  1. The see through look really seems to bother you a lot more than it bothers me. Like I said, it doesn't bother me at all because most people can't even notice it. It is easily covered up by a sprinkle of Toppik, but I don't even bother with that. Great point about the shock loss and another reason I would be careful about getting that work done.

    Hello mav23100gunther,

The see through look really does not bother me at all. I am just sympathetic towards those who suffer from it, more or less. Hair is an important thing to us men. It seems like we are competing against nature and when nature has the upper hand it makes me mad no matter the advances we have made in tech, procedures, medication, etc.

Appreciate the reply. Good luck with everything.

  2. Thanks Taurus - It's a great turnout considering where I started from. The sparse areas are not really visible unless you tower over me, which not many people do. At some point I will go for another pass to address those areas, but I need to manage my remaining donor supply of grafts, and as it currently does not bother me, I am good for now. I am also dating a really hot girl now, so it really worked for me. I have a great hairline that has made me look a decade younger, so can live with the sparseness.

    Hello mav23100gunther,

Very good to hear that. But as a correction I am not taurus. Hopefully you can cover those areas if possible. I know it can be frustrating when hair is unevenly distributed and creates a see through look in some areas of the scalp. My friend from work is in the same boat. He is frustrated that he cannot do anything about that same uneven look. His doctor said that adding hair to cover those see through areas can create risk of shock loss. So he is stuck. Good luck my friend.

Keep us posted and keep up the good work. Good luck!

  3. Hello sydaus,

The grand majority of patients suffer from shock loss so ensure that you do not make this issue bigger than it actually is. Some shock loss takes longer than others depending on the patient and circumstances. Listen to gillenator. He talks from extensive experience and is giving you valuable help. Keep taking the biotin, that is a good thing. Take it easy. Good luck!

  4. No, FUE is newer than FUT and I do not think all surgeons have mastered it fully yet. The ones with the highest yield and less donor damage are at the top of the game. There are surgeons that can put out wow FUE results but there are also surgeons that put out piss poor FUT results. Both are good, FUT is easier to do. For FUE, some docs get it, some don't, those that don't, the patients may suffer.

Id stay away from robots for sure.

Doctor extraction is key. Good luck.

    Hello sean,

I see your point. Will do my best to research the doctors offering both and see. Thank you.

  5. Hiya Milo! (Hand waiving enthusiastically). Hey man post some pics even with the low resolution camera! Better than nothing. Then we can see how ur fave doc Rahal can fix you up real nice and dense. 242 gr/cm2 is right around the corner buddy!!

    Hi Ernie,

Appreciate the reply. It is better to expose my ugly head on high res as this would give you and the rest of the guys a better handle of how you could help me.

Wow! Rahal transplants 242 grafts/cm2?? That is not good. You cannot be serious. Hope that was a typo. Thank you for the warning. Never seen that coming.

Thank you Ernie for your help. Will let you know soon about the images! Good luck!

  6. I have shortlisted to these three and opinions welcome.

I want to get it right first time

Erdogan quotes 5000 grafts at 12500 euros in 2 days

Feriduni quotes 5600 grafts at 30000 euros over two treatments

Yaman quotes 4500 grafts at 4500 euros in 3 sessions 40-45 per sq cm in front 30-35 on back

    Views welcome

These are very good and capable doctors. It is good to see you have done your homework. But worry more about their ability to meet your expectations and expertise than the amount of time they can finish plugging your head. Technique is more important than time.

  7. 1

2- FUE is great in some hands where FUT seems to be great in most hands. FUE is a delicate procedure and not everyone can nail it to a FUT level of yield.

4- i seen some patients come in throughout when i was in lounge, didnt talk to anyone, but the art, yield, and the fact he did the extractions was impressive.

If you really want, its best to see and talk to a doc in person. .

    Hello sean,

Which do you think yields the best hair overall, FUT or FUE?

  8. Here is what I know. I spent like an hour or more speaking with Dr Baubac and his consultant last year IN PERSON. I saw someone there that had work done by him and his hairline was soo natural i would not believe he had a transplant. Aside from that less grafts were used so I sensed the yield was extremely high.

    Hello sean,

Hey sean appreciate the follow up! So you saw Dr. Baubac in person. I got questions for you. Did you see other patients with good results other than the one you saw?

What do you mean by, “less grafts were used so I sensed the yield was extremely high.” I thought in order to have a high result you need more grafts not less. Please clarify.

This doctor does his own extractions and his results are incredible (esp hairlines).

The one thing that bothers me about Baubac is his exclusive focus on FUE. His consultant over the phone said that FUT was outdated. I disagree. In the past I have seen better turnout with FUT than with FUE. I could be wrong though. But then again if Baubac’s results are great with FUE you cannot argue with that.

He posts on other venues online, you may be able to ask him questions there.

Curious, why does he not post on this site? Granted, this forum is not as popular as other hair transplant forums. But it is strange that he does not post here. Perhaps you may explain?

If you like fue work of Dr Keser, Dr Lupanzula, Dr Feriduni, Dr Bisanga etc, you will probably like this doctors work.

Actually, I am a fan of Dauer, Dorin and Erdogan. I am overseas now on a project and am trying to get more info on US doctors for my next visit there. Though I do not want to give props just yet without all the convincing info first, so far Baubac looks like he is the best. Need to be confident about this statement first with enough "proof".

Hope to hear from you again!

  9. My pics are spread out in the link below. You are not going to like them as Dr Rahal did not go high density over a large area. He only focused on the frontal third so the midscalp wasn't touched and is see through. Just pointing that out as I already know what you are going to say

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181957-dr-rahal-2-245-graft-procedure-fut.html

    Hello, mav23100gunther,

I just looked at your images, appreciate the link. Hey it is a good turnout. Wondering if you will get another procedure done to add density to cover the front and top parts? It is not that I do not like it but those areas appear a bit sparse, with all due respect to you. But good enough turnout though. It would be a great result if you got another procedure in those areas.

No need to get testy about your transplant. You are doing well. Appreciate the images to your link. Good luck!

  10. The level of grafted density definitely has an impact on the visual result. And I agree, that since we are viewed mostly from the frontal view, that tends to have the highest level of priority.

    .

    Hello gillenator,

Do you believe the front part is the most stubborn part to transplant hair on? The reason I ask is due to the number of transplants I have seen where the front part is the only spot on the scalp lacking more hair relative to other parts of the head.

  11. Weren't you going to go with Dr Rahal? Why did you change your mind about him? I think Erdogan and H&W are completely different. Go with Erdogan if you want a mega-session via FUE and go with H&W if you want a megas-session via FUT. Baubac seems like a good fit for you though as he will give you the high density you are chasing.

    Hello, mav23100gunther,

Well I am overseas now and am returning to USA soon. That is why I asked for your opinion since you know more about US based surgeons than myself. I think you mistook me for someone else, I never said I was going to see Rahal.

Erdogan and H&W are good doctors. Baubac is also good but seems a bit controversial based on the fact that he transplants more than 100 grafts/cm2. Too high. Let me know if you know of anyone here who have gone to see Baubac. Would like to know their results.

You mention FUE and FUT. This is what I am confused about. As I said in another thread, I do not know which is better. I read about both approaches. What I am concerned with is follicle survival. Which is better in terms of survival after extraction?

Let me know what you think about that. Good luck.

  12. The entire reason my first hair transplant was a bust was probably because the surgeon decided it was reasonable to transplant 72FU/cm on me, so as someone who was screwed over by a dense pack, I'd say don't do it, go to a more reasonable surgeon instead and just get a small second surgery to bump the density up if you're unhappy with it.

Also adding that despite all my suspicions about the quality of my second surgery, LGBT discrimination isn't one of them. I'll probably fully explain all of my doubts at the 'final result'.

    Hello Transhair,

Thank you for your reply. I did not know that you had 72 grafts/cm2. Could you tell me the doctor was gave you 72 grafts?

It is great that you had a better experience elsewhere. I mistook you for someone else who was discriminated by a clinic for his sex orientation. Excuse the confusion.

I keep hearing good things about Baubac though. Perhaps there are patients of his on the forum who can share their experience.

Hope your second transplant turns out a winner. Good luck and let me know who was your first doctor, my friend.

  13. Stig I do not know why you hate people so much. But whatever. It does not bother me at all. It makes me happy knowing a stranger is obsessed with me. Thank you for making me the center of your world.

Hopefully you can find someone to talk to about your problems. In the meantime think positive. If you want to talk with me about whatever is bothering you in life, just pm me any time. I will be glad to help you. Have a blessed day.

  14. Let me first say that 100 - 120 FU cm2 is really is not necessary for just about anybody to attain a nice visual result. And I truly believe that the majority of honest ethical doctors would state the same.

So for any salesperson to imply that 100 - 120 FU cm2 is some kind of echelon is absurd to say the least...

    Hello gillenator,

The clinic said thats the amount of grafts they transplant for celebrities. But just to let you know, they said they usually plug 70 - 90 grafts/cm2 on average.

D.r Baubac did say on a video that 55 grafts/cm2 would create a see through look. To be very honest I am interested but concerned.

Is it fair to say that you regard this clinic as dishonest? Would you dissuade me from going there?

  15. I'm still in the process of getting educated myself so I urge you to solicit other opinions and have consults with doctors. With that being said my impression is that with modern day FUE techniques the graft survival rates are pretty comparable to FUT (assuming you're utilizing a skilled FUE practitioner).

I was initially leaning FUT but after a lot of research I've switched my focus to FUE b/c I want to be able to wear my hair quite short and I don't want to deal with Fut's extended recovery time since I am quite an active person.

    Hello jcs,

Do you now based on what you have researched if more follicles survive under FUT than those under FUE?

  16. I read about this few weeks ago. I think the article said somewhere in California, but not sure where.

Hi Sean. In another thread you mentioned that Dr. Baubac from Alvi armani was a legit doc. But could you please comment on my thread about him? I really would like your needed input. Thank you. The link is here::::
