  1. Hairlosscured,

What you said couldn't have been any more true. The Emperor brought up some good points but for Phil's sake, I hope he's wrong. Phil and I spent about roughly the same amount of money on our surgeries, his was a little more but a "second pass" would be totally unacceptable if that were me. I know for me, I sacrificed SO much to get this surgery done, I've lied to close friends, I've changed jobs temporarily, $$$, and the social life to a big hit. But in all honesty, that would be very hard for me to do all over again. On a positive note, I think you'll see the most growth in the 8-10 month range.

  2. Sorry Bill....you can keep everything the same but change the "3" to "4". Thank you!

Garageland...yea you're absolutely right. It's just that I sacrificed a lot to get this surgery done and I guess sometimes I over analyze things. Your hair looks awesome, I just checked out your new pics. The 600 grafts Dr. Hasson transplanted should make a significant difference.

Phil & Megatron , I'll definitely post better pics this weekend. I'll part my hair so you guys can see the transplanted hair.

  3. In regards to the shock loss, yes this is normal. Some people experience it, others don't. Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones. It's suppose to all grow back, but if it was weak to begin with, it more than likely won't return. Most of my shock loss was in the frontal forelock, everyone is different. Do you have any pictures of these "skin patches"? Maybe if we see them, the community will be able to better answer your question.

Sparky, I'm not doubting your knowledge about this but I was wondering if anybody else can back this statment up? I had no clue that glass blocks UV light. I'm just a little concerned bc I have a 4 hour car ride next week.

  5. HMO,

You're hair is looking really good man. I hope my hair looks that good when I'm at 5 months. In regards to the left versus right debate, I can't really comment yet because I have had only a few grafts sprout through the scalp. Hopefully it'll all even out by month 12 for Sparse and Phil.

HMO...I was wondering if you developed any pimples in the recipient area when your transplanted hair began to grow?
