  1. Lots of protein and vitamin C post op to heal up those cuts and pain quicker
  2. How bad is the pain after fue? the donor and recioient? Is it immediately after op or does it take a few days to feel it? I'm wondering if pain meds wont be necessary and I can just tough the pain out
  3. Well, if someone is looking locally then there should be some good picks for the area. If its a wider area then its just the same names repeated over, like rahal, hnw or konnior, who get the most mentions. While there can also be good ones locally, sometimes I think people here just repeat what others say towards best docs
  4. Should I be worried about being a bleeder? Should I take a blood thickner vitamin like K or K2 3 days before HT? The docs say what not to use and eat to thin the blood but they never mention what to eat and use to thicken it. I'm wondering because I dont know how much it will affect to HT
  5. I was told I have good donor hair, like a 10/10. What are the benefits of this compared to someone with not so good donor quality? Does this mean better yield or better density, etc?
  6. Thanks i'll check him out. I have been on minox before with no help, is it necessary to be on meds? I'm sure many go with procedures without taking them, from reading others review HL blogs
  7. ok I'll try, I'm not sure about feller as I want to try fue to keep my hair somewhat short, and some stats are im in my 30's i dont take any meds, main family side has all their hair, so I think nw 3 is where I will stay until I get a consult for more info
  8. So far I'm looking at dorin and wesley, anyone know if they are in the aggressive camp or not also what other docs do you know are recommended that are aggresive near here?
  9. Yeah this seems like a bernstein, why didn't you go with dorin or other nyc docs?
  10. Lets say I'm between a 2 to 3 NW looking to go lower and my hair shed or loss has halted, should I be considering fut or go with fue? My hair will be cut in the #3-5 range so I dont think either would be a prob but if I wont most likely need extra work in the future should I stick with fue?
  11. I have always wondered about meds, lets say my hairloss stopped at around a 2-3 nw, and if I were to take meds and grew some, if I got off the meds would the hair still be there or fall back out, even though hairloss stopped at the 2-3 nw earlier? btw what is the miniaturization test for? Thanks
  12. Well I seem to keep my hair cut in the #3-5 range, in the past when washing my hair I would see alot of hairs in my hand, recently I have only seen a very few. I'm not 100% sure but I would say this is from eliminating certain foods from my diet these past months. I have also been taking calcium with zinc but not sure about this.
  13. I have something similar to that hair except my temple area is more thin and going to try for fue, I would say you could use a few grafts near the temple area maybe 800 grafts
  14. Thats the thing, I'm not the flying type.
  15. When I check out realself for fue I get upset seeing all the low prices for fue mostly from turkey or india, at the 2000$ range, I'm getting fue locally and gonna have to fork 5x that, do you see prices dropping to that level anytime this year in the US, or should I not even bother to wait if it does
  16. I've been losing 10 hairs daily for the past few months compared to maybe 5x that or more before. In my 30's and have between a 2-3 NW. I dont take any meds and don't want to. Is it a good time to do FUE or FUT? I will probably need 1500-2000 grafts, what would you do?
  17. Thanks guys, also now confused about hairs vs grafts. I seen on here somewhere posted that some grafts can contain 2-4 hairs, so they charge per graft and not per hair? so if I needed 1000 grafts, the 1000 grafts could possibly contain 2000 hairs?
  18. Thanks, one other thing, and yes I will read more about these two, but just a quick answer for this, is fut and fue sort of the same thing with the exception of a small scar in the back with fut and friendlier prices? I've only checked out fue so far but will check out fut next but the scar is putting off, I wonder why doctors dont just replace fut with fue if its almost the same thing without the scar and give fue better pricing
  19. I'm looking to move down 1 nowrwood from 3 to 2. And have around $6k saved to spend, I wish doctors would not do the $ per hair and have a set price. Looking for 1 norwood down as I mentioned. Can anyone pm me or mention here any docs with experience and with friendly prices?
  20. Been starting to research and the way they price FUE is confusing and has a pretty steep range, $5-$12 per graft. Wouldn't it be easier if they had set amount and used norwood scale, lets say I wanted my hair 1 norwood down, it would cost $5k, or if I want 2 norwoods down or a norwood down and a crown would cost $9k, or 3 nw's down would cost $12k. Seems they use the per graft to get the most amount of money from people by using a higher range and is confusing when trying to research
