  1. why dont you get one or two grafts taken out and see how it heals ?
  2. I wonder same thing. For once i am happy i have hairy east indian genetics. I have enough body hair to provide 20-30 K grafts. But i wonder whats the criteria for BHT and is it feasible or no ?
  3. Guys calm down lol. Thanks for your input. I am getting hairline and temples fixed next month and my crown or top (whatever the term is) is thinning but only really visible under direct light. I want it to either get better or stay that way for 5-7 years. After that ill go for another procedure and get that fixed as well. So Propecia + Rogain should be my strategy for atleast year and worst case scenario if there's no improvement than go to Dut. And i understand i should consult doctor and i'll. Cant buy anything without prescription here anyway but wanted to know what people's personal preference or experience is with these drugs.
  4. Hi everyone. Apologies beforehand i know i should google but the little time i spent on researching confused me even more. My question is what's difference between Minoxidil, Propecia, Finasteride and Rogaine. And whats the use of each. I have thinning hair in scalp, i am going for HT next month for receding hairline but crown and top are thinning and wondering whats best solution to slow it as i am planning another HT down the road in 5-7 years. Thanks
  5. I am in similar position as you. And i have already booked my op date next month. I personally want my hairline back and after the procedure will start taking fin. And then down the road 5-7 years get another HT for crown . I respect everyone else' opinion but i know how you feel , i turned 28 last month. Taking a chance with fin for another year which might not work will delay everything.
  6. Oh man looking at your posts i cant wait for my procedure. I am glad i chose Dr Bhatti
  7. Why not just let scabs fall off on its own ? Isn't that better and safe ?
  8. What do you guys think ? How many grafts am i going to need ? I am going for FUE for sure.
  9. Hi Everyone, First time posting here in the forum.I did quite a bit of research and have made up my mind to proceed with HT but don't know which doctor to go with and what precautions i have to take. So asking fellow forum members to guide me in this journey. 27 yr old East Indian Male with traction alopecia and family history of male pattern baldness. Though everyone in family got it in mid 40's. Not into styling my hair so much, but need dense hairline (fix the receded part) and fixing the temples/sideburn. What are the pre n post op considerations. And correct me if i am wrong but i need 50 hair / sq cm or 50 graft / sq cm. Obviously cost will be a deciding factor but not too concerned about saving pennies if quality isn't there. Second concern is i've seen lot of people getting hairline fixed but side temples are not brought down and inwards enough and it looks fake. I live in vancouver bc. Looked into Dr hassan n wong (Vancouver), Dr rahal (Toronto) , Dr bhatti (India) and Dr Sohi (India) . Canadian doctors are performing FUT mainly and even then with cost and scar, cant really justify it. Indian doctors on other side are cheaper but once you add in flight n stay it comes down to same number. Please advise.
  10. Is that final price though ? I dont want any surprise fees afterwards. And for slit does Dr Bhatti do lateral slits for temple area ? I am thinking about going to india in october so get it done last week of october. I will have to take time off of work and school so don't want any hiccups. Like what do i need to do and whats the procedure like and how much hair do i need i want dense hair line. Please advise.
  11. Man i am in same situation. Thinking about getting hair transplant. I have little better density in the temples. How much did it cost and is the redness visible more on brown skin ? I am planning on staying there for a week after procedure and then fly back to canada. Any advice ?
