Looks very good .
Nice to read the positive aspects a HT can give from a self esteem aspect .
-
Looks really nice improvement for 6 months Chris, very happy for you!
Thanks David - much appreciated .
-
Still early days Chris ,looking good for 6 months, I think you'll be more than happy when it reaches full maturity in the next 12 months.
Cheers Mick
.Just saw your latest update - really looks excellent .
Have you decided on a date / surgeon yet for your 2nd HT ? 2 to 3 k grafts should make a really good difference . Judging by your previous HT , your hair calibre looks excellent .
-
HCH ,
You've been given excellent advice in this thread so there's not really much to add .
Just my opinion , but I certainly wouldn't be lowering the hairline to the extent marked out in the opening post , for all the reasons given .
Keep up on the Fin and see how things go . I certainly wouldn't rush into things at your age / level of hair loss . See how things turn out and take it from there .

Hi Chris,
Congrats for the new look and great result
Cheers
Thanks for the comments . In reply to your questions :
1- Did you take Finasteride pre/ postop? Nope
2- What's your total baldness in square cm including your crown? 200 sm2
3- Did you discuss the long term plan with Dr. K if any additional surgeries would be required after addressing your crown? Yes , we discussed things .
4- How many grafts in total do you have in the donor area? 2000 plus - will need aproper assessment if I decide to do HT no.2
5- Reason why you preferred FUT over FUE so you can avoid the linear scar? Plenty of info' on the reasons why FUT is the optimal initial option for the higher NW's , which is the reason I went with it . That's not to take anything away from peoples decision to go FUE straight off ( some really good examples of FUE on higher NW's in this forum ).
6- is it possible to show us a pic from top with a comb forward wet hair? Nope - I don't normally walk around with my hair wet and combed forward in my everyday life , so didn't see the point in it !
Keep researching my friend , I'll check out your thread later .

Looking good Chris, its made a big difference to your appearance and will definitely thicken up over the next 12 months.
cheers hairsgone - can still feel new hairs sprouting so hopefully more density to come .
-
Most definitely will I stay on it. Probably for the full 18 months
Thats excellent progress for 6 months. You've got at least another 6 months of growing left.
Enjoy!
Thanks Dutchie - fingers crossed for more growth ! You're a few months behind me but looks to be kicking in nicely .
-
Looking good Chris - amazing transformation from where you were at the 4 month mark. More to come!
Thanks Mav - appreciated . Just checked your thread and looking good my man .
-
Looks great Mav - hairline looks solid and dense .

how much money are you allowed to carry with you without declaring it? I'm trying to Google it but it doesn't tell you a definite answer.
10,000 euros !

Just passed the 6 month mark and I'm pretty happy with the progress so far . Like most people . I've had ups and downs in the post-op period . Some days you feel like the progress isn't as you'd hoped while other days all is right with the world .
I've hit a stage now where I almost expect this is the finished reult but need to remember that some people only start showing growth afetr the 6 month mark . If it stayed as it is , I'd still be good with what's been acheived . Anything from here on in is a bonus .
When I started out on the HT journey , my initial expectations were wildly over the top considering my level of hair loss . Accordingly , I reassessed what could reasonably be achieved , and to the that end I'm good with things . Perhaps I would have liked the hairline to be a smidgeon lower where it meets the temporal points , but this maybe something I can look at when I have my crown area addressed .
I've attched a photo pr-op which is always a good indicator of how things have progressed .
-
Certainly looks like shock loss and in all likelihood will be temporary . Can take up to 6 months to resolve itself .
Have you contacted your surgeon about this ?
-
I think erdogan is out of my price range as I was quoted over ?8000, but with Yaman it was around ?2000, for almost the same amount of grafts !
Erdogans clinic is the most expensive in Turkey hands down , but there's no denying the consistently solid results . Although Erdogan doesn't do all the work , the technicians sound like they are very highly trained .
Consequently , if you want to go to Erdogan , you pay top money relatively speaking .
-
I agree with what you are saying but development to me is probably the most important reason. Do you know that in Uefa u17,u19, u21 and u21 world cup last time England won anything it was 1973 and it was an under 19. In major competition they have won nothing since 1966, been to no finals and only two semi finals (1990, 1996).
You're right - we always under preform in the major competitions . There's a vacancy going if you fancy it !
-
Is this a tech only clinic? I don't know.

I think you know that one Lorenzo - $ 1500.00 for unlimited grafts - I'd bet my house on it !
-
I think you answered your own question . Google away and if nothing comes up , then you know the score .
Turkey Surgeons - Erdogan , Yaman , Karadeniz . There are others , but research as much as you can before deciding .
-
All the above answers are right , because there is no absolute correct answer .
As far as Propecia is concerned , that again depends on a number of factors . Some clinics will insist on this as it potentially going to give a better result form the HT alone - i.e. how much of the result was down to the HT and how much was down to the Propecia . It also depends on the level of hair loss and if it has stabilised .
Although I got a years supply of Proscar , I decided against taking this - primarily due to medical reasons , but also because I think my hair loss has stabilised ( hopefully ).

I have so much respect for Iceland, after losing 4-0 in the first half they come back and score two goals. They didn't just park the bus and defend, they actually went out and played, they lost to a better team but they can go home with their heads held high cause they fought tooth and nail. This French team is solid, it'll be interesting to see how they will do against the Germans.
That'll be a tough one to call - the French on home soil but the Germans hard to beat in competitive games . Can see it being similar to the Italy game - very cagey . We'll see .
Iceland showed what can be achieved with teamwork and a tactical plan . In reality , they should never have got as far as they did , which is all the more remarkable .Greece showed it could be done in 2004 .

I like the English a lot. Have been there twice and always find them very nice, funny and respectful. But if anyone actually though this England team was good don't know much about football. As years go on thanks to coaching, development and foreigners in the premiership the England players are starting to lag behind. They need to restructure how they start training players at a young age and follow the examples of other nations. Iceland has gone a long way and should be proud of what they have done,
To be fair , there's a fair bit of debate over here about that . One reason often touted is that here's no winter break . That coupled with along season , the number of teams in the premier league , the no. of competitions - these are all factors why we undeform on the international stage .
The individual players are a lot better than they performed as a team - not helped by a clueless manager .
-
Looked excellent after the first session , but I can understand why you wanted to do the second .
I had my HT just over 6 months ago and I'm really pleased with the progress so far . However , although I will need a second HT to address the crown I'd like to lower the frontal hairline very slightly . Maybe my hairline will soften over the coming months so will just have to wait and see.
Look forward to your updates .

I think someone else mentioned it earlier on , but even the HT descriptions are wrong .The homepage describes a strip surgery and following pages describe FUE .
He also states "AS you know Turkey is the best destination and we have the latest technology and most experienced doctors." Quite the statement considering they seemingly don't know the difference between strip and FUE .
Turkey certainly has the most HT clinics in the world per capita , but I can count on one hand the no. of surgeons / clinics that I would even consider .

I did the same - bought one online and the wife removed them all . Only one of the 60 odd staples hurt on removal . The half hour head soak in the bath definitely helped .

7 weeks is still very early so no need to stress . It's likely that most , if not all , of the transplanted grafts have shed and is the usual course of events .
It's usual for things to look worse than pre op for a couple of months at least . You should really start to see things developing around the 3 to 4 month mark , but sometimes takes longer than this .
