  1. Dr Bhatti has a very very strict 14 day program, you must stick to it, and yes there is mention of NORMAL showering, "no normal showering for 14 days", you can wear a shower cap and shower that way, but just avoid getting your head wet.
  2. its only natural to be concerned, but use a saline spray or mineral water every day gently and you will be fine
  3. I have never heard of 1 month before showering or washing your head, seems very unhygienic to me and very susceptible to bacterial infection
  4. My Doctor (Dr Bhatti) also says to wait 14 days before showering your head, but during that 2 week period you are required to regularly at first use saline water from a spray bottle then mineral water again from a spray bottle. You can shower just don't get your head wet, its not extreme at all. The two week period goes by quite quickly.
  5. well sounds like you could have a real good chance at achieving your goals, take some printed material of examples to your doctor and show him what you like.. take care seth
  6. what norwood scale are you and how good is you donor area? these will help us guide you for the best result, then talk to your surgeon and make it known what you most desire and keen about "a straight hair line," he'll then juggle the overall best solution with your ultimate goal, this is always a worry and we all go through it, so don't stress too much. take care mate seth
  7. here is some images my donor area after 14 weeks shaved head at #1, done by Dr Bhatti click on the link Hair Restoration Social Network ? Community for and by Hair Loss Patients
  8. good to hear you are think conservatively, smart, 1500 FUE would easily do the trick, best of luck
  9. a few people have mentioned the Park Plaza for accommodation which is 10min walk from the clinic, I stayed twice at the Altius I found the price slightly high but it was really nice, and the food was amazing, best room service I have ever eaten, I think i was paying $45 AUD per night which I think is too much, next time I go I might try somewhere else. 10 day after surgery should be ok, just remember to wear a cap outside for the first 3 weeks
  10. Dr Bhatti is pretty easy going with his international / large HT session bookings, you'll see once you get there that he might have 3 other smaller HT going during the day. So i can only recommend if you have already booked flights and can't change them, try and change the date with Dr Bhatti, get all your travel site seeing done first then have the HT, wait 2 days and fly home. All you want to do is take utter care of your head and do his post op care treatment in the comfort of you own bed and home. I also noticed that you want 3500 FUE done, are you expecting this over 1 day or 2 day session? DrBhatti now tends to stick to 3000 max in a day, due to the care of the grafts and the fatigue of his staff, its a very very long day for them, they are on their feet and concentrating so I think he limits the sessions to 3000 p/day now. He tries his best to look after the needs of everyone including his staff. I've caught public buses from the Delhi airport to Chandigarh as well as used his driver, next time I'll fly so its a good thing your considering flying, its a long way especially after a long flight.
  11. Hi there, I noticed you are having a HT with Dr Bhatti, great choice you wont regret it, my suggestion regarding traveling post op is to avoid it, although in one of his promo videos shows others siteseeing after their proceedure, you wont really feel like doing much, and honestly speaking Chandigarh hasnt that much to see, so I would do as much site seeing as you can before the HT and then within 2 days make your way home, as for vaccinations, Ive been traveling for many years and not since 90s have i had a travel needle, use common sense and you will be fine. Best of luck for the HT say hi to Dr Bhatti for me, he's a really nice guy and the team there are all really friendly. take care seth
  12. surely a confirmation on a plane ticket would be enough to satisfy a clinic that you're going, id ask them if you can do that
  13. im having right side growing slower than the left. ive been worried but reading this forum seems norm thanks
  14. I've updated heaps of images over the last 6 weeks, go to my profile page for a looks...
  15. yep its apart of the post op care advised by Dr Bhatti, i really dont recommend using it. i may need to go back and have a some replacement hairs implanted, we'll see as it might come good over the next few months only time will tell. i'll post soon so you can see and judge for yourself, other than that, all is going really really really well, my crown is filling in a bit, already the "Church of England MONK/brother bald patch" is going and my front hairline is in a nice place, I feel i look 10 years younger.
  16. I found out the hard way, J&J hair tonic dislodge quite a few folicles so i stopped using it, and waiting an extra 3 weeks before using it again, and even now i hardly use it. I did Dr Bhatti's post care program with the utmost care, i just wish I had never used the hair tonic, I am afraid I have lost quite a bit of the right front hair line due to the hair tonic. I am at 4 months and you can see the difference clearly. I remember writing in my blog about the J&J tonic and my suspicions then, 4 months later its looking like I was correct. What happened was the oil made the hairs stick to my fingers, even gently dabbing the transplanted area you could see the hairs lifting out of place and onto my finger, I quickly stopped, a few days later I did it again, and the same thing happened so I stopped. my suggestion is to just wait a month or more before using it.
  17. yeah i should upload more soon, ive just been busy with work, my progress has been great, I'm at 14 weeks now, unlike most guys here i am keeping my head shaved at #2 anyway will upload soon... and yes I went back and got a top up with Dr Bhatti and had an extra grafts implanted to the top, just to help fill in the gaps, another reason why I have also why I shave it cause its all a little uneven,
  18. yeah i second that, Reid you HT looks fantastic....
  19. Hi there, Hope everything goes well, Post op care is vital, you will want to protect your implanted hair at all costs, avoid going outside, doing much physical activity, avoid sunlight dust etc and as for a cap, you will want to have quite a loose fitting one. Plan for about 2 weeks after HT before returning to work, if you can work from home I suggest doing that. Takes about 14 days for all signs of the HT to be gone, and the even look between implants and original hair. Around 4 weeks the implants will begin to shed and before you know it you will look like you did before you went in for the HT. Judging by your photos you look like NW IV - V, which means around 3500-5000 grafts depending on the size of your head, with a breakdown of the implants for the crown 1500 - 2000, for the top around 700 and for the front hair line around 1200 - 1500. I hope this helps and best of luck, all the best s
