gently dried with a soft towel, I could see that the crusts were coming off on the towel. Just be gentle Bb
  18. Hi I'm as happy as I can be with the procedure to be honest I think that they all worked hard and professionally, I personally think Dr demisroy is as good as anyone else. now it's down to the other factors eg how well you heal your own genetics for the grafts surviving etc. I don't think anyone can predict if the results going to be good or not it's fingers crossed and do as much as possible to help with healing. I had nearly all my scabs off by day 10 let them soak to soften them. Personally I'd be very surprised if you have infection it would be inflamed and sore Bb Keep in touch, also have a look at my thread
  19. Hi gooferfan, im 15 days post op with dr demisroy , it looks to me after zooming in that you have excessive crusting and in that patch the crusting has split in a line , did you have much swelling ? I was swollen next day and had to remove the headband, i had some yellowish serous fluid on my scalp from the swelling which dired and was a bugger to get off , it looks to me that i can see hairs underneath but the resolution of the photo is not that good . I wouldn't get too worked up you will get a reply from dr demisroy im sure he will mention getting rid of the scabs and crusting as they recommend getting rid of them by just after 10 days . But wait to see what he says first before you do anything, have you any pain or inflammation in that spot ? which would be a sign of infection. bb
  20. Hi heres my day 14 update all scabs are gone , ive started with aloe vera gel , and witch hazel as ive got the infamous purpley red batman logo on my head , not sure if its helping ? I think im going to be one of the unlucky ones as even though im not that fair skinned ive got quite bad redness . The other thing ive noticed to is the transplanted hairs are looking a bit thin now and i noticed some of the short hairs in the sink after washing DOH! so im also blessed with early onset of shedding Happy days ! so now ive got to work out the best plan of hiding this for the next 4 months or so  im going to try powder foundation or something along that line and keep all my hair short. on the positive side i think my donor looks ok , as yet i havnt had much shockloss from there but i suppose theres time for that and from my forelock where ive had some implants added. both photos are by the window in natural daylight. oh well early ugly ducking phaze for me , i must say the biggest thing that bothers me is the redness to me its the main thing that makes me look like ive had something done and stands out a mile , if ive got this as some do for months then its going to be tough. I will experiment with thing to see if it helps , currantly im dabbing on which hazel twice a day and then massaging aloe vera gel on the night after my hair wash. does it all look normal to you guys ? please advise if you think anything out of the ordinary, my biggest worry now is are those who have alot of redness or early shedding more prone to bad results ?
  21. I think the pimples are more of a risk right now especially if they get worse. I'd take the antibiotics if it was me. Things seem to be changing rapidly gman glad to see.
  22. Hi Kalab im using on both now but it was just the donor for the first 8 days
  23. hi here is my 10th day post op picture donor pain is now getting better , less intense over the last couple of days but still evident. most of the scabs have been removed now as per instructions, I used aloe vera gel and then olive oil on the more difficult ones to soften them up a little . as you can see there is redness , I hope this fades soon but I may be one of the unlucky ones . Still pleased at the minute as i can see the little hairs poking through and ive had no bleeding so fingers crossed all is ok. im not looking forward to the ugly duckling stage but I guess i knew i had to go through it.
  24. hi here we have a pic right after surgery and the others are of what its like after 6 days thanks as you can see the front has scabs which i will start to remove from tomorrow the donor i think looks good to say its only 6 days after 3400 bits of flesh being pulled out from there ! still sore but thats to be expected from what ive read
