You guys are not gonna believe this but I've actually grown quite a bit of hair in 3 weeks on my crown.
Its only part of the crown so far, not the whole thing.
I'll take pics when the hairs are longer and show up better in a photo
-
It's already 7 month, and I know this is close to final results because I haven't seen any improvement since last month , so I don't expect huge changes in the next few months. Even Dr Wong admitted that any future growth will be minimal past this stage
Join the club my friend. My transplant from Hasson & Wong is a complete failure as well.
I'm at 9 months in case you're wondering
-
Well it has only been 8 months
9 months
-
Have you talked to your doctor about it?
No, I'm gonna wait with that until the full 18 months are up.
I got my HT in February 2016, so that would be August 2017 sometime
-
how much coverage is 65 hairs per cm2 supposed to give?
A lot more than what I got now.
Here is my 9-month update. Very little progress.
I did a cm2 hair count and it isnt even close to 35 grafts per cm2 right now.
I'm gonna give it the full 18 months to see where things stand. I might be a slow grower. My growth started off with a bang, but now its completely stopped in the last 3 to 4 months or so
-
I think this guy lists the best ones...
You might be able to slow it down, but Dr. Axe is wrong when he says you can reverse it
-
You guys are probably right, but I just dont wanna go to my grave regretting that I never tried it
-
hi justlax im going throught roughly the same as you im day 15 post op , ive been using aloe vera gel organic 99% what you have is fine ive put it on donor and recipient
bb
And how is that working?? Is it speeding up the healing of your scalp redness??
-
Justlax,
Just stay away from harsh chemicals and anything with alcohol. I couldn't find a pure enough one, so I went with an actual Aloe Vera plant. Peeled it, and dabbed it on my grafts gently, and on the donor site
Thats actually a good idea.
Or you can buy organic aloe vera powder, dissolve that in purified water, and then apply that liquid on your head twice a day. That way you dont get all the crappy additives that come with commercial products
-
Jason is the best Aloe on the planet IMO. Its 98% pure.
I use it often for sunburns and usually its gone within a few days.
Not sure if you can buy it in UK though. But Ebay will probably have it.

Jack, Dutchie had his HT 9 months ago on his front and mid scalp I believe. I think this PRP work on the crown is just experimental. Totally different area of his dome
Thats correct. I even had the doctor inject the PRP 1 cm below my transplanted hairline, just so it wouldnt cause any shock loss or anything like that
-
Yeah, it looks a little gross. Its just dried up blood though.
Think of it my scalp having its period
-
But please dutchie post your progress & this be interesting thread for me & others to see what can or can not be archived over your next coming months
I will definitely keep you guys updated.
Strangely enough I can feel some stubble underneath the skin already
-
Thanks for your replies, guys.
I decided to try it since I got a good deal for my crown for only $750.
Lets see what happens, maybe I'll get lucky and grow some hair....LOL.
It leaves quite a bit of blood afterwards, so you might wanna put a towel over your pillow at night.
Pics below:

A few questions regarding PRP please:1.When new hairs grow after PRP treatment, do they come out of the scalp as very thin hairs the same way they would like new transplanted hairs, or they come out thick right away and dont have to mature??2.How many weeks does it usually take before the first hairs grow out??3.Do they all grow out at once, or do some hairs grow out later than others??4.Whats the approximate success rate??
-
Dr. Umar emailed me back. Below is my question to him and his response
(I have no idea why he called me Mr. Hans....LOL):
Hi Dr. Umar,
I am considering having a partial scalphair and beardhair transplant done on my crown.
I figure it would take about 2,000 grafts to cover the bald spot up.
My only concern is scarring or tiny dots left on neck from the beardhair transplant.
Is this a common problem, or do you rarely encounter this??
Hello Mr Hans,If done properly, the healing sequalae is typically seamless. Kindly complete our free online consultation form so i can make recommendations specific to your situation.

Thanks David.
I'm barely hanging on here. Anxiety is killing me
I'll be allright though. No worries.
I'm a goddamn trooper!
-
The only techs that do the implantation are the ones with like 15 years of experience right?
I guess you could also give temporary SMP a shot to see if it adds to the density appearance.
Also, change to beer instead, the estrogens will help your hair, lol
How's your HT coming along??
-
I really should learn to be more patient though.
Patience is not my strong point.
Vodka however.......
-
Beer is for lightweights
-
What I'm really getting paranoid about is perhaps the tech girls didnt insert the grafts properly.
Or maybe the holding solution that temporarily holds the grafts while they're outside of the scalp was past its expiry date, and ruined most of the grafts.
This is what scares me, and what I'm getting paranoid aboot!!!
I need more vodka!!!
-
I think its unfair to compare results, there are different variables that come in to play, for one I have a small head so the area that needed to be covered was much smaller, I also have thicker hair, and I grow my hair out and style it in a way that gives the illusion of density.
Dutchie, I think taking a look at your pre-op photos would really help you asses your situation to see how far you've come, it's not good to compare results, as everyone grows at different times and have different characteristics, the important thing is that progress is being made. It's still just 8 months, the hair hasn't matured, hopefully you can grow your hair out a bit longer i think it would do wonders on your overall result
Thanks HTS, your posts are really helpful.
I like your honesty and perspective on things.
AFA growing my hair really long like you said, that doesnt work on curly hair guys like me. What happens is when I grow my hair long, I start looking like Krusty the Clown (trust me, I've tried). It just doesnt work. I look like a freak
-
Thanks guys, I appreciate all the support.
Maybe by February things will grow denser, who knows.
The weird thing is in my 4th month I grew hair like really crazy, and then everything just stopped.
So now I'm getting paranoid again
-
I'm pretty bummed out right now
But nice car there 911fan, the old ones are some of my favourites
