  1. Hi Thanks for sharing your photos. Work looks nice and clean with good result. I am pleased for you.
  2. Agree with some of the points made above. The genetic code does play the most important role in terms of the extent and pattern of male baldness. We see millions of men with androgenic alopecia, they never go totally bald( alopecia universalise), which means the hair loss does stop at a certain age. Again this stopping of hair loss may not be age dependent, but those parts of head which maintain hair is resistant to DHT. Here we are not discussing the cure for MPB, just trying to find out whether taking meds boost and give a better result post HT.
  3. Growth cycle of transplanted hair is very variable, this depends on different factors such as the stage of hair growth, duration that they have been out of the body. Certainly, post transplant, hair growth is not the same for all hair , some continue to grow, some shed, some grow a little and remain dormant for a while and some prick through the skin and stop. For them all to become mature and grow simultaneously time is needed. This is where the patience come and the time mark of 12 to 18 months. I am currently 10 days shy of 4 month mark, I see my transplanted hair growing as mentioned and they appear to be in different stages.
  4. Hi and congratulations on your new look/hair. It looks good for 3000 FUE. Do you have some photos immediately post op?
  5. At this stage the scabs have formed and all the dots would look black. But before this happens the skin around the hair can look white or pinkish. Yellow discolouration is unusual. Just make sure they are not infected and have no yellow/green discharge. Try contacting the clinic where you had your HT. Best of luck
  6. To use Finesteride or not post HT depends on your age and whether your hair loss has been stable or not. Hair loss due to DHT can happen till late 40s unless you have lost what you were supposed to lose. However if your hair loss has been stable for years then you can have your HT without taking above medication as the hair on the back and sides of the head are by enlarge resistant to DHT loss. All the best
  7. I think it is normal. I am 13 weeks post HT and occasionally shed one or two transplanted hair which is short or even have grown a little. Just look to make sure it is the hair only and does not contain the actual follicle. If the later is true, you have nor reason to worry.
  8. Great results, doctor Lupanzula, fantastic transformation and this chap has got every reason to be satisfied with his results and your incredible job. As mentioned by another member, looking at the extent of his hair loss and donor density, he would have been turned down by some clinics. Can you mention what was his donor density please? Thanks
  9. If this is the centre where harin had his HT, then is good. harin can confirm this. We had another case recently, seen it on this forum. Not all docs in India are bad.
  10. hi harin The oil you are referring to, how soon post HT can be used? do you use regain as well or just this oil? thanks
  11. Hair line looks really good and natural, just wondering with such a good donor zone, his temples could have also been improved.
  12. The regrowth rate of the grafts is low and when compared to the regrowth rate of the hair transplanted, In your statement above which I have pasted what do you mean by the regrowth rate of the grafts compared to the regrowth rate of the transplanted hair? the grafts in first part of your statement were transplanted or not and if yes which tool did you use? Where is this new instrument coming from? 65% growth rate ridiculously low, how do you compare your results with other HT surgeons?
  13. very impressive and natural looking hair line with good density. Good job done doctor
  14. Looks good so far. Can you mention if this clinic uses motorised or manual punch for extraction of hair follicles? The clinic mentions direct hair transplant, can you explain how long the grafts were out of your body for? Do they extract and implant at the same time? Would appreciate your reply. As am considering to have my 3 HT and will need to use a lot of beard hair. So far I have not chosen a clinic for my 3 HT, this doctor looks good and they have impressive cases and videos on their website. Thanks
  15. Does Dr Lupanzula perform HT in Glasgow? I thought he is only doing it in Brussels.
  16. it depends on the laxity of your scalp skin and how tight the scar was upon closure/stitching. I am currently 3 months post my FUT, if am conscious will feel the tightness and particularly when moving eyebrows upwards, otherwise do not feel tight at all. The duration of soreness will differ from person to person and how fast is the process of your own healing will determine it. Try and avoid any movement which is likely to stretch it for up to 8 weeks, this will hopefully make your wound heal nicely without any noticeable scar.
  17. Hi Any updates on your HT, are you happy with the result so far. I am considering having my third TH in next few months, would like to know if you still recommend this doctor. Has anybody had BHT done by him? Thanks
  18. Hi Has anybody used FAST shampoo post HT and how was the outcome? Appreciate the feedback
  19. Hi guys I had my second HT with BHR in Brussels and awaiting photos to be sent to me. I just wanted to ask what are the best products to use in order to maximise the growth following an HT. There are so many products on the web which are confusing and not sure about the reliability of their ingredients, need to know from members on what products they used and proved to be beneficial. Thanks
  20. Hi I am booked to have my second HT with Dr B in Brussels on 30/31TH/08/16. This will be a combination of FUT AND FUE. Will post some pics and my experience when back from my procedure. Any final words about BHR clinic before I go?
  21. Hi I recenlty came to hear about this doc and his qualifications with results seem to be very good. I would like to know if anybody had HT with him using body (beard and chest hair) and the outcome. I really appreciate the feeback as seriously considering him for my second HT if achieves good results with body hair. Please guys, let me know as need to make my decision in the next 3 weeks.
  22. You may suffer from a condiiton called nerve hypersensitivity following the procedure, this can happen following irritaiton of the nerve on the scalp. You could try some tablets for neuropathic pain such as Amitritylin, Gabapentin or Pregabalin. These sometimes can help, though not all the times. I am a General Physician
  23. Hi all I am planning to have a Combined FUT AND FUE with Dr C Bisanga in Brussels. Frankly quite concerned about the scar from FUT, two other centres advised against FUT because of degree of my hair loss at the back, but Dr B did agree to do it. Need to know if any one had FUT with him and how does the scar look like. He told my that after 2-3 weeks scar can easily be covered. Please advise. I am enclosing photo of back of my head thanks
  24. Thanks Bill I am more inclined to go for the combination. I find it really difficult to understand the huge difference in my hair density based on assessments by two different outstanding HT Surgeons.
