Dr Demirsoy - 3360 grafts FUE- Feb 2014
imnothere replied to imnothere's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Thanks for your input. To be honest i think im quite an early grower, when you see my 3 months. But i had my expectations a bit high for the 4th month for some reason.. One thing that i find strange is, i keep reading about the new hairs growing very fine and vellus in the early stages, mine however seem very thick. Its the sparseness that concerns me however. I probably just need to learn some patience. Good luck with yours! -

Well my previous 4 month update has vanished, so here is another one. The pictures taken outside are after wearing hat, and was a bit greasy from minox - so looking my worse basically. Its hard to say if im plased or not. In the bathroom it looks greast for 4 months, but then i see these pictures outside and find it hard believe its going to get good coverage in the next few months.. I know i should have a lot more growth to come, but after seeing other people 4 month progress, i get a bit concerned. I can feel stubble coming through see, however not in the center mid part of my head, which is disappointing. Anyways, what do you think? -
Such a change from 4 months! Im coming up to 4 months and have alot more than you did then - so its made me feel positive. Pleased for you.

Laser comb waste of time?
imnothere replied to Roman94's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
i Know its not quite the same thing - but apparently lasers are being used in dentistry now to repair teeth that would otherwise need fillings. I think it regenerates cells or something, so the teeth heal themselves. So maybe lasers maybe hold some sort of hope for hair loss? -

Good to see the redness is subsiding. Its bad enough dealing with the hair at this stage, let alone a pink head. My redness went after a month or so. I was using aloe vera and wearing a cap all the time outside. Also i changed so a non sulphate shapmoo with no chemicals in since having the HT. May or may not of affected things. Im 5 months behind you but had similar hairloss to you. An update would be good buddy. -

Stick his name into Google, and about halfway down you will find the German HL site. Alopezie or something like that - there you will find more..

I doubt you'd see too much in the donor area if you clippered it down. I keep it about a cm long, and probably will do until the new stuff gets longer. Did you go to Demirsoy? -

3 month update guys. Seems to have started to kick off now. I can feel lots of prickly little ones coming through also. Its amazing how light changes what you see. Out of the sun, my head looks really dark with great coverage, but in day light and especially looking at photos, it looks like nothing is there! Apologies for the bad face editing - when i open the pic to edit it, its completly zoomed it. Probably time to upgrade from Paintbrush.. Anyways, what do you think? -

1 week off a 3 month update. I have mixed feelings. Happy about healing and the fact i have growth, but the big spaces in between hairs that worry me. Especially the last picture. In reality i know its early and alot of the hairs havent sprouted yet, but ive seen other 3 months results and they seem to have alot more than me.. I does look better in real life than these harsh sunny photos, in my opinion. So at 3 months, have a lot of hairs not even sprouted? Comments? -

Any opinions on me not shedding all transplanted hair yet? Have any veterans noticed some hairs sticking around for better or worse? -

So im just coming upto 2 months. Original hair seems to be returning ok, cant really noticed much shock loss - but it is hard to tell at this length. I look pretty bad at the moment, as my donor area seems to be dark and as thick as ever, which really contrasts the top.. Need to get the clippers on it. I managed to bang my head aswell, which worried me, but it was a blunt impact an didnt have any real bleeding. I seem to have retained a fair few of the transplanted hairs, which feel like stubble. Ive tried to show this on the zoomed in picture below. Considering that part was almost slick bald, you can see quite a few hairs still there that havent shed. Is this a good or bad indication either way? -

This might sound a strange thing to say, but in hindsight i wish id asked for more documented results from this clinic. When i was in the consultation they only seemed to have 9 or 10 results to show me. And most of those were ones i had already seen online.. So to get there and only be shown ones id already seen was a bit concerning. He should have hundreds of results surely?!! I dont regret anything, as all seems to be healing well, however i just wanted to let people know this. -

HI guys, 5 week update. As stated i have started Minox 5% (Only once a day) about a week ago. That seems to have made me start shedding almost immediately. I had been hanging on to my transplanted hair quite well, but im not bothered if Minox kick starts this process Redness is only really visable on the hairline itself - seems to look worse in pics. I think i may have some shock loss at the top on the side. If you look at my pics before HT, i had pretty thick hair in that area, but these pics make it look thin as hell. These are taken in direct daylight. What do you think? -

lighting isnt the best mate. Try outside, Doesnt look too bad though, -
Hairline does seem a bit low in my opinion. So are you saying he didnt follow the line you agreed on?
-
I don't agree mate. Infact i would bet the majority of people on this site have either had good results from meds and or a HT. Or they are in the process of using meds, and therefore undecided. I think the people who have tried meds, had a negative response and feel the urge to express that, are in the minority in here. So i urge everyone reading this thread to post your experience, be it good or bad. Lets get some real world percentages of side effects.
