Wow you guys in the States pay crazy money for hair transplants. You would probably pay 3/4 of that max for two of the best docs in Europe (Feriduni & Bisanga) if not less. Having said that Feriduni is heavily reliant on techs as well but he is very involved with the process. I didn't feel rushed when I was with him and was the only patient on the day, If I was going to have an HT in the States, and could afford it, I think the only doc I would go to would be Konior who while being expensive, does everything himself.
Yes Konior is about as great in the states as you can get will be meeting
with him soon. He is honest won't cut on you if he thinks you are a lost cause. He is a great doctor and cares about the long term of his patients.

I'm not sure what you guys feel is so unusual about this. The majority of the time the techs are doing the placement of the grafts. The doctor does the extractions and creates the recipient sites. This is how most clinics do it.
I understand that I know lots of clinics work that way but the after care in
this clinic seems awful. HT soon had a surgery didn't even get to talk to
the doctor afterwards. That is just ridicolous for the money he spent.
Nobody should be treated this way.

Consultation was a joke harin. My donor was not even looked at how scary is that ? That was the major red flag. There was not talk of future loss any of it. It was like
let me get you in the chair. I think he does great work but his bedside manner
seems terrible. Dealing with their office is terrible. They are nice people but not organized. My consult time was double booked and it seems a miss. I am not attacking his surgical ability but the after care and how patients are treated once they have your money. I did not have a surgery with them so my perception is speculation. I have seen bad reviews here and on other sites. I just think they should think twice about recommending him on here. The follow up seems terrible. There is a case of a women on here had Folliculitis. She tried to get through to the clinic had a bad time. You need to set an appointment to get through to the doctor. This in my opinion is awful. Some doctors give you their email . I think the treatment here is terrible. I want a doctor not a salesman.
Wish the doctor would address all I have said.

There is a lot of corruption it seems. I can't speak to these specific doctors but it is clearly not just them. I don't think any doctor should be recommended unless they are validated in person. I have experienced a bad experience by someone who is recommended on here as well. I did not have surgery because I saw the red flags. In the end doctors work for us we don't work for them. I just joined here today but have been following these forums for a long time. I joined saw a
patient that was treated poor by someone I was considering and decided to not stay silent. Clearly some of the clinics need to be looked at again. In the end who is more important? The patient or the doctors here that pay a fee to be here.

Shadow I felt like what you said , getting ready to be put on an assembly line.
I think this clinic should be reevaluated for being recommended . Ht soon
is the reason I signed up today. I have been researching this clinic for over a year following on all the sites and the way he got treated is not surprising . If you google it you will find it. The truth is the truth. I had that voice that said don't do this now I am so thankful I didn't.

This is a very personal decision for all of us that go through this . The argument about age is probably a much more an important one then fut vs fue. I see both
sides to this but in the end I agree with shadow because he doesn't want to see
this guy be disfigured at thirty or forty. There is a reason clinics post results one
year instead of five year results. This disease is progressive. If he needs that
limited number of grafts he probably is not so bad should stick to meds. There
is no guarantee that they will halt his loss. I had an amazing head of hair
at 22 if I had done a transplant to fill any of the thinning I would be screwed
now as my front one third is all but gone now. Everyone is different but
better to be safe in my opinion. I think this is painful for anyone to go through
at any age. My friend in high school lost most of his hair by senior year is
a class 6 now. He dealt with a lot of jokes I know they hurt him but he has
moved on with his life and I don't think it bothers him at all anymore. I was the guy with thick hair then but now I am dealing with this and all of the depression that comes with it. He has moved on with his life developed a thick skin about this. I would gladly trade places with him now. This sucks for anyone doesn't matter what age it happens. This is natures way of telling you that you no longer
have control. Bald is not beautiful at least not for me. I admire people that shave their heads can get past this. There is an old movie I saw late one night that I think about while dealing with this. The movie is called the straight story
and there is a scene where some teenagers ask the main character who is in his
seventies what's the worst part of being old? His answer: remembering when you were young. This hits home really does. We all wish we could be what we once were but in some circumstances just can't. I am sorry for the pain this young guy
is going through hope it works out for him. Losing hair is an awful experience for
anyone.

That's a very solid result for this guy.

Thank You Ht soon . You have validated the feeling I had when I was there.
That confirms what I have read about how poor the after care is. It's ridiculous
he didn't talk to you after your surgery. After care is to me just as important
as the surgery itself. If I have fut done chances of infection go up and I want
to be able to talk to my doctor. I hope your results turn out great. I hope
the doctor reads this.

Thanks for your reply and understand what you are saying
and I want to say again I am not putting down this doctors
abilities I think his results are very good. If I were needing
fue I might still go with them but for strip I want to be sure
the doctor is doing a lot of the work. I am not impressed
with the scars I have seen from his strip surgeries on here.
Just would feel more comfortable with someone more hands
on like Konior or Cooley. Sorry if it seems like I have hijacked
this thread it's not my intention at all.

Sometimes the hair thickens and sometimes not. If it's too far gone it won't
do anything much. People tend to get the best results from a Propecia
Rogaine combo. It takes about a year to tell if it's working for you.
I did get side effects from starting propecia. I cut back the dosing take it
every other day and side effects have gone away. I would talk to your
regular doctor before taking it. Dr Bernstein who is recommended on here
has a very education website and shows examples of what the drugs can
do.

Reason I asked that question is I had an in person consultation and
it was an uneasy experience. I really wanted to go with this clinic
really love the hairline design but I just felt rushed. I flew all the way
to San Jose for thirty minutes of sitting in the waiting room and five
minutes of consultation. There was another guy there booked for
a consult the same time I was. They were doing a surgery while
the doctor was doing consults and a follow up. This seemed like
a lot to be going on at one time. It just seemed strange the doctor
was not in the surgery. I am not saying this doctor is bad but I
just felt red flags going off. I have decided against them I don't
want techs doing most of the work. I will say the guy that showed
up for the follow up looked great so you will probably get a nice
result. I will probably need an fut no way I am taking chances
with techs in that procedure. Like I said not knocking him as a doctor
but it seems that business has outgrown what they can handle.
They have bad reviews on patient follow up care on other sites I am not
allowed to post links but if you google it you will find them. I so wanted
to go with this clinic been following him here for over a year as a non
member and on you tube but even on here if you look at the fut
scars posted on here by other members do not look so good.

There is no clear answer to this because it works different for different people
or doesn't work at all. It did turn some of my vellus hairs in my crown into
terminal hairs but did nothing for my miniaturization in my
hairline or temples.

In my opinion 3000 is way to large a number. I have been told I need 3000
to fill in my frontal third and I am way more sparse than you are. You don't
look bad in my opinion but hard to tell from this picture. I am on the conservative
side though and like to think of banking grafts for the future.
-
This is just another fantastic result by Dr. Konior.
But wouldn't expect anything else from all of your
work I have seen.
-
I am very sorry for what you have been through.
Don't try and treat this yourself go to a doctor right away.
Thank you for spreading the word about this clinic they
should not be touching anyones head.

nope its true, that doesn't necessarily mean I'll have a bad result though, im only 3.5 months post op, I have started seeing some growth, but I just want to clarify that Dr. Diep does use technicians and in my case, I dont know how much they did vs how much he did, cause I was knocked out most of the procedure but I do know that the time I was conscious they were present. I'm hopeful but im documenting everything and taking pictures daily. Overall my experience was not a good one, it felt rushed, bedside manner was not good, I can't say id recommend him even if my results are fantastic.
Did you have an in person consultation with them before having
your surgery?

Amazing results.
