  1. I really doubt it. I'm guessing that the folliculitis happens outside of the balding zone as well as within it. Even if it doesn't, the most likely cause of your diffuse loss is MPB.
  2. If I recall, it was at about 5 months. I'd had a lot of growth by that time.
  3. Your hair still looks pretty good, especially when dry in the last two photos. Your thinning isn't very noticeable at all in those. Personally I don't think you need a HT at this stage, but I would suggest going through with the consultation process with more doctors to give yourself a wide range of opinions. It's also worth noting that your donor area doesn't look very dense in that first photo.
  4. We don't know which doctor you're talking about. Some doctors are only comfortable doing small procedures so without knowing any more details, I would advise that you make sure that your chosen doctor has the skill and facilities to perform larger procedures.
  5. An example of a patient with an advanced hairloss pattern who required a high number of grafts to restore density and construct a dense hairline. Surgery details and photos.
  6. You get the best chance by using Finasteride and Minoxidil. Nizoral is a secondary treatment at best, but it doesn't harm to try it and it's inexpensive. You need to give the treatments a full year and it's possible that you'll experience a shed before you see improvement. The truth is, the treatments are hit and miss. Like I said, not everybody responds well. I think they're worth trying but you have to be prepared for the fact that they might not work at all.
  7. You have a chance of regaining some of the lost density, but I wouldn't want to put a percentage on it because everyone responds differently. It's a case of waiting and seeing how well you respond.
  8. Good to see you back! I didn't see your thread originally, but I would have reassured you that 4 months is very early. Obviously you've found that out for yourself now. Your hair is looking great and I'm pleased it worked out for you.
  9. It doesn't look like a lost graft and it doesn't sound from your description that you lost a graft either. It's just mild inflammation and not uncommon. The follicle within the area of redness should be fine.
  10. If your last session was on the Monday, then I'd start from there.
  11. Your hair is still looking good, other than some loss of density that is almost certainly male pattern baldness. The medications (Fin and Minoxidil) are better at boosting density in thinning areas rather than re-growing hair in completely bald areas. In other words, you with your situation are more likely to see benefits than someone with more defined hairline recession. Definitely worth a try.
  12. Neverlosehope, you've had just about as many grafts as anybody has. A huge number. As inconvenient as it might be, you really need to meet doctors in person before moving forward with this. With so much of your donor having been used, it should be assessed up close.
  13. I think we're talking about two very different doctors here. Recent video result We've got more videos coming soon.
  14. The timeline varies person to person. Other than using the saline spray and a softly-softly washing approach, I left my recipient area alone for two weeks, as per my doctor's instructions. If you have been washing your hair a bit more vigorously then it wouldn't be unusual to see some hair shafts shed at this stage. What you describe is well within what is considered normal.
  15. A pretty amazing testament to the power of concealers! The grafts from your previous work do look rather pluggy and obvious. Frankly it isn't very good work. I don't like pointing out these things, but you know it already. A procedure using maximum available grafts, done right, to give you density across the balding area would go a long way to improving things and making you less reliant on concealers. You state that you want FUE, but you might want to consider a second FUT procedure to give you maximum grafts. Are you against a second FUT?
  16. Being at the stage where the signs of surgery are most obvious, I think that is causing the appearance of the gap. Once you've completely healed and the hair is grown in, I doubt if it'll still be visible.
  17. All looking good/normal so far. It's nice that SMP exists as an option, but unlikely to be needed with your hair at that length, especially with your hair texture.
  18. Running isn't as much of an issue as something like weight lifting as it doesn't cause the same straining. However, I would wait the full 2 weeks as instructed. Judging from when you posted your question about shedding 6 days post-op I don't think you have many days to go before then.
  19. Both great doctors, both outstanding in hairline work. I am biased of course. Dr Rahal tends to do more density and be less conservative. Dr Rahal has hundreds of outstanding results on this site. let me know if i can be of any assistance to connect you with our consultant or send you specific results that match you pattern of hairloss.
  20. Here we have an Asian patient with a Norwood class 3 pattern including extensive thinning throughout his frontal zone. A perfect example of what can be done with FUE and a relatively small number of grafts. Photos can be found here.
  21. I'll see what I can do about post-op op pics. Here's a video with comb through.
  22. Congratulations, that's going to be an extremely impressive result! I know exactly what you're saying about the guesthouse and the unexpected boost you get from hanging out with others who are doing the same thing.
  23. I'm minging with the flu and this made me chuckle
  24. It was here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188970-please-help-me-clarify-my-shedding.html They only show a photo of the lost grafts. To me (and apparently his doctor too) they look like the entire transplanted follicle, rather than the normal shed hair with scab/crust attached.
