I just talked to Dr. Hasson's office and they told me they could easily harvest and implant 3500+ and much more with the FUE. They have done 5k grafts with FUE and they said it would be done in two days. I am on the fence again here... Their FUT is also much cheaper as well.

I personally would go with hasson. They used a very similar technique that I received. I am sure I would have been recommended fut for my hairloss. I was pretty far gone in front and had moderate loss in the crown. So glad I chose FUE, but FUE using the 7-8mm punch size. I think we are all don’t want efficiency to sacrifice quality.

There’s no perfect doctor, but he changed my life. My advice is research, talk to real patients. He’s easily searchable in the advanced search page, and there’s been quite a few FUT patients that have had amazing results @Skyb comes to mind.

I agree that guy has a killer result @Skyb but I think even he would agree in that whole pattern thing. He lucky to have thicker hair and probably many doubles and Triples to distract from the pattern. But hopefully we can all agree using a doll like pattern style implant draws the eye more to notice something is off. With that said your right no doctor is perfect, I am simply point out artistic ability which I guess is subjective. Your right he has many happy customers so I am not basing him just the technique.

I had surgery with Dr. Diep in February (thread). I'm not sure what his FUT is like, but I can say that his placement of grafts in my case was grid-like.

Part of the issue could be that the singles at the front of my hairline haven't grown in yet, and this could end up resolving itself down the line. Can't comment on the FUT scarring since I went FUE. I like the density that Dr. Diep is able to create, though. My advice would be to read up on at least 4-5 different threads and make a decision for yourself. It's a big decision and there's not necessarily one right answer.

Wow, it’s hard to believe that someone would implant like a doll in the 21st century. I can understand some patients getting poor or slow growth, because many factors can contribute to that beyond surgeons control but that right there has is no excuse , just no “eye” for details.

  4. @ADuckwithNoHair grid like pattern. 😆 I often wondered that myself. I see a few doctors pattern implantations that way. I think any form of pattern is a dead giveaway when it comes to transplants.I think FUT is over rated and the guys I see expecting better results from them are no more satisfied than a FUE. Stick with FUE with a 7-8 mm punch max.

It's funny- I just checked my doc's post-op instructions, and it says not to use saline.  But several people here have recommended it.  Anyone know why that is?

It’s really all about not getting infections. Saline solution they use for contacts so serves the same purpose on scalp. I believe 🤔 h2ocean uses the natural salt from the ocean to do the same thing.
I will say the h2ocean had me almost totally healed in 7 days. I just wish I used it on my first transplant.

Just checked out your thread, looks awesome mate, great density and hairline, I have fine hair like you and I agree it’s hard to get great density with one pass, but you defiantly nailed it with your surgeries

Thanks brother! We both seemed to have done the impossible!👍

Hi there. New member, excited to be here. I post on Hair Loss Talk from time to time.

I'm approaching 5 months after a ~2200 FUE to my frontal third from a lesser known clinic in the Toronto area. I made the plunge after meeting a colleague in person who went to the same clinic and seeing his results.

I'm disheartened to say the density so far is lacking. I had suspicions from day 1 as the grafts seemed a little spaced apart compared to other results. Now that I'm halfway through I think it's pretty much confirmed my transplant won't be that great.

I'll likely be looking at a second procedure after 12 months, maybe with Dr. Rahal. People on other forums have mentioned a "top up" is possible, where they fill in a transplant and make it more dense. Can somebody describe to me how exactly that works? Wouldn't incisions run the risk of damaging nearby transplanted grafts?

Thanks in advance. The pics are today at almost 5 months, at 4 months, and pre and post-op.

From looking at your pictures, we have a similar hairloss. https://imgur.com/a/EITfvxC
So don’t worry you will be just fine in the end. Rome wasn’t build in a day. Lol

I think my expectations are fine though , I had such a small procedure to begin with only has 600 grafts as my first fue I would say I had 10% growth. Yes if I was a Norwood 4/5 then my results would be good but all I was having was my widows peak corrected. Honestly would say that I’ve had one of the smallest transplant areas I’ve seen on this site mate.

Look at the photo below , my hairline is sparse and has loads of gaps in which I don’t feel is right for such a small fue surgery. Maybe I am wrong but my surgeon said to me I would not have gaps where scalp was visible and he assured me of this.

Curious, what fue did you have done? DHI or traditional with forceps?

Is hair transplant a see through in sun light. I mean would people know that I have a hair transplant if I go in sunlight?

I have kinda beaten this topic up in many of my posts😆. But hey, someone has to talk about the elephant in the room! After looking at videos on YouTube before my procedure I never took in account how much light does affect for what you actually see in the mirror and how self conscious it can make one feel.

  10. 🤔 looking at my post op after my first, I only had 3900 grafts. I must say because you go from front to back it does look like way more than what I got. You might be right on the graft count. I agree with the other comment that it’s a big risk to have that much done in one go for many reasons. Most doctors will prefer under 3k grafts per session max and might push it to 4K but even that could be pushing it. Even my 3900 was done in 2 days.

I’m 8 months post fue and was wondering how much more growth I can expect and how much denser my hair may become. See loads of people on YouTube and forums saying they had achieved full results by the 7/8 months mark so just curious to how true this is.

I would say 95% of the time around 8 months should be a good indicator of what your results are. I can honestly say I scheduled my second surgery around my 7 month mark on my first procedure. ( I did wait 12 months until the day of second surgery) after my second surgery I would say I was comfortable to say not much improvement after 8 months and being I am at my 10 month Mark now after my 3rd, I think my theory is correct.

It just seems like you are all Fabio in your posts - why don't you grow your glorious hair down to your waist in the back & become a model already!!  😆😆

Don't mind me - I'm just having a piss at you.

No worries brother! Hey between you and me, I’d give Brad Pitt competition!😆😆

We get it.  You have a perfect result already.  You are in the tiny majority of hair restoration patients.  Keep gloating.

Yo brother, I am being real! You think I got this way in one procedure?? I am explaining the thing that made me self conscious when I am talking to somebody and I notice they glancing at my hairline. No body is perfect but I am giving hope that more than one procedure can overcome some weak points on transplants.

  14. Another thing on density. It’s one thing to be in your car and you say this looks great! Maybe even walking around in your house. People see what you see. I honestly can spot a transplant right away when the density is not there. Why? Because it almost looks like a perfect hairline but you almost can count the hairs coming out of one scalp and most people don’t thin out with perfect hairlines. I was at a Christmas party one time and I was talking to this guy under a intense light. I keep thinking to myself this guys hair is not right. Even worse when a doctor gives you a perfect recession but the density is lacking. It just does not look right in way too many light situations.

Looks great! One of the first HT vlogs I followed was a Nader patient on youtube, blonde american guy called Tom I think - your hair style in your 9 1/2 month reminds me of him, he wore his hair long also and it looked amazing.

Lol, he was the guy I watched too! I emailed him a few times. Nice guy! Dr. Nader is a great doctor I am surprised he does not get more recognition on this site. Results vary person to person but his technique and equipment are top notch and better than most. I have seen Him fix a FUT job by a top doctor in New York. I referred a guy who spent big bucks in New York on fut only to not be happy and have a scar. Took Dr Nader a few times to really fix and make dense, but damm he looks amazing! I wish he had the balls to post on here like me. Lol

  16. Just “crowning around “😆😆

so this basically is probably my final results on the crown. I am content for now. My hair is long so it really spreads out the scalp in some areas when you part your hair. I feel this is normal and even see this on girls. Let me know what you guys think? Actually my hair was wet in the some pictures and almost dry in the other. I try to show 2 different lights. The one basically directly underneath harsh lighting.
