The hair line and other temple I believe you are happy with and he has said to me personally he can touch up and deal with this area. Dear thelook, Apologies for the delay in replying, but due to you having an advisor from another country it took time just to get the information on your case as I myself have had no input and wasn't aware of your case so needed assistance from your respective advisor for your country. I believe also this is on another international forum but will reply myself here and your advisor on the other one for your country. Firstly sorry you are not happy with the temples and we will address that also in this post and I hear you were happy with how the hair line came but of course we wish to have a content patient. We believe your advisor has been in touch with you and that you had a very recent personal consultation with Dr.Bisanga and also a second surgery booked for next month. As I am aware the concern on the temples was addressed then also and a touch up offered and I believe your advisor has had pretty extensive communication with you also with regards to addressing anything needed in terms of additional grafts. Your surgery was over two days, the doctor will traditionally make the recipient sites for the day 1 needed. At times he will need to cut more again for the graft amount for the day if more are needed and conversely there could be more cut in anticipation of placing on day 1 but that may not be used and this is common also, there will be a margin of difference either way. Pictures of the procedure show that grafts were placed on Day 1 on that area. Day 2 more grafts are punched, more recipient sites are cut and older ones re-opened that were not used. I have had multiple surgeries myself and this was also the case for me also and it is a simple matter of them being opened for placement as they will close naturally. This has no effect on the donor and no wasting of grafts, so please be assured of that. The same amount of grafts and sites are cut but as said there can be some from day 1 that need opening again. The hair is coarse and shorter there and transplanted hairs can come in coarser and darker and more wirey and will take time to cycle and refine and it can be less of an issue on a hair line or elsewhere but more of an issue on temples and for some as said this is the case while the transplanted hair softens. When short the hair will also have a curl and can be wirey and go in several directions naturally, aside from the angles and direction of the transplant. Time is needed for it to relax but it can be an issue while doing so. That said, when Dr.B saw you he acknowledged we need to soften the temples and add density and he will put also some grey hairs there to help in this effect and add as needed free of charge but he did acknowledge a touch up would be needed and I believe this was agreed and surgery planned now in the next month. Hi, Thanks for the comments. Density in the hairline can vary from patient to patient. Calibre of the hair and average of hairs/FU have an incidence on that issue. That said, we could be talking about 45-55 FU/cm2 in the hairline. One of the characteristics of Dr. Bisanga hairlines is that he searches "soft" hairlines using thin follicles and a zig-zag design, avoiding a "wall" effect. Here some comparatives before-after. Dear Carbollic / Smokeball101, Thank you very much for upgrading your process with the new pictures. Considering we are 5.5 months the overall result seems very good. It is true that new hair has to mature and each FU has its own cycle so some can look "faster" than other. Do not also forget that new hairs can grow until 7-8 months approx. But as said the evolution is very correct considering the current stage. Anything you may need we are at your total disposal.

Dear all, Just to clarify and as per booking document sent to patients, Dr.Bisanga will punch all of the grafts needed for the surgery, the technician will remove the grafts that have been punched as per all of our results and Dr.Bisanga will cut all of the recipient sites needed for the patient. The confusion is in the word "extraction", which means as it is, to extract, not score nor punch the graft but to remove the follicular unit that has been punched by the doctor. Once punched the follicular units are then extracted after punching has completed so that the out of body time is limited.‎ If more are needed then the doctor will punch more as and when needed and evident. Clinics themselves have different terminology for extraction and often do not differentiate from punching but we do and try to be clear also in our booking forms and role of the doctor and staff that we send to patients. Unfortunately there are cases where a new HT is not possible. @ Matt27, hairline design is very personal. In order to draw the line Doctor Bisanga takes different measurements of the face of every patient according to bone structure, etc. But obviously we take into account the goal and comments of the patient and if they can be achieved.
