  1. I have the same theory. Is there anyone on this board that was born with a full head of hair.
  2. He’s a top notch doctor, Zarev whose similar charges 4 euros per graft. 5-7k makes sense if you only need 2,000 grafts, but I’m assuming you’re a Norwood 6/7, which is why you reached out to a doc like Pittella. 5-7k is only achievable at a hair mill in Turkey. The top doctors in Turkey charge 3 euros or $3.50 USD. It’s basically the same price. If you can’t afford a good surgeon, best thing to do is save up, or shave. Remember shaving is free and doing nothing is never a bad thing.
  3. I’ve always thought there’s some correlation to how much hair you have as a baby vs. when you get older. Again, a Native American baby full head of hair. Hairline quite low. When I was a baby I was a Norwood 4. Hairline looked like Sting, and my forehead you could project a kids TV show on.
  4. Yes, Mediterraneans on average have very thick hair. Not all, but the majority. As far as I’m aware, the only ethnic group with consistently low hairlines are pure native Americans.
  5. Italians and other southern Europeans (Spanish, Portuguese) usually have more male pattern baldness in their general population than East Asians for example. These two guys are outliers. Again, we should never classify a population by outliers. It’s like if I said Italians are all Norwood 7s because Jon Polito is a Norwood 7.
  6. It’s possible you won’t get any side effects using it topically.
  7. Topical dutasteride has very little absorption due to its molecular weight.
  8. Its possible the lighting and angle makes it looks worse than it is, but in that picture, it looks like you've already depleted your donor. I would have assumed you've already had a few FUE procedures.
  9. You only have to shave your beard if you're using your beard as a donor supply.
  10. I spoke about this with Dr. Muresanu of Hattingen, who is definitely someone worth considering. So many people want a hair transplant for a specific date, i.e., a wedding, vacation, etc. But their time restraint for one day will effect the rest of their life. It makes absolutely no sense. Now, I'm not saying wait 2-3 years that's absurd, but waiting 6-9 months shouldn't be an issue. The best surgeons have a waitlist, if there is no wait list, then I would be worried.
  11. The vehicle does matter IMO. We’ve known for quite some time that liposomal vehicles are better, but now that with the introduction of a silicone matrix, were able to keep the medication from penetrating beyond the first layer of the skin. That’s the reason why farmacia parati and xyon can do 1-2% of dutasteride, as opposed to 0.01%.
  12. Unfortunately your donor looks very thin. I would not get an HT. The donor doesn’t look suitable. Keep shaving, you have a good shape head.
  13. We need a before picture to judge the results. Do you mind sharing some before pictures?
  14. It can add some volume, but I don’t think its bad to post results with these products in, I mean I posted my results using sea salt spray whichever definitely boosts volume more than any pomade or hair spray would.
  15. Everything looks normal at this point. This is gonna be a record on the forum. I think Hugox is the only other comparable case.
  16. Nice can you post baseline photos? I’ve been using it now 3x per week. No sides at all.
  17. I don’t believe there are any fibers. I don’t see how pomades or hair wax would make a difference, they’re not concealers.
  18. There’s nothing wrong with calling it a juvenile or mature hairline. That’s like calling someone “average” height instead of saying 5’10. The majority of the male population on earth follow the juvenile to mature hairline pattern. Almost everyone has the male pattern baldness gene in their gene pool. But their sensitivity to DHT varies, that’s why we have various degrees of baldness. The two extremes Norwood 0 and Norwood 7 aren’t common at all. Also, people outside of the hair loss community don’t have a clue what the Norwood scale is, so it makes it easier to say juvenile or mature hairline to the general public. Walking around and saying that’s a Norwood 2 hairline isn’t really feasible in real life scenarios. Now, If you wanna say non-receded vs. receded that makes more sense than using the Norwood scale.
  19. If you had a crystal ball and saw that your would never lose hair past Norwood 3 level, then yea go for a Norwood 0 hairline. The likelihood of anyone getting a hair transplant not losing more hair is 0.1%. The goal of a hair transplant and clinic is to set you up for a longterm result. A 60 year old man with a juvenile hairline and nothing in the back would look ridiculous, and no being on finasteride doesn’t mean you won’t continue to thin. Medications are not a cure.
  20. Looks awesome, luckily most bald men never have to worry about beard hair transplants. I have too much beard 😅
