Very impressive result! The "one & done" patients are lucky!
-
gtz,
Yea this part of the process is the toughest in my own opinion. I was a nervous wreck, because didn't want to dislodge any of the grafts when attempting to rub away the scabs. What worked for is soaking my entire head about 10-15 minutes before washing my hair. This helps loosen the scabs. I also used vitamin e oil throughout the day, which seemed to help a lot. Hope these tips help a little...

When my grafts shed, they were also bent 90 degrees (some, not all). I'm not sure what causes that but I'm pretty sure that it's normal like Mike said.
-
Nicky,
Your hair is looking better each month. Your final result will be very impressive.
-
I second that...I have a mixture of whispy and stronger looking hairs. I'm almost 11 weeks post-op. You're going to have an awesome result.
-
Joe, that's an excellent result for receiving only 2,200 grafts.
-
I agree with hairthere...but as far wanting a young hairline design, I'd go with Dr. Rahal. He does excellent work...good luck.
-
lorenzo...everything is looking great. I'm about 11 weeks now and i'm relieved that the ugly duckling stage is almost over too. Did you experience any shock loss?
-
Wow...now that's what you call a transformation! Great post Joe

Great cosmetic change, probably makes him look 10 years younger than before. Kudos to Dr. Wong & his team.

I had the same problem with dandruff...try a shampoo called Polytar AF. Or if you live in the U.S. you can buy T-Gel shampoo made by Nuetragena. Both are very effective for clearing up dandruff / sebehorric dermatitis.
-
Good luck with your future growth...everything looks great. Keep us posted.

Awesome result hairshare...no more self conscious days for you! Congratulations, your hair looks great.

Wow, those 7 months flew by man. Your hair looks great, and it will continue to improve over the next few months. Congratulations

I was actually wondering the same exact question a few weeks ago. That's a very interesting question...

gtz,
I emailed Dr. Hasson regarding this same concern. I use to compete as well when I was in college, and still like to train with high intensity. He told me to wait 6 months to squat / deadlift with real heavy weight (going to failure 6-8 reps). Other than that, he said you're fine...just be smart. As for now, I train heavy but I'm not where I was prior to the surgery. Some people don't like to train lats (pullups, pulldowns) a few months following the surgery but that doesn't bother me...so I think you just have to experiment with what exercises you can and can't do. Good luck

hairthere, your temple points are going to look awesome when they grow in. I really like Dr. Feller's work...happy growing.
-
Yea, but I stopped taking the MSM all together. I think I have a bad reaction to sulfur based products.
-
Excellent coverage for only 3,581 grafts. Dr. Wong and his staff did an awesome job!
-
Thanks for the support guys. Yea the scar is still noticeable but we'll see how it turns out a few months from now. Tremblant, are you considering having a hair transplant?
-
Joe, your hair looks awesome! You look like a totally different person than before. I agree with Raphael84, I'm grateful for all the helpful info you post on this forum. By the way, I just ordered the Polytar shampoo that you were telling me about...hopefully it works well for me too.
-
Phil I think your hair is looking great! You'll have a killer hairline this summer
Have you experienced anymore pimples in the recipient area?
-
Hey Phil....Jody was one of my techs and she was working on the left side. I agree that she was really focused compared to the other 3 - 4 techs that worked on me that day (that's not a shot at them). I'm sure both sides will even out when it's all said and done.
